Had he not retired, he probably would have that record for most, and by himself. How do you that, while also having the record most scoring titles (alone) as well as the highest PPG AVG ever in the history of the NBA. What he did on the court was God-like.

Yeah but kids rush to the stat sheet to see who's most clutch lol. "This dude had more buzzer beaters than that dude". But being clutch is about taking over the game when it matters, not just the last shot. It's about taking over the 4th quarter, whether with scoring or defense like key steals and blocks. Jordan would usually go hard in the 4th when there was a chance to come back, he wouldn't go passive when his team needed buckets

Yep. Every generation experiences "recency bias". It's only as we (everyone) age that we begin to appreciate the bigger picture, and those who came before. One example - modern Messi fans can never truly appreciate the impact Pele had on the growth of soccer around the world. Sometimes "the greatest" is about more than on the field accomplishments, it can include what a player meant to the sport overall (like Bird, Magic, and MJ too).

Great reaction headbanger! Good to see you're not only doing rap. I've seen both prime Jordan and prime LeBron in person and it's not even close. MJ had the faster twitching muscles, mongoose reflexes and jaguar-like quickness - that why the called him the Black Cat. Jordan also had superior bounce, hang-time, mid-air body control, explosiveness, creativity and footwork. MJ also played with the tenacity that Bron can only daydream of. And we all know which of the two had the mental of a killer in serial. Bron's mindset was cupcake compared to Jordan's psyche of Norman Bates. No bias here since my favorite players are Magic, Shaq and Iverson - in that order.

Great reaction my guy. I can never fault anyone for being a fan of any player. Lebron is a great player with longevity as he'll be going into his 19 season. Because of all the seasons he's played he will most likely have many career total records. My only issue with fans of certain players in general is that they don't bother to do a little research and they stick to their emptions when they think their favorite player is the GOAT. In Lebron's case, his career total records speaks to longevity, but one's career AVERAGES speaks to one's true dominance. The problem with all the GOAT comparisons is that ppl are not taking into consideration that all of MJ's records and championships occurred in a much shorter time. Yes he played with the Wizards, but all of his accolades are from his stint with the BULLS. He was already considered the GOAT for his BULLS Career. During his BULLS career he is credited for playing 13 seasons, but in all actuality, he only played 11 and 1/2 seasons with the BULLS. His second season he had a FOOT injury and only played 18 games which is not even 1/4 of a season. He also only played 17 games the season he returned out of retirement. That too was not even 1/4 of a season. So he really only played 11 full seasons with the BULLS and if you add those 35 total games for those other "Seasons" then he had about another half of season. So compare that MJ went 6 for 6 in the Finals, while playing at an elite level on both sides of the court for mostly FULL 82 Game Seasons. Even if you wanted say he played 13 season with the bulls, he went to the Finals 6 times out of those 13 seasons, and won every time. As great as Scottie was, he never reached the heights of DWADE or AD. MJ never had as many HOFs as Lebron has had on his teams and yet MJ never played a game seven in the Finals. The fact that we are still trying to make the case for Lebron as GOAT is laughable because he is still chasing MJ's Bulls career after already playing 6 more seasons than MJ. If you get six more shots at a championship and still haven't even equaled the same amount of chips, than you are already too late. Even winning 3 chips now, wouldn't make Lebron the GOAT because he'd would have played at least 9 more seasons to do that versus MJ's. Playing more seasons and accumulating more career total stats doesn't make you GOAT. Load Management and saving yourself on the defensive side to play better offense doesn't make you a better player than one that plays ELITE on both ends of the court with no load management.

It's too late for Bron ... you can't let one chip slip through your fingers - when you show up to the table you can't let anybody else eat, you gotta demoralize other legends to the point their only hope is waiting for you to get bored and retire. You gotta be anointed GOAT before you even make a finals, then win six, undefeated, getting MVP every time. You can't fall off as a pro, ever - it's not even fair to aspire to that, or boost your favourite player like that; and that's not a knock on Lebron at all (One Love). People gotta stop it - they set him up for a fall, like he's either over Jordan or he's dogshit, but he's had an epic career in his own right. People 'wanna be like Mike' 'cause most mortals know they can't, and should they even wanna be? Because Mike was kinda a psycho-killer... most people don't have that in them, and that's ok.

