I've got to tell this story about frog brains. Back in the day, I was fortunate to take high school biology where we had real animals to dissect, clams, crawdads/crayfish, and extra-large bull frogs. The frogs had blue and red dye in the veins and arteries so you could trace the circulatory system. The brain was always pink because of the dyeing process. Our biology teacher was explaining the procedure for using a scalpel to scrape the thin strip of scull away, from between the eyes, so the brain could be removed intact. His comment as he was demonstrating was, "don't slip, or else you'll have pink pudding". You guys slipped and pink pudding! Thank you for another great content video.

I've been watching this channel since I was in elementary school now Im married with two kids, love that you are still making the vids and never sold out like the rest of the gun channels

My suggestion to remedy the overpenetration in the gel block is to use a lead core with brass petals, that way the powder charge can be kept the same, while also increasing the soft tissue performance with the added weight and deformation

The lead plate has become as necessary as gel.

I love the way you guys are humble and old school. I remember watching your videos 10 years ago, and back then before my best friend passed away, the two of us would do our own little experiments. We would save up money for anything considered a "special" target and savoir the moments leading up to where we shot them. I gotta get my buddy (He's another ballistic machinist enthusiast) introduced to your channel & get him to send you these shotgun slug/sabot round/projectiles he's been working on that are something completely different of any design I've ever seen and not quite sure what to call them & neither does he, but what i can tell you about these is he created some sort a engineered part manufactured in a way that has something to do with increasing the velocity through a design that utilizes & maximumizes the gas expansioning, it's hard to describe its physical characteristics, but he developed and incorporated this toroidal concept design. Like I mentioned before he hasn't named them yet and only just recently submitted his design patent. I've only seen a couple of these things fired and they are quite interestingly impressive on new levels never seen before when it comes to creating a new ballistic varient. He's a fairly busy guy, but I'm confident enough that I think I can get him to get in touch with you guys about his design and send you half a dozen to check out and possibly showcase them for critique on a episode. He used to work for a munitions company and now has decided to strike out on his own this year. I just want him to succeed as a friend and also because I've invested also. So it shouldn't take long to get him in touch with you guys. Thank you for your channel & contents and as always, look forward to each one.

In 2018 I had the unfortunate luck of being shot. Miraculously they were able to find the bullet that shot me in a wall two rooms over in a stud. I wear it around my neck every single day of my life to remind me what could have been. That bullet is much prettier than mine.

That was phenomenal and I cannot think of a better use for companies catalogs.

I love that you were using ULINE catalogs for targets. I ordered some cardboard boxes from ULINE back in 2009 (a ONE TIME ORDER) and now they send me those huge phone-book-sized catalogs every six months. Oh well....target practice time!!!! :)

Love the way the lead plate is soft enough to deform from the impact but rigid enough to preserve the patterns made by the impact, everything leaves a unique mark on the lead.
