21 Card 1980's PSA Preview & Blind Reveal ....not too bad!

I was happy with this submission. It was nothing special but got some decent grades overall. These 1980s cards are tough on grading. I graded some Tiffany's for the first time and graded my first Bill Ripken ff card. 21 card order that contains 8 baseball, 2 football, and 11 baseball cards!

Nice job again on those pre grading skills, those Tiffany's can be tough due to glossy surface. Good video

I had never graded one before so what the heck...I submitted 3! ha ha. They do have a different surface for sure. I was a little disappointed in the Gwynn but happy with the other 2. Thanks so much for the view and comment. I take a lot of pride in my pregrades and the accuracy that I am at.

Thanks for the view and comment on this video too. I have actually been doing pretty good with my pregrades as far as accuracy! I try to really take pride in that. I will be posting some more videos very soon!

Whenever I see that Barry Sanders card, I remember back to college when I was at that game where the photo was taken. I like how you show the card and then return in the same video. Alvin Davis was a great player. I was surprised that your Henderson RC got a 5. The slight fold/wrinkle in the upper left I figured it would make it a 4. So congratulations on that card.

I sent some cards in on the 80’s special. Some were the same as yours. They’ve been in my collection since the 80’s. I was disappointed with my grades. I went over them with a fine tooth comb, loupe, light, magnifying glass and thought they were all perfect. My FF Ripken is perfectly centered and corners are perfect. It came back a 9. I penny sleeved all star cards back then. Puckett rookies came back 9’s. My Sanders just like yours…9. The only 10 I got was an ‘89 fleer Randy Johnson. Other cards 8’s and 9’s. A lot of people are saying PSA refuses to give out many 10’s from the junk wax era. Supposedly POP control. IDK. You’ve sent to SGC, how are they treating the junk wax era? Have you done any cross overs? I have some of those Jordan stickers that are perfectly centered, but now I’m afraid to send them to PSA.

That sucks you didn't get the grades you thought that you would. That junk wax era is very tough on grading for sure. PSA 9s are great grades I feel like. When I go over my cards all I use my dining room light and my eyes. Funny how well that works for me. Id love to see some of your cards. Happy collecting!

Nice grades! And great job with your pre-sub accuracy 👌 I love 1980’s reveals. I’m actually shocked that Larry Bird middle panel got an 8. So far off center…but interesting to find out middle panel centering not a major factor 👍

Thanks so much for the view and comment. I wasn't sure with that Bird card either. I don't think I have ever noticed that centering before like that so was very curious. Thanks a bunch for the comment about my preview grading. I take a lot of pride in my grading accuracy. I should go back on my sports cards videos and figure out my %. I know its crazy for right on or 1 grade different. Hoping to see your next PSA reveal soon. Loved the SGC one you did.

Thanks so much for the view and comment! I normally are pretty darn close with my predictions which sure helps during sub time and buying cards. I feel PSA has been doing a great job with my subs for sure. I cant say on others simply because you don't have their cards in hand. I hope to get some more videos up soon. Happy collecting

I was really happy with my last modern PSA sub. That one had some bangers in it. I think it was right before this video. Check out at least the reveal if you get bored. Thanks again!!

Hey, awesome video. I completely agree about the 1987 Fleer Basketball set. Still seems undervalued/underrated, but maybe I'm just saying that because I have so many high-grade cards out of that set. :)
