Watching your videos actually helped me decide on purchasing my B2601. Had the tractor for over a year now and absolutely love it! Always look forward to your video posts to see what tips and projects I can do. Keep 'em coming!
Good evening Mark! Happy you are enjoying it. I love this little tractor a lot. Great for my 4 acres here. Thanks for watching and for the kind comment. All the best!
B2601 owner here your channel was a huge factor in buying decision March 2019 :) 48.6 hours on machine atm I really like your tip on stocking extra set of filters :)
Hi GP! I am enjoying my new tractor, the B2601. Because I religiously follow your channel I already knew about some of these mods The ones I like the best are the carry-all and the side step. I got my carry-all frame from Tractor Supply Company here in MN. I think it was about $140. I had no idea about the step until you told me about it. But, you are right, I couldn't put it on until the belly mower came off. But it is in place now! It is a great addition. I have a Dealer installed roof on my B 2601 which is attached to the ROPS. Because of the roof, which can't be all loose when it is attached, they installed a bolt in the same nut that you installed your bolt to keep everything tight. I will be very interested in hearing about how the tire chains work for you this winter, which is not far off! Great video, thanks!
Good afternoon Michael! Good stuff! I like your roof too. I'll bet that helps to keep you cool in the summer and dry in the winter. I'm looking forward to trying out the chains - stay tuned! LOL. Thanks again and happy to hear you are enjoying the new tractor. Cheers!
I really enjoy each video you put out. Not only are they informative but entertaining but everytime I watch I think of Guy your neighbor. Please tell him we are thinking of him and for him to get well soon.
Good morning and thanks very kindly Rick. he is getting better but it is a slow one for sure. He is up and about a little more now but not much. I will pass along your kind wishes Rick. Thanks again and have a great week!
That's funny, I bought my Kubota brand steering wheel knob at the dealer the day I ordered my B3350HSDC. I love it. It was all I had for the month I waited for my tractor to be made. When I installed the knob I didn't realize that it didn't matter where it went on the wheel since the hydrostatic steering really has no center. Sometimes the knob is on top and other times it's on the bottom or to one of the sides with the front wheels straight. Thanks for the great content! Cheers!
LOL! That is funny. I had the same thing happen to me. Except I thought the steering was broken and called in for warranty service. They explained to me it wasn't broken and how it worked. A little embarrassing at the time but we go a good laugh from it. Thanks for watching and for the great comment this morning! Cheers!
A lot of great tips for any tractor owner! Thanks GP! I wish this video was a around when I bought my tractor! lol Hey! Thank you for your very kind words! You don't know how much I appreciate that!! Thanks again my friend!!
I purchased a steering wheel knob for my 2301 earlier this year after watching your videos GP, I love it! Couldn't believe I had been operating tractors for over 20 years without one.
LOL. So funny Fred! I had so many subscribers suggesting I get one for a long time and I didn't think it was of much value till I saw it on sale at the store and figured I would try it. Same as you, I cannot believe I didn't put it on right away. Thanks and enjoy the rest of the week!
This video is great. Newbie or long time viewer, Taking the time to review really helped me to think about what I still need to do for my tractor. Thanks.
As for the bolt in the ROPS mine was a standard thread 3/8 x 18. I couldn't believe it was an SAE so I ran a M9 x 1.25 tap in it first but I couldn't find that bolt. The 3/8 x 18 works great. I used a Canadian company Bro-Tek for wheel spacers. I put 3" on the back and 1.5" on the front along with Rim Guard in the rear tires, it can handle 30 degree grades with no problem.
I have a Quick Hitch on my B2620 rear, I never knew how to mount the top hook until I saw your video, now I need to redo my set up. Thanks! But I think my two rear attachments are not quick hitch compatible, I have to take the hook off and mount it with the opening facing towards the tractor, like a C not a U..
We are going out Wednesday to look at B series tractors. Well ok really to get oil and filters, but hey, while we are there no harm in looking. great video GP.