Great reaction and appreciate you not being biased in what you're watching. Unfortunately though you didn't react to the best MJ vid; honestly, at least half of these shouldn't be in his top 50. Here's MJ's 2 best highlight vids - please react to them if you can: MJ's "historic Bulls mixtape", and MJ "best rare video ever (voyager)". I'ma answer some of your questions and comment on a few things you said: I'm glad you noticed a couple of things that MJ did that LeBron, Kobe, and no one else actually has ever been able to do: create a ton of double-clutch and ball fake moves off of combining the best hangtime ever with palming the ball - and then keep in mind that he was doing this 25-40 years ago, imagine seeing it back then! MJ's vertical was 48", tied for the best ever (LeBron's is 44"; Kobe's was 38"). Imho MJ's posters are much more impressive than LeBron's, because MJ was 2.5" shorter and 50-60 lbs lighter, and he was often beating more than one defender and he's dunking on 6'11" to 7'1" centers, who could camp out in the paint all day back then. MJ averaged 5.3 ast/gm, which isn't just good for a shooting guard; it's the 3rd highest ever among 2-guards (who haven't spent a full season or more at point), barely behind Pistol Pete and Drexler. Kobe wasn't quite as good, at 4.7 ast/gm. MJ's final shot wasn't even a nudge: the reverse angle clearly shows that MJ's hand barely but any force at all into Russell. And the definitive evidence is that no one complained after that play - not Russell, his teammates, their coaches, or their fans. In such an important moment, if any of them at all thought that it was a pushoff, they definitely would've let the refs know about it. MJ's "flu game" stats: 38 pts, 7 reb, 5 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk, 3 to in 44 minutes, on 48.1% FG, 40.0% 3s, 83.3% FT, which is insane given his condition and the pressure he was under. This was the pivotal game 5, tied 2-2, on the road. And he didn't get much help from his teammates: only 2 others scored in double-digits: Longley with 12 and Pippen with 17, BUT Pippen sucked with 5/17 (29.4%) FG shooting. The Bulls needed everything MJ had in order to win by 2. They then closed it out in game 6 at home with MJ scoring 39. Yes, "The Shot" MJ hit at Cleveland was to win their 1st round playoff series vs the 3rd seeded Cavs by 1. Can't get much more clutch than a win-or-lose buzzer beater series deciding shot. I understand the younger generation going by what they see today but what is considered is that LBJ wants to play the 1and 2 when he's the size of a PF. MJ was a 6'6" going on the heads of centers who were legit 7 footers in a league where fouls were rarely called. Most centers now are 6'10" with a few exceptions, and fouls are called if you look at someone too long.

Here’s what keep Lebron out of the Goat running… 1) Dude has never been humble… He’s disingenuous at best. 2) Today’s game just isn’t physical at all. The refs whistles get more contact than the players. 3) Jordan played every man on the court on both ends when necessary. Without being asked or coached. 4) Jordan lived for the last shot. Never ran from it or passed. Just shot it. 5) Jordan never went city to city team recruiting or ring chasing… 6) Lebron did the unforgivable when he walked off the court into the locker room while the game was still in process, leaving his teammates on the floor for with the loss that he had everything to do with…. He’s never been a leader. 7) Who had a better all around post, beyond the arc, left right left hand shot, fade away, crossover, either side of the basket layup, three point, etc…. 8) To be truthful, Rodman would straight up cut Lebron’s stats by 1/3 by himself. Side note: Rodman is the next player you should react to. The only player in the Hall of Fame with a less than 20 ppg average.

Awesome post. Here's some evidence from the present that backs up #2: Team USA had a bunch of close calls and losses leading up their Olympics gold recently, and everybody on the team performed below expectations except for KD, Tatum, and Holiday, and one big reason for it was international rules don't give a lot of touch foul calls that the US stars were expecting. So that sort of mimics what MJ went through back in the day (although it was even rougher for him back then).

You're a hater. Fun fact...Michael Jordan needs Scottie Pippen's help. He can't make it through the second round of the playoffs on his own. He is a lucky boy. He was always helped in his basketball career, like a baby. Look at him messing up everything in Washington.
@darchon5
@darchon5 3 года назад
@@hankyang2182 You're calling others haters yet you call MJ a "baby" and also conflate MJ's playing vs Gm career in Washington, yeah ok. Is that the best you got? Here's the facts: First, MJ in Washington was the most productive 39-40 yr old player in NBA history. Second, EVERYONE needs some help to win a title, period. Third, at least MJ made the playoffs every single year of his career until he was 38-40 in Washington. And that's with zero all-star teammates ever except for Pippen in 6 of their 10 years playing together. LeBron didn't even make it to the playoffs 3 times! Fourth, you really gonna talk about MJ losing in the 1st round 3 times with ZERO context? Here's the context: - It was during his 1st 3 seasons on one of the worst teams, with a different head coach each year, yet they still made the playoffs each year. And in the playoffs during these 3 years before Pippen or Grant got there, he faced: - A 59-win Bucks team with: the coach of the year that season, 2 all-stars, 2 all-defensive 1st teamers - and 2 were future Hall of Famers (1 player, 1 coach). Yet MJ as a rookie still dropped 29.3 pts, 5.8 reb, 8.5 ast, 2.8 stl, 1.0 blk per game on them. - 67 & 59-win Celtics dynasty teams with 5 future Hall of Famers, who won a title and then lost in the finals to the Showtime Lakers. Yet MJ still dropped: 43.7 pts, 6.3 reb, 5.7 ast, 2.3 stl, 1.3 blk on them after missing almost the entire reg season, and then the next year it was 35.7 pts, 7.0 reb, 6.0 ast, 2.0 stl, 2.3 blk. So how much more was MJ supposed to do by himself?? He did everything he could and more.

