I watched so much videos for meaning of Valuation and how it will works....but no videos were proper....only this video gives clear picture of Valuation
I have a question. At 10:33, the valuation after discount is 80 lakhs and the Investment using convertible notes is 20 lakhs. So, shouldn't the equity be 25%? But RJ sir said (it's also written on the slide) that the Equity will be 20%. Are we calculating equity on the Pre-discount valuation or the post discount valuation? If we're calculating it on the pre-discount valuation then what was the point of discounting it? Thank you for answering this in advance :))
Can you also provide the documentation and legal details which one should know before making there moves and making aware, better presentation of themselves as a company. Thanks more making real helpful content.
5:06 Seed Investment ≠ Angel Investment Angel Investors are those who has prior experience in startups or they run their own startup. Seed investors are FFF ,HNIs and Angel Investors. Seed funding means the first external funding.
See Angel investor is not a formal investor . An angel investor invests out of his surplus personal funds not from the funds of his company . An angel investor can be a seed investor but all seed investors need not be an angel investor . I myself is an angel investor so I know a little bit about these .
Great content, expecting more from your team In shark there are also business techniques explain like white labeling, kindly make a vedio on it Fan request 🙏

Hey 👋 Jagruk LLA ! I understood almost each & everything discussed in this Fab Vid. But, there's a slight confusion/doubt 🤔🤨 in "Convertible Note" (may be Calculation/Typing Error)... The Example that u discussed @10:32,, Equity would be 25 %...... Bcoz Valuation in The Next Round was 1cr. on which 20% discount was offered... So, for the convertible note, now the valuation is 80 Lakhs & 20 Lakhs were invested on that note.... Deciding/Calculating Equity,, Amount Invested = ₹ 20 Lakhs Valuation = ₹ 80 Lakhs Therefore, Equity would be 20/80 × 100 = 25 % rather than 20 %

Sir, post money valuation mai jo aapana example diya hai to usma mera hisab se 25% equity miligi na ki 20% Plzz reply me if it is correct or make another video for valuation calculations
80 lakh valuation is its pre investment value. AFTER 20 LAKHS ARE INVESTED, THE VALUATION STANDS TO 1CR.SO,20/100 X100 =20%.I HOPE IT IS CLEAR answer given by @Salma Sultana
An entity shall cease to be a startup on completion of 10year from the date of its incorporation / registration or if it's turnover for any previous year exceed 100crores rupess🙏
Last me..jo convertible note hai...80lakh ka valuation me issue hoga...toh 20/80 multiply by 100 toh 25% equity aaya na ..sir apne waha 20% equity likha hai ... correct me if i am wrong...
