The Wagner POWs are nothing short of frank! However, although they appear somewhat shocking with their torrid stories of prison of abuse, they seem to be genuinely upfront with what they say. They also seem less guarded about their opinions on the war. This was a fascinating interview. dear dimitri -- i was relieved when you said, "let's talk about the war." after a description of life in a russian prison one can understand why they agreed to be recruited. are the conditions described here similar in the prison where navalny is detained? or those who protested and were arrested?

Wow..., totally captivating! I believe he was telling the truth, raw and unadulterated! His description of the Russian penal colony made even the worse American prisons sound like luxury resorts. Totally believe his reason for joining Wagner..., "if" he survives a year in Ukraine they said he would be fully pardoned and he jumped at the chance. Granted, he probably didn't know how slim the odds of surviving really were at the time. He gets shot three times and then captured, but he "survived", so will he get his pardon if he's released (exchanged)? Would be really interesting to hear what happens to him.

I'm so confused by this conversation. All the prison jargon, who is who, the ranks, who does what to whom, the punishments, the prizes....completely baffled. In fairness to the prisoner, he is 100% blunt and honest. That takes guts, or some kind of apathy.

What's scary is not only the Russian army scum is in Ukraine but the degenerate prisoners are allowed out of prison and onto Ukrainian land. This is terrifying. Stay strong as best as you can dear Ukrainian people. ❤️

It bothers me that they keep saying that it’s horrible to force regular army to fight next to prisoners. As far as I can see, and I can’t see far, because I’m not there, the regular armed forces of Russia are as bad or worse than the prisoners getting hated on. It looks like ‘regular’ people in Russia are a precious few, thin on the ground. eta 4/5/23 I feel horrible about my comment, but the horrors of this war keep compounding, with the waste of lives. BUT, the good Russian expats have a relatively intact country waiting for them should they return. Ukrainians - don’t have that luxury. So ordinary Russians need to stop this.

That's pretty disgusting what the customs in Russian prisons are. I know rape happens to some extent in all prisons but to systematize it in such a way as they have makes it all that more perverted and abusive! Rape seems to be a reoccurring theme for Russia as if there is something mentally twisted about either how people are raised, genetics, or both. I've heard that Russia also lies to these convicts and then does not expunge their record (probably because they weren't meant to survive anyhow).

After hearing it All.I hope you find a way to send this guy to the farthest Northern part of Russia, who would have a psychological person who might be able to find some kind of HUMAN, in him.
