I want to say " THANK-YOU" to the Wander Women and all their followers for supporting my small business Etsy shop. I started this shop in Jan 2021 to make durable, light weight, and cost effective backpacking gear. The Wander Women graciously took up my offer to field test my gear on their PCT adventure. Seeing my gear used and loved means so much to me! I am loving this amazing journey. Again THANKS for you support!
I discovered you ladies in the middle of the 2020 lockdown. I was so intrigued that I scrolled back in time to your very first video and have traveled with you all the way up to now be joining you in real time. Thank you for enriching my life and being my go-to on challenging days. I am 70 young and still finding endless adventures in my life. The Wander Women are kindred spirits living the unlimited life!
It’s like a little blessing when the “Wonder Women” post a new video! I feel honored to be able to share your journey with you this way. Beautiful footage (no pun intended) of this section. Gorgeous!
So happy to have your UTube channel be the first that popped up on my screen this morning. We, in some parts of Canada, are celebrating our first ever Truth & Reconciliation Holiday. This day has been set aside to remember our Native Culture and what has happened in the past, no so nice at times, and with thoughts to the present and future of our growth together. Their ancestors were the first peoples to walk the North American countryside and see first what you have been enjoying throughout your Walk-a-Bout. Continued safe journeys and I for one really enjoy your scenic videography of a place a will never have a chance to walk myself. 😃🇨🇦
All four of you rock, sitting and standing out in that hail storm eating you dinner. 🤣 As always very proud of you all. Bye Mary Poppins, so great to meet you! 💝
You help me to get calm and get rid of anxiety. Such lovely videos. I'm so thankful for you. Your choice of songs. Such lovely inspiration. Chases away anxiety. Fears and depression. So thankful for all of you sweet ladies. Amen to ya!
I see there's 2 people who gave this vid a thumbs down. How is that possible? Wander women rock!! Keep it up ladies you are an inspiration to my wife & I and our 5 & 6 yr old "wander girls"
Oh the beauty of the John Muir Trail ! You are able to capture the most incredible scenery with such deft. I savor every moment you capture for us and even started shivering when that sleet pelted you with those little ice balls. Thank you for your encouragement to keep moving, even when the road might be a rough one. Bye Mary Poppins, you were a joy to have along this beautiful journey! Love and Hugs from your Oregon Buddy !
The amazing views you ladies capture on film would make great post cards. Mountains and lakes, nothing better. Stay safe out there and keep posting for those of us who are stuck at home. Thank you!
Wow WAWO! You are in the thick of the Sierra beauty. Fingers crossed for a bit more La Niña weather for the next couple of weeks. Whatever happens you all will come out smiling. Thanks again for the ride.
I have watched SO many of your videos but have yet to comment. THANK YOU so much for taking us along on your journey. I absolutely love the inspiration at the end of each video. It helps me reset my mind frame sometimes. You ladies are amazing and I look forward to the rest of this adventure and the many many more to come. Happy Trails!
Another great video, thank you ladies. You are blessed to live in such a beautiful country. Sending best wishes from the UK for the next stage of your wonderful adventure.
Another great video. Sleet/hail that was not needed. Way to save your gaiters. Yes triple crown all the way. I like Mary Poppins creativeness. Blessings and safe hiking!
Very cool you are getting closer to where I am in Southern California. Hoping to get on the PCT while I am here visiting my son. If I am lucky maybe we will cross paths!
Your videos bring me so much joy, thank you. Watching your time with special friends and helpful people along with this beautiful scenery is so special. Hugs from BC Canada. Stay safe.
Wow, the devils post pile is exactly like the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland…both gorgeous structures made by nature. Amazing footage in Yosemite. Great video, my friends!! Stay safe. 🪵🏕🗺🎒🥾
Yes, and it travels under the sea to its twin in Scotland. I think there is a legend of a Giant named Finn? that created the causeway to reach his love. Devils Tower also has those basalt columns. Really amazing!
So nice to see you on the JMT. Hope you have some nice warm gloves for those very chilly mornings. I know that you all are better prepared for mountain snow than many other hikers, still please be careful. Tis the season for sudden snow falls (while the rest of us lowlanders are praying for rain to prevent more fires). Happy Trails.
Glad you got to enjoy Yosemite valley and mammoth. You are hitting the sierras when they are getting their first snows of the season so be careful to stay warm and hopefully it won’t be icy sleet on the peaks. Bring your ice ax and crampons. So great to see you gals back on trail. Not sure if your next resupply is bishop but make sure to stop at schats for best pastries of the sierra towns, as well as their mule kick sandwich 🥪. Be safe.
