I like that second song choice, reminds me for those Bay Area songs on the way to the Bay Area. It’s a thrill in Las Vegas, even better than San Francisco.
I mean yes it's The-Weeknd, but on what planet is "Blinding Lights" NOT appropriate in Vegas? It wasn't used back in 2013 only because it didn't exist then. Also check out that In-N-Out Burger sign both directions on I-15, a lesser "only in Vegas" treat. Only wish this could have been after Allegiant Stadium (new home of the Raid-uhs!) opened along I-15. Great remix, Jim! 👍
Great remix. I loved the transition at 6:01. Las Vegas never disappoints and you ride shows that it's bigger than I thought it would be before I visited there.
A great remix ... good to see you back and not just posting videos for the sake of posting videos. Also able to see just how great the difference in picture clarity from then to now with you filming in 4k
Thanks, I'm NOT filming in 4K, this was the same footage that was used in 2013, I just know who to "tweak" it better than I did then, that's why it looks better.
Nice ride! Always liked seeing Vegas's infrastructure and you did a good job on the remix- great ride! Really enjoyed the video and always do! Always makes my day!
❤️❤️❤️❤️. Always a great one! Everytime i hear the intro music, i settle in and chill out! Watching these videos helps me relax and forget about the world for a few. In case I’ve never mentioned it!!
Perhaps you should bring back that "Chelsea Morning" credit. It's become so much your signature that I've seen other people call it the "Freewayjim theme". 😉
What a driving experience, would be amazing to drive in the USA, it's on my bucket list. What a spectacular sunset! Thank you so much for sharing, have an awesome day! 🙂
Nice drive Jim! Neat of you to use modern music, did not expect that! I know new trips are some time away considering how things are now, but Phoenix actually has a skyline now which would be nice to check out. And if you wanna keep your plans in the Northeast, go ahead! NYC has some new stuff I think you would like
Rare to hear current music in your videos (by current I mean a current or recent AT 40 hit), but that fit so well. Weeknd "Blinding Lights" was WAY too overplayed in 2020, great song but got very tired of hearing it after maybe 4 months or so. But in this video it fits perfectly.
LOL thanks, well I'm in my late 50s so I'm not in tune with current "popular" music but I too heard that song a lot (without trying mind you) and felt it had the right elements and would work in the right spot as far as a video goes, glad you agree.
That Weeknd song choice was basically perfect for the segment of the video, and doubly so considering the "Sin City" line and the fact that it's a Vegas-based song. When do you plan to start traveling again? When you do, I recommend you to come to Texas again. Your last Austin video was a long long while back and our skyline looks very different now
Just for grins n giggles, I watched the original (13-50) last night while doing my usual exercise routine. Sure do like that massive new smart TV we bought last year! Memories of our 2nd trip thru Vegas, also in 2013, come flooding back. I kinda' like how they're mixing pop tunes these days. A little heavy on the compression. I'll take it! 😎
I visited here in 2018. It was HOT…but cool. 😁. Somehow Vegas was smaller than id originally pictured. Ok question: i asked once how you did your camera setup, and you told me, but i don’t remember hardly any of it. lol. Except that you used bricks to hold down the tripod or something to that effect. Could you possibly tell me again? I would like to maybe film a bit on my Christmas trip.
Metro Las Vegas has roughly the same population as Metro Pittsburgh, Austin and Cincinnati. Here's the video of my camera setup. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ApDqCR7T5bA.html
Amazing! Next year in the 2022 season u should update the intro but still use the Chelsea loft track but when the FWJ logo pops up add a car sound effect
Random: You must be based out of GA. If so that is cool to see someome from my homestate make videos like this. I really enjoy the virtual roadtrips. Keep it going!!!
@@Freewayjim I figured bc the intros were either the the I-85/Buford Hwy Conn and the downtown Connector near 10 & 14th streets. Videos like this make me miss my hometown (Atlanta/Clayton Co.). Keep it up. You just earned another subscriber!🙂
@@InterstateRaziTV That doesn't mean it fits this kind of a video, many songs have connections to cities through TV and movie that I would probably not use.
Sorry I am late! Have been a big fan for now 5 years. Any more videos coming soon? I watch all of them through TV! Keep it up. The sound tracks are amazing.
Even though it's highly unlikely you're do a road trip this year, it's great to see you're still kicking with these new videos- even the remixes. Also I noticed for this remixed video that you offered no commentary at the end. I'm guessing you're getting tired of doing it. I actually grew into enjoying your thoughts at the end. :)
Thanks, I probably won't go anywhere but you never know. I just did not feel like doing a commentary on this one, the video, for whatever reason was kind of a struggle for me, I just wanted to wrap it up.
I-15 through Las Vegas forms a backbone Interstate highway through the metro area. Also, I love what the LV Spaghetti Bowl used to look like before adding HOV ramps until they're around since the late 2010s to help improve traffic (I mean the project is called Project Neon).
Jim I have a few questions for you. What photo cropping software do you use to get those signs nice and cropped. 2nd. How did you make the sign templates?
I thought the original was fine as it was, this is better because I'm able to make the video footage look better withngs I've learned over the years and it was an excuse to use "Blinding Lights".
I'm aware that the bridge in Long Beach is done, I live in Atlanta so it's niot like I can go out there on a whim. As for new videos, I really don't know, I don't have anything planned right now.
From Las Vegas have freeways, even though I-15 is Las Vegas Freeway and other freeways I-515 Great Basin Highway, that would be instead from Nevada on Google Maps that I seen.
Was REALLY surprised when I heard you remix with a recent chart topper! A bit worried that it may get DMCA'd but if you don't monetize it's probably not a big deal. I know you favor tracks from the past, but hope you add more recent tracks to future remixes!
They seem to maintain lighting on there interstate lighting and overhead freeway signs I remember when Alabama used to maintain every interstate and lights better, I wonder why they don’t use the lights on the sign if there still up there? To much money? Not sure
I-15 was rebuilt through the Vegas strip as well and I-515/US 95 at the end of the video will soon become part of I-11. So much has changed now from 2013
@@jadentaylor8 I have no idea to be honest. I normally don't go into making videos with the idea of using a certian artist, I look for what fits the footage and the mood and go from there, sometimes I'll try 5-10 or more songs until I find what I think "feels" right.
Have you noticed the gas prices is skyrocketing in your area due to Ukraine and Russia war which is ongoing? California gas prices went up as high as $7+/gallon in some area in Los Angeles. Here's in Tennessee, it is $3.99/gallon. This the recent gas prices at the time of writing of this comment.
@@itsyourboyquetinbrown2939 LMAO, whatever, just to be clear, you want unsub the channel because I won't travel and film the route you want, do you have any idea how silly that is? this takes time and money to do, be real.
