You have to come up with a new wheel design. This the biggest hold back right now. Everything is evolving, getting more and more precise and efficient but the wheels, no changes. It needs to happen!
All you have to look at is high performance car tires and duplicate the same miniature version. Low profile tire, maybe air involved or maybe not? Maybe a real aluminum rim? These little things need serious balancing though, millimeters matters maybe smaller
Entertaining and informative as usual. I used to ask my kids why they watched other people do things on RU-vid. I really have no intention on going 200Mph. But love RC and love watching the speed run community. We all appreciate the hard work you do. As always looking forward to the next one.
Hey Raz, i've heard from chris rosser that copper actually isn't the best conductor, silver would have lower resistance. You can't use straight silver because they aren't as good for conducting heat, so some drone motors use copper plated winding as a good middle ground. Could you try them with your connector to see if it would help the max Amp capabilities? Next bottleneck would be the solder, could it be possible to get a version of the plug with threads so you could bolt a sufficient crimp connector? Keep up the good work, cheers!
RAZ the man with all the Best products Keep up the amazing work man! I want the servo now but ill wait until you release it I guess 1/5 scale servo..I love promodeler so I hope it's good Raz!! Great run
Wow, your dedication to making a superior product is amazing! Your passion is commendable! No company out there cares about quality as much as you do, keep it up!
The Perfect Pass QS8 V2s are definitely superior to the other brands. They are tight as can be and they dont wear out and become loose like some of the other brands. I appreciate you're quality parts.
Check out some welding cable charts for various amps and wire gauges. Welding cable is different from battery cable. Very fine wires and more flexible. Car battery cables are few large strands and stiff.
Wicked vid raz love it congrats on the speed cant wait for the new products. as for the front splitters you could try a bolt on aluminium skid that molds to the shape of the carbonfiber splitters edge we have made them for mine and a buddies cars and works great no splinters and you just swap it out once its worn out
Not sure if it's possible, but as far as making a super sensitive gyro, you may want to consider an option where 2 gyros are connected and work together. One would sit in the front, the other would be in the back and correct the servo based on the combined data.
If carbon splitter or other carbon parts get splintered just run a file over the splinters then coat in super glue and no more splinters. Will also keep it from delaminating.
Howdy from Georgia Raz. Love your videos. Very enjoyable to watch. I was wondering if you have any plans to start production on any Perfect Pass parts for the Arrma 1/8 scale cars like the Vandetta and Infraction Mega? Thank you.
Ive bin a big nut on batterys and wow them smc are amazingly awesome to hold that voltage at the amp draw it had. Most drop below 26v. ❤it man. Keep pushing the bar like always.❤
Keep have fun and make awsome parts. Like what you doing man 😊 2 questions from me: is the Arrma diff case by you will eliminate the chassis kickup problem on front diff which killing front shafts? And can you make a monster servo with an Xmaxx compatible body to eliminate adaptors? It also the same design fits the Maxx too.
from that log raz 18kw output on a twin motor seems a lot 17kw in a single is seeing mid 180. i understand power out vs drag works on an exponential scale and physically doing 200mph in a reasonable distance needs more acceleration, but over mid 180 but over double the power out for 25mph. i would be interested in the power out from your 196 single.
SMC batteries are awesome. When i was a kid i switch to their Nimh packs in my traxxas stampede and it was a game changer. Now i have some of their lipos they are nice too.
Raz i love video and content it has me excited to try speed run cars. I have the v1 limitless and I know you said your making a new chassis will it be about to fit the V1 limitless body or V2. Keep up the good work you are amazing person and love your vids.
Sorry I posted my question on the wrong video. I watch all ur vids but how do you pull 610 amps with a 4080 on 8s? Do those motors pull more than they are rated for or is that a normal thing for them to pull that many amps?
Aerospace grade wire? At one time I bought aircraft generator cable for a full size Ford Mustang. Really dropped the resistance and was far more tolerant to heat. Lived in Phoenix Arizona at the time. Certain parts of the electrical system became far more reliable.
Absolutely awesome mate! Your dedication and hard work is paying off! Also great to hear pp is available here in Australia now! Quick question how fast is the 1/5 servo?
I’ve just bought a limitless v2 this week. Can’t wait for you to open the shop as I live in the uk but have no idea where and how to order parts for the car. Do you sell carbon parts to fit around the stock body also? 100% want the springs you designed and the drive shafts.
You should have some sort of remote cut of the battery wires, in case you suspect the car is on fire and/or shorted. that may help you save more of your equipment
Wonder how big of a Gyro an rc boat would have to use to keep the sponsons from dancing from left to right. Would speed & weight of that gyro play a big part. Where could I purchase a gyro to experiment with. Thanks for your amazing videos & technology break downs.
Have you thought about a smaller battery connector? I know it's not very speedrunny but for general use in RC, I find QS8 a bit big (unless you run 8S).
you can try EC8 those are smaller than QS8S but it is 200amp rated(enough for genral use/ bash use, I use EC8 on my kraton 8s with hobbywing max5 800kv)
Look at FPV race quad software like betaflight, and the hardware all the manufactuers use for your gyro....the performance of my quads is unreal with super low latency, all the same control you're looking for....maybe you already have, regardless i think FPV has gotta have some of the most responsive and powerful rc crafts around
An aluminum or titanium wheel with no deflection will be best. Whether solid rubber or foam should work. Make one for 1/8 scale 17mm and sell me a set. I need some myself lol
Question. You always seem to say the cars are hot at the end of the run and every so often they burst into flames once they sit still on the other end of the runway. Would it be possible to build a vent that lets air flow over electronics during the run without causing too much drag? If not, could it be behind some sort of flap that can be opened after you let off the throttle to avoid drag on the run and still use the speed to cool things slightly? Not sure how it would be done without additional weight, and certainly no idea if the weight would be worth it or not, but thought it was worth asking about.
Fk that don’t give no one any discounts it’s you putting your hard work an money into this. You building these awesome parts is the discounts keep your head up brother awesome videos
Any chance of a driveshaft for my cheapie MJX Hyper Go 14302? Mine seems to be bent and vibrates badly on 3S batteries. So a carbon fiber driveshaft for a $150 usd car?😁😎😍
