This is the new 2025 Subaru Forester, a compact SUV that starts at $29,695 and unlike its competitors, uses a real full-time symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
The sixth generation isn't all new because it uses the chassis and powertrain from the last generation, but the fully independent suspension has been stiffened to improve ride quality, and under the hood, the naturally aspirated 2.5 liter 4-cylinder boxer motor makes essentially the same power, producing 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels.
The Forester features a healthy 8.7 inches of ground clearance, a very spacious interior especially the second row with waterproof and leather options, available X-mode drive modes and hill descent control, a 1500-pound towing capacity, LED lighting, plenty of driver assists, and more. The premium trim appears to be the best value, with the sport making a great rugged option for those who spend time outdoors. Would you buy one? Let me know down below

I have a white Sport model on order now & hope to get it later in the summer. I chose this over the Premium because I love the bronze 19" rims, Star tex interior materials, & the nice bronze exterior /interior accents touches. It also comes with the Har/Kardon speakers ( Canadian model), better suspension system. I still own a 2011 Outback ( since new.. incredibly reliable, no rust, well built, ) & just want this car for the technology upgrades. No other brand beats it for safety when driving in severe conditions

Base model for those preferring the twin screens, with some buttons, and no moonroof. The Sport is interesting with the bronze wheels and trim -- brown trims inside. And yes, the Premium will be the biggest selling model. At some dealerships, the Sport may be hard to find. What is really interesting is how all their line-up of cars, once the 2.5 engine is added, cost about the same. The CrossTrek is about the same or higher priced, with a more plain interior -- interesting. Have you noticed that once a windshield is smaller, those stupid cameras are in your face, or at least noticeable, on the CrossTrek. I wish they could make a more simple model without all the nanny stuff, and sell it for three thousand less. Less to buy and less to replace should you actually use it. If I get a Subaru, I will miss the cap-less fueling system found on my Fusion. Nice at the pump when you have no cap to mess with. Will also miss the beep sound for parking assist.

I am told the TCV is gone -- thank goodness!
