sieve5 Regen braking would be my bet, he just needs to top off the battery. Probably has about 80-60% in the battery after the race so it charges pretty quick
there lipo cells...charge at 1-2c...not actually fast at all, you just need a beefy charger and PSU. lipos are good for 1-5C charge on average some do 15C. a 1C charge is 1 hour so a 1Ah battery would charge at 1A and an 100ah battery would take 1 hour but at 100A (size of battery has no effect on C rates u just need the power to charge them) higher voltages take more wattage so a high voltage high Ah pack he's properly charging at multiple KilloWatts....hence the need for three phase power input. Iv been using these battery's years in the RC hobby...lipos are a less stable version of what's inside ur phone and laptop but on steroids as handle a WAY higher discharge spec. a Lion 18650 is good for a few Amps (high drains IMR a bit more) Lipos are good for 100C+ discharge !! Sky's the limit...but less stable, heavier, less energy dense.

Damn. I thought my 38kw motor hubs was fast. But that’s a beast. 210kw belt system with 1200a setup is nuts! I only running on 260a. Thinking of pushing it to 300a. I’m only running 72v on 120ah battery setup.
Yeaahhh definitely push to 300A.... 120Ah battery should be able to handle for bursts like 5-10 seconds... just don’t hold it continuously 300A on a highway hahahaha
BrunoPOWEEER with the math I should be able to do 308a. But yeah I was thinking continual acceleration could damage the motor and cause the controller to shut off. I’ve had that happen before on older builds. I have smaller build setups with 20kw and 16kw motor hub with 2x42ah batteries and 3x30ah battery setups. Bikes my friends can now join me on lol. Go Electric. It’s truly the future. I want to build a belt driven setup next. Also my bike has 3 gear modes. I don’t run it on full speed mode all the time.

Yeaaahh this is the exact question I had in my mind for many years since I met Ripperton and a few other guys they race together... there is another bike here in Australia that is powered with a 700 volts electric car drivetrain... stupidly fast, once, the petrol riders accepted to have the electric motorcycle starting from the last position and run for a few laps during s proper race and the 700v bike launched from the last position to 3rd before the first corner hahahaha it didn’t make to the first but it was just a few laps... I can’t find the video here but was hilarious
Their technology isn't advanced enough considering reliability and they would have to start a new production line. In the end it's pretty expensive too for the buyer and many driver just don't like the idea so not that many would buy one. That's why they don't build electric super bikes.

Really amazing machine the one thing I think I would miss terribly is the shifting even though it's a place errors can happen plus the added weight it contributes so much to the riding experience and it can set your skills apart and give you a chance to win if your shifting skills are more honed, I hope they bring in more electric vehicles with gears

Weight: this racing Electric R1 with that motor and massive battery pack is about 135kg total vs 199kg original Petrol R1... ohhh yeaaahhh!!!!

If you understood how electric motors work it's not impressive that he can keep up and beat them. What is impressive is the battery life he getting at the output needed to move him and the frame. Then again I'm not sure what the total weight is. I think the video said 210kw which translates to 285 mechanical hp and that isn't taking torque into account. With instant torque that he can fine tune to his needs and that peak hp he can absolutely demolish everything.
M773 he is on a track with 1000cc bikes in the straights he seems to be over taking them to me where you getting your view from the bike has 210 bhp so yes it probably is faster no power band torque from 0 mph
