It's impossible to choose a favorite quilt. They are all so beautiful. I have narrowed my list to 5.....Friends forever, Generations of love, Sweet cakes, Ohio star, and Twinkle and shine. That said, all the others are also on my list. I look forward to getting this book. Thank you...
You do a fantastic job at relating to your audience despite your inability to see us. You are a natural teacher and are always a pleasure to watch & listen to in your videos. Love that you give color options with your pattern because I have a hard time envisioning if the fabric I think of using for a pattern will be a great fit. All the projects in Oh Happy Day look great for all levels of quilters and I am waiting for my book to arrive. I'm so looking forward to the SALs and would like to hear more of your thoughts on using solids vs. prints as this is something I have recently taken an interest in. Keep the tutorials coming & your fabrics and patterns are the best eye candy around.
Thank you so much for watching along and for your kind comments...these comments make all of the difference! I think the SAL will be so much fun...I've got the quilt all designed and ready to go and I think it comes together beautifully. =)
Once again you knocked it out of the park. Everything about your Fabrics, Designs, attention to all of the detalis is outstanding. THE best !!!!!!! You arę such a joy to watch and Listen to. Cant wait for the hand Quilting series you spóke of. You arę truly an inspiration. Thanks for all of your hard work and effort. Chris G.
We love our quilts backed in Minky. If you are sending them off to a longarmer, you might ask if they have a brand preference. Mine prefers working with a name brand, he suggested Shannon, specifically. And then, especially with a puff quilt, you might consider skipping the batting...minky adds a lot of weight.
I think that is so fun too! My line that comes out later this fall, Buttercup & Slate, is a nice compliment to Spring Brook. It doesn't have the blue in it but it would allow you to add some extra prints if you'd like to stretch Spring Brook out a bit. =)
Corey thank you for the trunk show, I enjoyed every moment. These are ALL so BEAUTIFUL and choosing a favorite is impossible. I decided to share my top 3 from these awesome creations, the Proposal, Best Loved, and the Solids quilts but they are all so beautiful and the quilting is just amazing! Again, thank you for sharing. I look forward to your next video 😍 and can't wait for the hand quilting series.
How can you decide which quilt you like best.... they are all so beautiful. This is the best reveal I've seen. To show the quilting up close is magic. Such a wonderful video. ❤️ thank you great book 📖 👍 👏 😊 👌 ❤️
Okay Corey, I’m leaving my third 😄 comment! I had my sister over for lunch and a pamper sister day, and I made her watch this video. She also loved all your quilts and pillows! And one last comment, I finally broke down and bought your book! I’ve been very frugal lately, so this is a splurge!! 😍 thank you for all your wonderful talents that you share!!
You just go right ahead and keep leaving them!...I love reading them. =) I'm so glad your sister enjoyed the video also--and that sounds like a wonderful day the two of you shared! Thank you so much for purchasing my book...that means so much. I hope you enjoy looking through it and reading the stories behind each quilt!
Oh my goodness, I don’t know where to start. I love the format of this video. It was wonderful to be able to see each project from your book in such great detail. The patterns are lovely, the quilting is amazing, your fabric choices are perfect. I have always been a fan of striped bindings, and if I’m not mistaking, you used striped bindings with each quilt and pillow. Just perfect! Thank you for the time and effort it took to share this with us!
I am not much of a solids person, but every time I go through the book, which is often 😅, I fall in love with Oh Happy Day more! I've managed to locate the border fabric, and can't wait for it to arrive so I can start picking out matching fabrics. 😀 Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us.
I wouldn't have said that I was much for solids either. After I started using them more often, I realized how impactful they can be. Color choices really play into how the quilt will turn out and they are a lot of fun to play with.
I am a hand quilter as well as machine quilter and I can’t wait for your hand quilting series to come out. It’s always fun to see how others do their hand quilting craft!
Beautiful quilts. I love your fabric choices. In my quilting I tend to use prints rather than solids, there are so many beautiful collections and designs to choose from. Thanks for the trunk show.
I tend to use mostly prints too. For a number of years, I designed quilts using only solids for RJR fabrics to help market their line of solids and that was such a good experience for me. It's definitely different designing with solids as opposed to prints!
Hi Cory! So Happy I finally got a chance to watch your trunk show. Your Fabric Lines Are My Favorites! The Colors and Prints of Your Fabric Are Always So Beautiful! I Love the Solid Colors in the Quilt on Your Book Cover.
Loved all your projects! It was especially nice to see the pillows in different colors! I’m going to have to make the turtle one for a baby quilt! It was so cute!!!
Thanks so much for sharing all the quilts and pillows. I especially loved the details on the quilting. I need to look for those designs! Pat yourself on the back for a job super well done!!
My favorite is GENERATIONS OF LOVE! I love Bonnie & Camille. And your quilt looks great not using the red fabrics. Just awesome! I can't wait to get your book. All my best.
Have you seen Camille's latest lines?...they aren't in shops yet but they feature more of the greens/blues and I think they are so pretty! She's shared peeks of them on Instagram/Facebook.
I so enjoyed spending this time with you and your quilts. You may feel disconnected talking to your camera, but for me it was like being with a friend. Totally enjoyable for sure!
Beautiful Cori!! How fun are these!!? I love how you describe each pattern/fabric/quilting pattern on each piece. This has encouraged me to possibly unbundle all my fat quarter stash and sort them according to colors. I’m a chicken!! I don’t know why, but my brain says don’t mix collections. I can see that is CRAZY thinking! I love Tilda as well, so love to see your project with that! ❤️❤️❤️thank you!
Excellent Cory! You did a fabulous job in designing your quilts and pillows, but also all the decision making on fabric choices, colors, quilting design s! Also, I especially enjoy your video presentation, with your beautiful enthusiasm and excitement describing your projects! Great job and May God bless your next endeavors!! ❤️🎉👏👏👏
Thank you so much!...it is always fun to put together a book. So much goes into all of the elements. I'm so fortunate to be able to work with Martingale--they add all of those perfect finishing touches and really bring it all to life.
@@CorianderQuilts I’ve got 30+ years as a graphic designer & quilting is such a great hobby for me. I have a few favorite fabric designers, pattern designers-and you’re one!! 🥰
'Sweet Cakes' for me! At least 3 designs in this book are now on my 'To Do List' - 'Generations of Love', 'My Proposal' and 'Sweet Cakes' are gorgeous.
I loved to see all the quilts. Your explanation on why you used the colors for the quilt was very helpful. I really enjoyed seeing the quilting up close. Looking forward to the hand quilting video.
I want to make them all!!! My big girl choice is the Ohio Stars, also born and raised in Ohio. But I just luv the little Solitude quilt, it's my favorite. Maybe it's the hand quilting, or maybe it's just the adorable little pine trees and cottages, cabins or houses. I want to just pick one out and live in it. It would be a great lake house quilt or even done in Christmas colors. I can't wait to get my hands on this quilt book! Thank you for all your videos and patterns such a great inspiration.
