Too funny Mart Poppins, giving Pesky a little of what she dishes out, cracks me up 🤣 So good to see your wonderful smiling faces. Thanks for taking us along.
Yay 😁 back on the PCT accompanied by the lovely Mary Poppins. Those rocks with water flowing over them into pools looked like a cold refreshing wake up ! So now you not only have your infamous “Town faces” but have added a resounding “whoop, whoop” and did I see a “Town Dance” as well? You are legends. Safe journeys as you continue south from your Oregon Buddy.
So glad to see you women back on the PCT and with Mary Poppins too. This is a very beautiful area. My daughter finished her hike on September 23. Now in route to returning home. Love those town faces. Looking forward to the rest of your journey. Blessings and safe travels.
What a great surprise it was to see you at Glen Aulin! I'm the woman who was looking for the unlocked bear vaults, but ended up staring slack-jawed at you for several seconds because my brain did not understand why those women from the internet were sitting in front of me. My companions and I splashed in those same Tuolumne River pools the next day, and watching this was like reliving our trip!
checked the dates and realized while you awesome ladies were on this section, I was up north a ways doing a shakedown loop with my new gear on a bit of the TRT and then PCT :) cool to think that although I was mostly alone on my hike, the mountains were full of powerful women out there doing the thing!! now I'm back at my home base, keeping training for my hopeful 2022 NOBO, watching your videos while I row. thanks for the inspiration Wander Women!!
Thank you for filming and editing this. I hike this silo SoBo in 2015 around the first week of September. Still beautiful. I met friends from my thru hike attempt in 2014 at Reds Meadow for Labor Day Weekend before I returned to Missouri. Thank you again for sharing this.
Your message is so positive and encouraging. More people need to be seeing your story and have the confidence that they too can get off the couch, hit the trail and join the adventure.
Nice you made it back on trail, and I enjoyed your featured friend Mary Poppins. Looks like those soaking potholes on the smooth riverbed was beautiful.
So happy to see you all on trail again! You had me worried for a minute. 🥰 Please tell Mary Poppins that I am so excited to make spaghetti leather. I’ve watched so many videos on hiking food and have never seen someone do sauce in “leather” form. LOVE getting a food tip I’ve not yet heard. Many thanks. Sleep well and be safe. ⛰😎
It is so much fun to see you hike into one of my favorite Parks. I have so many memories of Yosemite. So enjoyed camping and hiking the trails in Yosemite and Kings Canyon. Loved seeing it through your eyes and adventure. Thank you for taking us along. Loved the ending!!
Awesome as usual! Pesky you got bested by Mary Poppins “Just a spoon full of peanut butter helps the medicine go down.” LOL. Glad ya’ll are back on the PCT! WAWO!
Congrats! We started our cross country trip and have gotten to rocky mtn nat park, hiked in wind rivers and are now in Sawtooths of Idaho. Looks like California is still having extensive fires. We are hoping to get there at some point but looks like camping is not doable at this point there due to fires. Be safe, best of luck! Thanks for taking us along!
I am so happy to see you back on trail, loving the granite and clear streams. Glad you took a dip in that lovely cool water. Now for the JMT section that I so love -- getting my virtual hike on. Nice to see Mary Poppins again too. Happy Trails!
OMGosh you women are amazing! My hubby called you "bad ass". I agree! Enjoyed the desert volcanic section. So good to see you back on the trail! Mexico here you come!
Yosemite is so gorgeous. The glacier carved granite slabs are like nothing else in the world. The water is beyond crystal clear snd ice cold. Love to put my feet in after a long day hiking 🥾 Unfortunately it’s past season for tuolomne store to still be open. Lee Vining and Yosemite valley are your only connections to civilization. Kee vining is very hiker friendly. They have whoa Nellie deli that’s a great place to eat with a fantastic view from their outdoor patio of mono lake. But when you get around mammoth make sure to fill up there and don’t miss schats bakery in bishop if you get off there. The schats in mammoth is not worth your time but the one in bishop is fantastic. Don’t miss it. Thanks for posting
Hi ladies, loved the video in Yosemite! Thanks for showing us your campsites & what your're eating. so interesting. you gals are amazing with hopping planes & getting to your next destiny. what a great adventure! if you make a campfire, be sure to invite us! & show us nightfall & snuggling into your sleeping bags. i'll be watching for your next one! have fun & stay safe!
Welcome to the Sierras! I was day-hiking out of Tuolumne Meadows a couple of weeks ago, and I felt so bad as you were headed into that last night. When I was there the store was open but the ice cream freezer and the microwave were both broken, and they barely had any supplies for hikers. And then: "oh no, they're waiting for a shuttle but the shuttles aren't running!" Fortunately it was the YARTS bus, not the shuttle! I'm glad you were able to get down to Ahwahne (the indigenous Awahneechee's name for the valley) for some town food and supplies. :-) And I hope the next section goes smoothly - Sequoia and Kings Canyon are closed, but I guess the PCT is still open?
I've been somewhat interested in hiking that section from Sonora to Tuolumne Meadows, but after seeing this video I think now it is a must do! It was stark beauty the whole way.
Seems like you are catching the Sierra’s before they become problematic with snow snd cold. The rivers you cross should be pretty low so you are hitting it at the right time. Too bad you have to miss the area between Chester and Sonora pass but you can catch that another year. The fires around Tahoe are super bad. So glad to see you ladies back on the trail. I know you will be rocking it. And the desert should be dry but not too horrid. Just windy. Hopefully you can power through so that you can hit mount San jacinto before the big snows start.
Hi from a vlog lurker in New Zealand. I'm so happy for you to be back on the PCT. I first heard of this trail when YT introduced me to Mary Poppins hiking with Hurlgoathiker, so it's also lovely to see Mary Poppins again (I enjoy her blogs too) skipping up the tail with the 3 of you. Great fun, hard work and wonderful scenery.
Yay!!!! You’re back. You’re in my neck of the woods. Glad to see so much water still. Have a permit in Tuolumne Meadows for a few days starting the 29th. Looks like I’ll miss you. You’re not missing much from the grill. Wasn’t too good this season. Store will have lots of goodies.
Absolutely stunning views. Brings a tear to my eyes to see such beauty. Do you ever stand there to take it all in and realize exactly how small you are. Glad your safe and getting this done before snow comes. Be well. 🤓🇨🇦
So good to see you on the trail again. Wasn't Mary Poppins on the A.T. with you too?? It's always nice to see your camp setup and hear what you eat. The bear containers are a lot bigger than I thought. Pesky was sneaky again, putting her stuff in someone else's backpack to carry. This time she lost her peanut butter. It's a coincidence that my granddaughter is back packing Yosemite the same week you are. Can't wait for your next video. Take care, be safe.
I had tortillas with peanut butter, prunes and sriracha sauce. It's going to be amazingly beautiful until you part ways with the Kern River past Kennedy Meadows South.
yay the wander women are back on the PCT, i wish i could do that hike it looks so flat, but i guess it has its hills, you ladies be safe, i hope no more problems with fires. Does Mary Poppins have a yt channel if so could you put in your information box below. Thanks Patti
