As former x70 owner, the two parts that needed. upgrading most in the interior were 1) head unit and 2) the speakers (which were universally recognized as being awful). Head unit has now been done, I hope they did something about the speakers as well.
The IHU looks like it was not custom fitted the X70 given there is HVAC control on the screen as well as the physical button directly underneath it. Seems like someone did a rush job fitting the IHU just to release this teaser. I will take Proton promise to AACP at face value. They promised this since 2016.
Sublime review as always. Can't wait for your full review soon. I am contemplating either for this or the new X90. Gotta make the decision soon. The reason I didn't pull the trigger soon due to I think current X90 NVH is not much better than old X70.
@@MalaysianMotoring Yeah, X90 FC slightly better due to mild hybrid, and a little bit better interior. Hence waiting for this new launching and test drove before pulling the trigger.
@@ashraffendy2010Yeah I wonder why the X70 did not use the X90 powertrain. That would really improve the drive of the X70 because I think owners are aware that the X70 can be considered quite heavy.
@@luqmanhakimi910 heard that might certain changes in the powertrain but not the 48volt for X70. I do agree that if X70 were to use the mild hybrid, it'll be better. Perhaps the limitation of the cost. Or they just dont want to do it due to hierarchy of their products.
i would prefer if the infotainment screen is placed on top of the aircond vent so the viewing angle would be nicer and aesthetically speaking more pleasing to my eyes, like the S70.
Facelift 😁,still sell old tiger part,I think at china plant leftover part just use X90 front face and upgrade screen with new software.Good luck to alls new buyer.
Carplay and android auto is.....not available for now due to licensing but already advertised openly.Cant simply trust p1 and p2,should have integrated from the start Manufacturer worldwide has made this standard and we r having issues here......
I think it looks good. Except for the rear, kinda average with that same rear lights. Nonetheless, i kinda miss the old proton designs that were not streamlined like most car manufacturers today. Back then, waja looks different from persona, persona looks different from exora, and so on.
