A true human and true Eritrean story that can only be retold by a person who deeply internalized and cherished his Kerenite childhood times and relives it even after a long absence from the lovely city of Keren with its colorful neighborhoods. Good job brother Saleh. As usual your stories give your followers a breeze of hope..that one day we may return and roam on these neighborhoods again and reminisce. I am not Kerenite but I understand that similar stories can be told about other neighborhoods in Eritrea. But the ability to present it in the kind of style you do may be unmatchable. Your unique presentation is highly admired. Please don't forget to invite me to these neighborhoods when Allah willing ህግደፍ becomes ነበረያ ነበረ,sooner.

Aboy Iyasu had a house behind the enda kensha elementary school in bloko asmera, keren. In the 80s I went to elementary school with the grandkids of Aboy Iyasu. I remember one name: Huruy. A tall black boy who resembles his grandfather- Aboy Iyasu.

Dear Saleh, You are an amazing individual with character. You have shown us your typical Eritrean character and you did your part by reflecting your human values. I am glad you try to do a genuine and our unforgettable childhood experience we had before Independence. I voted for independence from USA and had planned within 6 to 8 years to go back home for good. Unfortunately the current Evil government showed their characters of destruction on Eritrea started war - Badme War and the rest is history. My dream and millions of Eritreans shattered because the Evil and Criminals HEGDEF what you mentioned your childhood story and every Eritrean story. It shoud have been recorded for history- it is a genuine summary story. I support you whatever you want to do. You are the right person to do such thing. Saleh, you touched the nerve.. I met Abdulwasie in Baghdad and was my classmate at college there. May Allah bless his soul he was one of the few people who left his trace; most humorous, wit full, clean heart and kind person There was few Eritrean females at the college. only two to be exact.one was uglier and crossed eyed but friendly and the other was acceptable but with attitude. Abdulwasie of his generosity was helping them as they were sophomore. I joked with him, you got in love. He responded, I am torn in between my heart tell me to love the one with attitude, but the ugly is responsive. Through out the 4 years he was thinking of how to go back to Sudan with out taking a plane.we planned a lot but at last he made up his mind to close his eyes through out the journey. He made it. May Allah reward him Jenna and may give his family the comfort of understanding and peace.