Another great video GP . . . I like the grill safety screen, but I had to remove my grill to install my 3rd function valve. It came with a universal bulkhead mount that did not clear the grill on the B2650 with cab. Keep up the great work Sir . . .
Fantastic Gordy! This video sums up why I watch your channel (and will continue). How about some love for us bx owners? Great job and give my best to Guy! Cheers
LOL. Thanks so much Tom! I am happy you enjoy and I certainly enjoy talking with you. I wish I knew more about the BX but perhaps soon. My older brother just bought one for his property. Looking forward to seeing it soon. Cheers and all the best!
Hi GP, I just inherited a 10 year old Kubota B3200 with a LA504 loader and belly mower. My dad passed recently so I been sorting it all out. But it's a nice tractor.
Hey MNP. I am sincerely sorry to hear about your pops. This has to be a very tough time for you and for your family. For what it is worth, from me to you, remember all the good things, and as my gramma used to say to me, be thankful for all the time and experiences you had together, not the future. Life is a gift and perhaps focus on all the wonderful time you had while he was here. I will keep you in my thoughts and hang in there as best you can. Cheers and all the best MNP.
@@GPOutdoors Thanks for the kind words GP and glad to see you and Guy doing well. Yep it's what I focus on. Well now I have a B3200 with 200 hours of grass mowing. So' I'm gonna turn it into a tree tractor with grapple/3rd function and a PTO driven wood chipper and a sawhaul. Was thinking of just trading it for a L3901, but this tractor runs pretty good and no Tier 4.
Gord, another excellent video! I'm sure other subscribers, like me, would like to know a little more about you. You are a very interesting guy. Not prying into your personal life, of course, but just a little bio of your background, how you came by your "cabin" etc. would be interesting.
Thanks so much Paul ! An interesting idea - I'll give it some thought although I am not sure it would be a very interesting video for folks. LOL. I do appreciate your kindness though. I appreciate the interest. I will perhaps try to include it into a future video. Thanks again Paul and all the best!
Rainy days were some of my favorite days as a kid. Those were days we spent repairing equipment by opening the double doors on the blacksmith shop and back in whatever piece of equipment needed repair. A nice list of suggestions GP, for just about any tractor owner. A very good video sir, but we are all missing Guy and his suggestions too !! Non sequitur question: Are your solar panels connected to a battery storage system? You have the right to refrain from answering....LOL.
LOL. Good morning T! Yes, missing Guy as well. Yes, it is a full off-grid system. No utility connection here. The utility power goes out so often up here I am not sure it would be of any help. I did a video (#8) on the system way back, if you are interested. Keep smiling!
@@GPOutdoors Great !! I'll go back and have a looksee. I think it was around your 110-120 mark (??) I subscribed and though I did go backwards and bounce around sporadically I have not seen them all. My bad )-: Thanks for the tip the vid's location. I'm now recalling possibly a comment during the generator servicing videos about the lack of utility supplied power. Boy it sure is hell getting old. (-:
Thanks so much Evan! They are great folks to deal with from day one. Quick parts delivery every single time and always willing to answer all my questions. Thanks again and have a great week!
Hey I just stumbled upon your channel.....I had a 2012 BX2660 and recently up graded to a '16 B3350..I have done a few mods you mentioned and my ROPS had those bolts installed on both sides to stop the rattling and it is OEM. I will check out more of your videos and Im in Central IL USA so we get winters like you do but probably not as frequent or violent lol !
Good morning Metfan! Welcome to the channel! Funny they don't come with the 2601. But hope you enjoy your tractor. I imagine you are getting ready for the snow too! Cheers and thanks for watching and for the comment this morning! Cheers!
Good morning and thanks Kevin. LOL. I paused because I couldn't;t remember the name . LOL. That was it. Thanks for sharing and glad the video was a little helpful. Have a great week!