Nor trying to leave too many comments but when people say Lebron can’t pass Jordan, it’s because in order to catch him, he would have to have accomplished these things in the first 13 seasons of his career, because Jordan only played 13 seasons when you consider retirement and injuries. 10 scoring titles 9 all defensive teams 6 first defensive teams MVP and Defensive player of the year in the same season 10 triple doubles in 11 games Perfect the midrange and post game Be dominant on both sides in his late 30s. Get 2 3-peats. remember, all in 13 seasons. Lebron hasn’t come close to that in 19 seasons. It’s too late bruh. And I’m not hating on lebron, he’s a great player. But there is nobody that perfected the game of basketball the way that MJ did. And that’s not a knock on anyone else.

There's a video of Jordan gripping and picking up a pumpkin like that. Bron got a lot of bodies, but a lot of Jordan's bodies were 4's and 5's because in that era, bigs were still in heavy use, and played from the paint and block, so they were always there to clog the paint. #33 on Charlotte, that was Mourning. I think it might be a bit in Bron's favor for pure vert because he's taller, but Jordan could hang in the air like no one else. The funny thing, is that a lot of players with lethal mid-range games say they studied Jordan, and how he was able to get that shot off at will. Kobe, Wade, Kawhi, Cp3. Dude turned Starks, Oakley and Ewing into a highlight all on the same play. Man had food poisoning, and still played 44 minutes, dropped 38 points, and also had 5 assists and 3 steals.

Michael’s form, athleticism, game sense, clutch gene, ability to make others around him great, his will and competitiveness will never be matched. Only almost duplicated (Kobe). LeBron is great. Kobe is great. I wanna be like Mike.

Dude Jordan has a 48inch vertical, he was 6"6'. Wilt Chamberlin has a 52-inch vertical leap and he is 7"1'

Wilt doesn't have no 52" vert. he said himself in his prime he had a 46-48" vert. He was never measured though. MJ was measured at the 84 olympics. He is tied with darrell griffith AKA dr Dunkenstien who was a player on the Jazz in the 80's with the highest vert. Also Jordan was measured also at the 84 olympics as 6'4" 3/4 He is a quarter of an inch short of 6'5". NBA players lie about there height. Like charles barkley is supposedly a 6'7" or 6'8" he admits in his book he is 6'4" and any pic when he stands next to MJ thjey are both the same height.

@@danreed5171 That is all well and good, even though I'm sure jordan could do that as he has had his head above the rim on many dunks I have seen, but bottom line Wilt said he MIGHT have been 46-48" vert, and you guys are all it was over 50". The official stat is 48" that is a tie between MJ and Darrell griffith.

In their prime. It's always gonna be Jordan. First off Jordan showed loyalty to the Bulls and with Phil Jackson built the team that will without a doubt be remembered as the greatest team in NBA history. LeBron is definitely great, but he's just too cocky and has no loyalty to any team he switches to. A GOAT sticks with his crew and builds his team up as an extension of himself.

Jordan is and always will be the goat. It was Magic, Bird, and then Jordan that saved the league. Back then players stayed loyal to teams and not tried to make super teams. That's why in his area ,each team had 1-3 all stars. Also because of them making g NBA so popular then salaries grew, endorsement deals skyrocketed, and viewers or fans grew. Without this then all these players now would not get 10-30 million a year on the contract alone and another 100 million over two years like Lamellow Ball did with Puma. Jordan had no social media and grew to be the most popular and known athlete in the world along with the boxer Alli. So its not just he won 6 of 6 championships, or averaged30 a game and held many titles in the dunk contest, scoring, all defensive team , all league first team, all all star games, MVP of League and do also many times, and so much more. But it includes how he helped the.league grow, and helped.players get more money, not that I think k anyone needs 10 million a season to play a kids game. And the argument that the owners would just get the rest if the players got a smaller pay is not seeing the full picture. Owners as in any business assume all the risk, maintain all facilities, equipment and other jobs. And second then lower the price.of.tickets so a family can attend a game as.most can't afford it. Or get to see one game in their entire life. Lower sneaker prices, jerseys, etc... And it would be even with owners and players. Another issue is most get rich and then lose it all and go broke, so they need to invest in themselves and be business men. Also with just one player, LeBron the social justice warrior and La China as he backed China after they had horrible humanitarian issues.recently. But he sold out to get money from China, or why in his mansion and gated community with private security does he say online (look it up) that he as a black man feels unsafe coming g out his door and then tweeted a white hero cop who saved a girl from getting stabbed would get his too. He is not a smart guy, just a great athlete and he and the rest of the NBA should stay out of politics. So when BLM came and reached the NBA bubble and they took a knees for the game and didn't play he had no.regard for the lowest paid players who needed that money and they were black?.makes no sense if its BLM then why did you do nothing, and there were 2 guys, 1 on each side who had a small contract and never got paid because of it. All sports should stay out of politics as it will divide you fan base and we see this as the last. Finals had the lowest views in history and that's with vivid and everyone at home could of watched the game on tv. And LeBron named himself the goat after his Cleveland trophy, and that's insecurities for sure. Only your peers telling you your the goat matters. MJ never said it and never wanted that at he humbly said their was to many greats he never played and its unfair to them. I could go on and on. MJ is the Goat! Other goat runner ups.are.Magic, Bird, Coby for sure, Gervin, Baylor, Kareem, Wilt, Russel, and more, then LeBron is in top 50, he never wants the last shot if he can help it. Jordan would and wanted to win at all costs..he is greatness forever!

