If you laminate continuous fiber hemp wool around the wall the shell could become the structure replacing the 2x4 inside the wall. The scientific name of the shopped fiber thickening effect is called a thixotropic agent.

Hope your project is going well. Talk to the Traditional Lime Company in Tullow, Co. Carlow. They supply hemp and batichavre NHL. I've used shuttered hempcrete successfully on a number of cottages and recommend the process.

Hi, would you recommend using the hemp on solid stone internal walls. As in an old irish venacular cottage which has lime mortar render. I want to chip off all the old plaster, point and re do but without using latts or gysum board. Want it to help with insulation and breathability
I am going to build the frame with hemp blocks. It is my inside walls I want to talk about. Instead of 2x4's and drywall to keep the house green what do you recommend? There is no clay on my property. I might have sand. Should a person just build with smaller thinner hemp blocks for the inside walls assuming the company builds them or hire a person to build by filling with the hemp fill?
You mention the hemp lime plaster is NOT suitable for exterior walls. Is there a plaster made with hemp or anything else suitable for exterior application to add insulation and spark defense ?
My hemp house is plastered with lime putty/sand based plasters on the outside. Inside, lime putty is used only as tadelakt in the bathroom, others are earth based plasters.
How to mix if not ready mix? Meaning what is the ingredients? And how much in contrast to each other? As if we baking a cake. Im surprised this is not more talked about. Rhis ahould be numeral. Uno. Lots if air. But dont seem like your getting total benifites if hemp if you simply useing woid chip shape piece. I mean so whats the difference of simply useing chips? 😂