Winter is coming, I may not be alone with this, please do a video when you hook up your snowblower. Also it would be great to learn about your hydraulic chute deflector and rotator. Awesome video, always learning from you
Gord, thanks for another great video. It would be super helpful if you added all of the part/model numbers into your comments as well as the videos. I dont mind rewatching your videos but that would expedite ordering parts when I'm/others are ready.
Good afternoon GP . Good video full of great information for folks! Have you tried going over your trails with the tractor and snow blower yet? It’s good that you are all tuned up for winter. You mentioned about you and Guy possibly getting logs hauled in to cut and split? Sure would hate to see you folks getting cold this winter? Hope everyone and everything is okay up there. Thanks for sharing with us.
Hey good day ODD! No snow up here except a few flurries so have not had a chance to changeover to the blower yet - but hey, I did do all the maintenance and prep on it so I am ready. Been working on the wood now for a bit - a few videos are coming out in the next week. All good here and hope all is great with you too. Thanks and talk again soon ODD!
I don't think so ODD. Would be nice to clear them for winter walks but too much debris and things that could get caught in the blower I think. Take care!
I have the same FE snowblower and successfully cleared my hilly trails last winter. Just be sure to raise the skid plate to the max. I too have chains and spacers for my ballast filled wheels. On slopes it helps to drop your box blade to create some drag as you go downhill.
Excellent video. Good things to know about and to do, example, the brush guard, extra filters and oil. Always look forward to your videos. Is your jacket a regular Kubota one or only available from your dealer? The dealer patch is on it and was wondering.
Good day Gary! Thanks so very much - happy you enjoy them and watch! Yes, I got it from my dealer recently when I was in picking up a few things. Have a great week!
If you tell folks you put a knob on your ROPS they will think you a bit kinky. I just used a metric bolt and nut on mine. Put a nut on yours to lock it in place. If it comes loose it could fall off without you knowing it.
Thanks Clif. Not sure the size but I bought them from canadianchain dot com. I just had to click on the tire size (the number you find on the side of the tires) and they send the correct length/size of chains. Simple ordering. They had several different types of chains. These ones are called H pattern V-hook, chains. Very aggressive. Hope that helps a bit. Cheers!
Great video GP! Nice tips for newbies and good reminders for those of us with a few seasons under our belts. I've been thinking of making my LED lighting more permanent like yours, I may be revisiting those videos soon :) Just curious, how many hours have you put on your machine so far? I'm right around 240 after about 2.5yrs of ownership.
Good morning Joe! Thanks my friend! I have just passed 200 so will need to get the service done it - 2 years of use. Hope that helps. Cheers and all the best!
Excellent video, curious how the solar panels hold up in winter with all that snowfall you get.. obviously buried but structurally. Assuming that's a viceroy home. Do you think you would ever trade your tractor in for a cab b2650.. for warmth
Good evening CM! Some good q's. Structurally - not a problem but if I want to save on running the back up generator , I often need to use a roof rake to remove the snow off them. Remarkable things I can tell you. Even on the most overcast days, they still generate power - not as much of course but somehow they still generate. It is not a Viceroy home actually - I did include Viceroy in my research and analysis but I purchased from Linwood. One day depending on ho things go, I would really love to trade in for a cab. I think with experience, I will be sharp enough to get through the forest without shattering any glass and would really enjoy having heat in the winter and also keeping the flies away through the early summer. But I think that will be a long way off. I do have to say that I am happy that i didn't get a cab model while I am still learning in the forest. I am pretty sure I would have busted a panel or two by now. LOL. Hope you are doing well. I did look into those shirts you suggested - thanks! Be well CM!
