Some 60 years after establishing a dealership base in Canada, Toyota is expanding on the nameplate that started it all. Way back in 1964, Toyota introduced Canadians to the little car known as the Crown. It was sold alongside the Land Cruiser and boxy little Publica.
Now comes a wagon version of the Crown sedan that arrived last year in a revival of the Crown badge. But is the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia really a wagon or is it a crossover utility? While no one at Toyota dares utter the word, the Signia sure looks the part of a wagon, which is entirely a good thing. Yes, it does have a taller seating position and higher floor than the sedan for ease of entry and exit. But it also has wagon-like exterior proportions - more of a tall “shooting brake” with SUV utility and a car-like ride - one that looks refreshingly clean and modern.
