One of my biggest regrets is Brett Favre flip flopping in and out of retirement for 4 or 5 years wasting that much of Rogers career forcing him sit on the bench during most of his first year contract. That's 4 or 5 years of wondering if he's going to start all off season. That's 4 or 5 years of him not being able to play and help negotiate for a much larger second contract. And that's 4 or 5 years of career numbers being taken away from him that people in the future will look back and compare him to other players and make him look not as good. I think he may not have been the player he is today if he didn't sit on the bench for awhile on the Packers. While he was there, they adjusted the way he threw the ball so that he COULD throw it deep. Perhaps he wouldn't have been as good if he didn't have time to do that and to observe Favre before starting.

Well, he made it to the playoffs in his first year as the main starter. Then wiped the floor with the cowboys at home when they were undefeated at home this season. I think he has a shot at being a really solid QB, but it's hard to know based on one season.
