I've literally just started to learn how to play guitar and i've set this as my first song to learn (hopefully). I'm a massive fan of T Rex and I think you really do it some justice
Watching this after having a binge of T Rex lol….and low and behold GnR will be playing at Glastonbury….you got me wanting to ask them to play this when they’re up….they’ll fckn send the crowd nuts if they bust this out!!!
nice! trying to learn it by ear and got most of the rhythm and chords down by watching this, now i gotta work out the lead bit in the chorus. probably just mess around with the e blues scale to find the notes
thank you. and i looked at the video, the one part does look like he is playing bar chords, i think the song is layered, with a backing and lead, so the part can be played differently, there are probably a lot of different positions you can use to play this song, any of them are good as long as they sound right :)
I have gone back and forth between whether it is played hitting the G note or the F# with a lot of bend up to the G. At first your version sounded correct but I broke down and watched him play it live on a youtube video and it looks like it really should be played by hitting the F# and giving it a bend up just past G. But it sounds great.

trolling? that's fine seeing that you miss understood what i wrote, yes it was easy to learn, and yes it is a catchy song, my saying that does not mean I do not think Marc Bolan and the rest of T.Rex weren't brilliant musicians. I was simply stating that it wasn't hard to learn, that does not mean it was easy to write, or that they are not talented writers/musicians. Also don't under estimate people you know nothing about. Go troll somewhere else.
