now you're watching "2025 New Kawasaki 1000 Mach X Unveiled!"
The upcoming Kawasaki 1000 Mach X Legend is rumored will use a Kawasaki Z1000 engine, namely a 1043cc inline 4 cylinder engine whose reliability has been proven.
Meanwhile, in terms of it’s designed, this new neo retro bike will uses the never forgotten shapes of the 750 MachIV to dress appropriately shaped and adapted to the new rules of motorcycle ergonomics.
in the past, the all-new Mach IV 750 H2 superbike substantially raised the bar for performance as Tony Nicosia set a production-bike quarter-mile record of 11.95 seconds at 115.38 mph at Fremont Dragstrip in California on March 11, 1972.

A friend described the saddle as “a thinly-padded two by four”. On a good day, I could manage 400 miles before I had to park it. But, when I had it on Long Island, it was just the thing for smoking (literally) jacked-up Chevelles at stoplights.

Too bad they can't make it a two-cycle motor can you imagine the acceleration and the Power band because a two-cycle has a very short rod which means a piston goes up and down quicker than a 4-cycle with a Long rod and the two cycle does not have to spin a camshaft and intake and exhaust valves which loses horsepower and takes more time for the Piston to complete its rotation not having spring valves and camshaft definitely makes a two-cycle perform way better

Oh please, it's a 4 stroke. How can anybody not recognize the simple fact that that was what made the H2 so darn unique? I can never get over how "looks" plays such a big part in motorcycling for some. Trust me, the H2 was special for one reason. It was a large 2 stroke that had a powerband that made it seem insanely fast. It really wasn't very complicated nor super fast by today's standards. It was all about that sound and the associated thrill of riding and that powerband.

I really don’t see anything attractive about this new offering make a copy of the H2 in a two-stroke. But I do think the Z9RSis something special in my opinion, not original but very good. I think the design has missed the boat big style on this.

I remember the Kwacka two stroke 750 in the '70s. It was said that the fuel consumption was so high, the air vent in the tank cap whistled with the incoming replacement air! I think Kwacka should bring back the bullet proof Z1 900cc engine gour storke with its roller bearing crank, but with improved handling of modern bikes. I loved the howl of the 70s four into one exhausts at high revs and high speed. To hear it these days, have to watch the first Mad Max movie! The howl is memorable and can be spine tingling.

Well Kawasaki have put the original Z1 903cc and home market Z2 750 Cylinder heads back into production a very good thing so they are looking back at their History and not forgetting it. What with the soon to be released retro kawasaki GpZ 900 R replica followed by this homage to the H2 they are on the right track add in the upgraded Z 500 and Ninja 500 models and they are pushing agressively. Possibly due to the fact little known that Kawasaki Motorcycles have been spun off independantly from Kawasaki Heavy Industries about 18 months or so back so now they have to survive and grow from their own efforts without KHI backup that would explain these new models plus the hybrids coming out shortly.

I hope the new machine handles better than the 500 & 750 Kawasaki’s.. I was there when they showed up back in the late 60s for the 500, and the early 70s for the 750. That 500 was known for being hard to start, putting out a smoke screen that would kill acres of mosquitoes, it rattled, I can still hear those pistons rattling in those air cooled bores.. I believe the claimed horsepower was around 50 hp.. The 750 Honda made its debut in 1969 and it made 59 hp. So it was pretty much a battle in the sales department for the $999 Kawasaki or the $1199 750 Honda with electric start… The Kawasaki 500 triple soon got a reputation at the road race tracks as a horrible handler. I can still see them doing tanks slappers in my mind, I will never forget it. I roadraced motorcycles in those days. I did not even want one of those machines. The 350 triple two-stroke Kawasakis. handled as good as the RDs, which were the kings of the race track in the 70s. But the triples could not survive crashes because of the width of the engine. That’s why they are so valuable today, there are so few survivors. you can lament about the passing of the two-stroke era, but believe me these are the good old days. Those machines you were lucky to get 15,000 miles out of a set of pistons and rings, while you were at it, you might as well put new crank seals in those old Kawasaki triples… I’ve had my share of suzuki, two strokes, Yamaha RDs, R5, DS seven, TZ250, RZ 350, TD2B, S2, a 7SS, A1, SS, H1 I even had a factory Road race H1R Kaw two-stroke, triple machine.. You learned to ride with two fingers on the clutch lever in those days

I remember Jap bikes in the 1970s, the expression to describe them was they handle like a bag of crap. One Aussie in the 1980s got to work to cure this, took his great handling Ducati Drama and put a Honda CB 750 in the frame, presto, reliability with the legendary handling of the Duke. He called it the Duconda! It was featured in an Aussie MBike magazine in the 1980s.

I ride a KTM 300 two stroke dirt bike. It is counterbalanced so it barely vibrates, with it's power valve it has a nice wide powerband and makes right around 50 horsepower at the wheel. I fantasize about a 900cc 150 horsepower two stroke triple made with 3 of those KTM 300 jugs in a suitable track ready sport chassis. Now that would be an H2 update! A friend had a resto modded H2 with Fast By Gast pipes, head and cylinder work and round slide carbs. The ultimate power output from it's weed whacker tech piston port engine wasn't terribly impressive by modern literbike standards, but the H2 was all about "personality". The power came on hard, and I immediately understood why people met their maker on those bikes as the chassis wasn't up to it and neither were the tires back then. It's popcorn popper from Hell off kilter wail sounded evil - surely Satan has an H2 in his collection! I liked it a lot - so did somebody else, he recently sold it for 40K. I do like the flat seat retro standard layout and lack of insectoid style. Would like to see a bikini fairing option as the windblast from upright seating on fully naked bikes will wear ya out at speed. This could be a fun project with the usual ECU flash, airbox therapy and full exhaust and suspension work. Nothing ever stays stock in my world 😂

Having owned an original ‘72 H2 , I disagree, I would rather have this new bike. Yes, the H2 was an absolute hoot in a straight line but, in almost every other area (except for styling), is was a terrible bike. The RD350 I had after it, while not as quick, actually handled and braked properly. Thecombination of H2 looks with modern Kawasaki everything else is a home run, as far as I am concerned.

Didn't get the bike bug till about 1980. Road everything I could find after that, and many of the big bikes from the '70. I preferred the Kz1000 over the Suzki GS1000.

Classic styling, smooth lines, what a motorcycle should look like. Most new motorcycle are full of triangular shapes that look out of place and IMHO are ugly. I see a great future for this style of motorcycle.

Dear Kawasaki, I've owned a 1982 KZ440 belt drive for over 20 years, and a 1993 KZ1000 (Police bike) for nearly seven years. Bring this to the United States, and take my money...PLEASE!!!!

Weird. That bike was known for it's engine. Can't make a 4 stroke version!

I've vapor blasted a lot of H2 engines. This would be very interesting with updated brakes and handling.

I hope this is true. I'm a child of the sixties. I've been a biker all my life but I really don't like the the look, of most modern motorcycles. Kawasakis in particular look like something out of a Transformer movie. Oh and I'm sorry kwacker traditionalists but I've never been a fan of lime green. A candy red or blue would be so nice

They've managed to get the proportions right, unlike the 900 RS which has the tank and seat plonked on top like an afterthought.