The thing about Jordan too is that he had an amazing post game, and if we being honest, between the two (Jordan and Lebron), Jordan has the better one. Now obviously, Lebron is the the more impressive physical specimen, no question. So on paper, you'd think he'd be better in the post. The thing is, and you as a Lebron fan already know this, Lebron is really more of a perimeter slasher. He likes to handle the ball on the outside and then make his decisions there, whether to shoot, pass, drive, or drive and kick. But he doesn't "live" in the post that much. Not saying he can't, he definitely can, and he's definitely still a good post player. But that's not his natural habitat. Partly because of the era Jordan lived in, where bigs dominated and the 3 ball wasn't as much of a thing, Jordan had to live down low a lot more than Lebron does, so if you watch his inside post game, back to the basket, backing down power forwards and centers that are like half a foot taller than him, that's really impressive. That's also partly why he was so good at creating impossible looking hangtime shots, because he had to learn how to do that, shooting AROUND big men, around their arms hanging in the air trying to block their shots. Lebron can usually just train barrel through, so that's one part of the game he never really had to learn.

As a 21 year old I get that you didn't see Mike well I've seen them both on no planet is James better then MJ. And quite frankly Mike would have ZERO problems going up against James just like Kobe didn't. Kobe and MJ were the same size and nearly the same player and Kobe had no issues.

As a basketball fan and a teenager in the 90’s I was always a Jordan fan even living in Florida. I’ve been to many games as a fan and remember seeing LeBron as a rookie battle T-Mac live. I got to watch Mike play only once live when he was with the Wizards and what I can say about that experience is this. I’ve still to this day never watched a game live the way I watched that game. All the other games I watched and can recall big plays and highlights, for me there was no other players or teams on the court that day. I was only seeing Michael Jordan, it is so crazy. The way he played, his reputation, the show he gave you was amazing. Everything from what shoes is Mike going to wear tonight to what he did was amazing, it literally was the most amazing game or player I’ve ever seen. Jordan was mentally the most dominating player ever, lebron is great as well, but he lacks Michael’s killer instinct his mental toughness.

Great reaction; Bron does not have the level of athleticism as MJ, Bron is fast and can jump but he cant move like MJ, no one can. I don’t know why yall always give Bron things he don’t even have like yall just need to put up there for something. Here are some things MJ had over Bron; MJ had a 48” vert, finished at the basket with moves or dunks, wasn’t scared to take the last shot, wasn’t scared to go to the free throw line with the game on the line, was the best dunker, had the best footwork, had better handles, better technique and shotting form, hangtime, better defender, creative shots and dunks. Not sure how Bron can catch him when you just laid out reasons why he will never catch, Bron is not all of the sudden going to be more creative with shots and be more entertaining to watch, his game is boring nothing beautiful. He can hold more stat records but that doesn’t make you the greatest.

you witness The G.O.A.T. of basketball on these amazing clips~ but I’m so happy I lived through MJ’s greatness from ‘92 to ‘98 during his second coming. My family is from New York so we were enemies of Chicago in Basketball and Baseball but nobody couldn’t deny The Insanely Talented Michael Jordan. I was only 10 yrs old when I started watching NBA games with my older cousins and stepdad and we were in pure awe 🫢

I'd give the edge to Jordan. People were so much more physical defensively back then. By comparison these days it's almost like by NBA rules the defense has to let you just go right by them. Lebron would have probably gotten beat down by the Pistons lol.

Love LBJ, but he doesn't use his personal skill to kill the opposition. Only Jordan and Kobe did and kobe learned it from Jordan. Killer instinct! If LBJ did it he would be more appreciated.

Check out the year when they move jordan to point guard and he average a triple double across 10 games i believe. In that stretch he was getting 10 or 11 assists per game.
