Incredible long range slingshot shooting! 210 foot shot with a slingshot! The longest and possibly the hardest shot I have done yet, from 70 yards or 210 feet, in honor of my 100th video on this channel! This one has been in the making for a while and is one of my favorite shots, and videos that I have done thus far. I had the balloon setup in my catchbox nice and tight in there as I was worried about it moving out of the way and not popping (which thankfully wasn't an issue). I also blew it up pretty much to it's max, so that it would pop easier, and so that it would make a loud enough bang to be heard from where I was shooting. I used a big plywood board that I found as a backstop so I could hear when my shots started to get close. I believe that was vital to my success, and I probably could not have done it without it. I had so much fun doing this, it was a pretty tough challenge (especially with the wind), but it was a blast, and I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. For me it kind of takes away from the fun a little bit as you don't get as much of an instinctive feel. I think sights are more at home on guns and bows (although I prefer instinctive archery). But that's purely my opinion. Sighted slingshots can be really cool :).

I have heard about that as well and wanted to try it. Never did though, just got white marbles instead. Works pretty good.

Dang, I can't remember, I think probably just an estimated distance under the bottom fork. That's why this stuff gets so hard. A little closer and you can get away with using the bottom fork as a reference which is a lot easier.

70 yards... 😲 When I was kid I hit maximum around 55 meters with a lota calculations. It was a Rabbit and I did not have enough money to arrange sucha powerful Sling Shot. I used to hit with curved shots as well. But, I always used up right forward hand with maximum pul and relaxation like a marksman.

Thank you! Usually I use 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch by 8 - 9 inches in .03 latex. For this video I was given these bands by rayshot. I believe they are still a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch taper, but they are only like 6 - 7 inches long and are made with .04 latex.

SharpshooterJD There are always solutions! :) Use a giant balloon and shoot .25 with super tapered bands and a light pouch! It would be entertaining!

Very good shot when you did hit it, but people don't want to see "misses". Next time edit out the missed shots and just say in your video that it took X number of shots if you want to be up front with your viewers.

Yeah, a rock sling is very difficult to use, that's why the story of David and Goliath is so incredible :). Now a days with modern elastics they are much more accurate and easy to use, but still weaker than their older brother the sling.

yeah man I really agree any thing is possible only believe it to be so any thing possible is in the eyes of imagination. someone did it as my grand father used to tell me and a quote from Albert Einstein imagination is more important then knowledge and I say to the wards of I can't that's garbage be inspired in all you do and believe that it's possible and for I can't well that's a lazzy way out required no effort at to think it threw after all someone imagined it. some one thought it threw the history of man is full of stuff like this and how an idea stands taller then any mountain be one with your brain be one with God who gave you the power to think

Thanks man! As I have said before, the distances are much farther than they appear in the video. There was virtually no danger of the ammo traveling that far. But with that said I don't plan on repeating this in a field this small in the future.
