The upcoming 2025 KTM 390 Adventure, recently spotted in near-final testing, shares the improvements of the next-gen 390 Duke. The Adventure retains the Duke's new LC4c engine with a slight capacity increase to 399cc, delivering 46 hp and 39.5 NM of torque. The extended stroke enhances performance, with the power peak shifted to 8,500 rpm. The chassis, similar to the 2024 Duke, features revisions for rigidity and weight reduction. Notably, the Adventure prioritizes off-road capabilities, featuring a 21-inch front wheel, wire-spoked wheels, and distinct design updates with stacked headlights and a Dakar-style front fairing. The model is expected to compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan four-fifty, with success contingent on competitive pricing.

Gap in the market: KTM 490 + 590 Enduro R with Exc/XC-W parts e.g WP suspension 21/18" 150lbs+ weight-cutting. Also KTM 490/590 ADV Rally model with larger tank Enduro LED tower seat concept ´n´ground clearance for serious on/offroad riding 🤘

KTM rocks, I just traded my 22Duke390 on the 24Duke390, blue model, new bike gets here in January sometime. I love kTm😁.

I don't know, we Indians very rarely drive off road, because most of our city roads is not perfect, that is our off road. So will be very happy if new KTM adv has good low end torque to maneuver bike in city easily. And please keep the weight less to have good power to weight ratio.

KTM should offer 2 versions. The new but minimim version at a minimum increase in price, and then 'the works' asperational R-version that showcases what can be done with a 25% to 30% price increase.

Was the long standing problem w all the small to middle bore bikes.. weight and single cylinder.. so 21in front wheel, more travel,better suspension are great..all the bikes regardless of who makes them don't have highway chops for a @200lbs rider, some gear and riding @200+ miles on the road at the speed of traffic..in the US that is high 70s to mid 80mph on freeways.. your dental work gets vibrated loose at you beg the motor to keep up..why this bike when Honda 300,450,650, Suzuki all already have a proven single? And now Kove trying to tell people that they can rubber mount vibration and buzz out of the ride at speed on pavement.. completely BS.

I have watched several videos describing and suspecting about the bike; all say basically the same thing and all ignore the very unusual exhaust. Were you paid by KTM for your video?

One. That engine is a high revving road engine, and its weakest link. Although heavier, the built for purpose Himalayan 450 engine is way better for the task of going off road. Two, they better correct the suspension, it’s crap. Again, the 450, the WHOLE bike is designed for purpose. So many ADV bikes are cobbled together from various parts, take the T7. It’s got a Mt engine that has the crappest gearbox I’ve used. To the point where I got rid of it. KTM already make a unicorn, it’s called the 690. It’ll kick seven bells of crap out of this. It baffles me that people keep harping on about a unicorn. It’s already there. Meanwhile, hopefully I’ll be getting a 1250 GSA. There’s Mongrel Dog in Australia that has ridden it all over the outback, and never wondered about a unicorn bike. An adventure is what you make of it. Look at C90 Adventures and when he took a C90 scooter. Even chopped it half and stashed it in a sports bag to get it across the Darien Gap. I’ve been through so many bikes, when I should have got a GSA in the first place. I would have saved a lot of money, lol. Just buy the closest you’ll get to a dream bike, and go bugger off somewhere and stop chasing a stupid bloody unicorn.

The 690 is not a unicorn. It could have been, if the designers had learned to control themselves. It's 50% more expensive than it needs to be and weighed down with pointless electronic rider aids and various nerd gadgets that run up the price and reduce reliability. Eliminate all rider aids from the 690 (with the exception of rear ABS to placate the Euro nanny states) and get the price under $10k USD. THEN it will be a unicorn. Since they aren't gonna do that, this 390 looks like the next best thing.