Awesome! I was south of you guys going from Kearsarge to horseshoe meadows, climbed Whitney on the 29th during that cold snap. We thought we may bump into you, but alas you were a good week or so behind us. Good to see ya’ll back on the trail!
Thank you for the beautiful scenery so awesome! Beautiful America lakes big tree a little snow thrown in👍🏻enjoyed Mary Poppins too! You’re all feral❤️🏔🥾🍺TX🌺
The beauty of that section just blows me away- nice weather except cold mornings and that sleet storm....brrrr! Love your music....esp “Ellery” - not familiar with her and love the Thousand Island section - wow! I’ll miss seeing Mary Poppins but will check out her site. Great products- will check those out too even though I’ll never thru hike, I will use on our day hikes 🥾
It makes my day when I get a Wander Women video notification. This one brought back fond memories of my 2020 JMT hike. Loved Thousand Island and Garnet Lakes. Great to see Mary Poppins too! The adventure continues. Thanks for taking us along. Take care.
Smiling almost the entire time watching this. Incredibly beautiful. Sad to see Mary Poppins leaving you guys. Keep bringing the lovely, please! Hugs to you guys!
I loved seeing the CDT through Colorado in the fall last year and more unique views of JMT in the fall this year. September must be the best time to hike.
Wonderful production. Thank you for the effort, lots of work to put it together, I know as a career videographer. I am familiar with the entire area, some hiking (Devils Postpile area) but the Thousand Island lake visit was a 3-day pack mule and horse adventure, deluxe with gourmet food prepped by the pack company. I highly recommend that approach at my age! Ha, but you gals are no spring chickens, except for Mary P. Good for you gals enjoying life to the fullest. Cheers ladies.
I still can’t figure out how you guys hikes and get these amazing videos. So gorgeous! Haven’t seen the Sierras at this time of year. Crisp cool and lovely!
We should do a big Triple Crown celebration in the Springs when you guys are done. Who knew retirement of 2015 would take you on such an Epic journey. So proud of all 3 of you! Happy and safe trails!
I bought the bags too. Already had two water bottle holders for a couple years ago from another place-i highly recommend having one. Love their bags. Work great.
Wonderful video!!! I hiked the same section in June. Absolutely beautiful. You’ll inspire me to put the PCT on my radar. Still trying to complete the JMT fir now. ☺️
I've been following your channel for quite a few months now. What a great job filming and editing to produce the videos! I think it's awesome that you guys have been able to retire with obviously enough security to do these thru hikes and adventures and basically, do whatever you want. Not this baby boomer lol. I think one good reason to follow/watch some YT channels (but only top notch content like yours :)) is to experience adventures and parts of the world through other people's adventures and travel, when that's the only choice. I use my imagination and visualization techniques to experience the trails. Luckily I'm able to hike, jog and bike locally here in Colorado. Some days I'll skip meals to have the $$ to pay for bike repairs. We do what we must!
Went to Yosemite 30 yrs ago - still have a 3D map of Yosemite hanging by my desk - Tuolumne Meadows is the most beautiful place on earth. Camped at Vogelsang and a bear got all 7 days of my dehydrated food hung off a tree and drug it down the mountain eating it all - fortunately I found my keys, contacts, and cardiac meds untouched down the mountain! But BEAUTIFUL up there. Hope to revisit some day - am 68.
I am a bit late watching your video. I am so glad you ladies are out hiking your dream. I am going to the Shenandoah's to overnight hiking and trying out my new hammock and other gear. It supposed to rain but that's how it goes. I will just embrace the suck. I am glad you shown your gear because I have been looking for a decent water bottle holder. I do like the bags with the zipper on top because it is an easier access to get out what you need instead of taking everything out of the roll top bag to find an item. Thanks! I will check out your friends gear.
Was traveling for a week and didn’t have Wi-Fi, so I’m just watching this now. Love it so much! Can you gals talk about your gear sometime in these videos?
Great scenery. The trail looks so well cared for. I will look up the products on Gear Bags for gifts for my granddaughter. How did 4 of you get a ride to Mammoth? In one car? Take care, be safe.
This is the first of your videos that I've watched and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Towards the beginning of the video as I was looking at all the ladies in your group I saw one that looked just like Mary Poppins. What a coincidence. Right? Then at minute 14:30 you said Mary Poppins will be leaving once you get into Mammoth. So it was actually her! I've been following her for about three years.
What brand or what type of camera are you using when you bring this on your hiking trips it is so clear it’s like 4K can you tell us the name of the brand the model etc. etc. please
I thought that was a pretty cool repair that Mary Poppins did. Maybe she knows more cool stuff? These things kinda come out more in videos than many other formats. Anyway, maybe sometime after you finish the PCT, maybe the Wander Women and Mary Poppins could plan a hike together?