Thanks GP still have not decided what tractor L or B has been a very difficult for me into my 4th month of indecision. I have watched many of your videos. Regards
Good evening Lee. It's a tough decision especially if it is your first tractor. I am happy the videos have helped a little. A few things, if you don't mind me offering. I spent months on it too. I have learned that if you have more than 5 or 6 acres, you most likely need to consider the L. Hard to explain but I am fortunate that my neighbour has the L and if I had more than this 4 acres, I would have purchased an L for sure. Heavier, more capacity and larger, higher ground clearance, among things. You don't want to buy something and find out it is under powered for all your needs. I know that probably didn't help much ( LOL) but if you have a larger property than mine, and it is affordable for you, try to buy the most tractor you can afford, ( within reason of course). Best of luck and hope you sort it out. Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors Thank you so much your advice is much appreciated. I have been leaning towards the L however when I watch your videos I am amazed at what the 2601 does. We have 37 acres all pasture that the cows keep down. If I buy an L that means you should as well, no one is making videos like you are with your B with the L start a new channel. Did your neighbor purchase more than the L2501? It would be nice to get under the emissions if possible. I smiled when you said 2 hr drive to dealer we know what that is like. Thanks again Regards
LOl. Thanks very kindly Lee. Guy has an L3400 - about 15 years old. 37 Acres - that is wonderful. I am not sure if you have discussed with your dealer what his recommendations are but for sure I would buy an L. One of the reasons I bought the B was because of it's small footprint for driving through in the forest, but I also give up some stability because it is a very narrow tractor. The L will give you lots more weight and a wider, more stable footprint, bigger back tires for traction and more ground clearance. It will lift more as well - the B will not lift bales of hay or anything that big or that sticks out far from the loader pins. It does most all of what I need here on my 4 acres but if I had more, an L would be the pick for me. Just my thoughts on it Lee. Good luck and let me know how it eventually turns out. I am sure your dealer will have the experience to know what is best for your land and types of uses to help you decide. Cheers and thanks again Lee!
Thank you for the video. Have you ever had to replace your glow plugs before? If so will you send me a link for how to replace them? I have a 2015 kubota L3301 4x4 and I have no idea where they are located.
i just bought a power angling plow for my Kubota 2610 tractor. it presently has a bucket and boom on it. apparently, i can use the roll back valve off my bucket control to control the power angling on the blade. However, i'm not sure where to connect the hoses. They are colour coded. I know i could damage the hydraulic pump if connected improperly. Any suggestions?
I would suggest that you do NOT attach shackles that have a breaking strength of 5,000 to 10,000 lbs. As you said, the drawbar has a capacity limit of 2,000 lbs. If you are pulling something that exceeds 2,000 lbs., it's better to have a inexpensive shackle break than something on your tractor. We don't usually intentionally exceed the weight limit but it can be done accidentally. For example: you're pulling something heavy and it gets caught on a rock or root or something, but your tractor is continuing to drive, in that instant when your tractor is yanked to a halt, the force can exceed the break strength. Ideally you would put a shackle with a 1,900 lb. capacity.
Are you still completely satisfied with your 2601? Do you wish you had gone for the 2650 or L2501? I'm about to purchase and the price difference between these 3 isn't much. Also do you wish you had the backhoe? Great videos.
Good morning Amped! Thanks for the question. the final decision is always a tough one. Here are my honest thoughts: Love the tractor and it has done about 95% of anything I have wanted it to do. But I only have my small 4 acres here. If I had more property, I would have definitely purchased an L series for sure. Much heavier, lifts and does more, higher ground clearance larger tires on the back etc. If I had to choose again, I would buy the same tractor. I would love to have a cab (which means a 2650) but I am happy, being my first tractor to learn on, that I went without. Much easier traversing through the forest (narrow width and smaller profile to wind through the trees) and I am pretty sure I would have put a branch or two through the glass by now. LOL. As many have said, you should always buy as much tractor as you can afford. In my case for the few times I have not been able to perform a task, my neighbour brings his L series over and does it. You may notice on the videos, for example, when we have big trees to pull out of the forest, or large boulders, my neighbour does it with his L. That's because my tires spin in the soft mulch ground because it does not weigh enough, compared to the L. Sorry for the long answer, but the short answer is yes, for me and my property, I would buy the 2601 again. But if I had a bigger property, I would buy an L for sure. Hope that helps a little. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. Not sure where you live but you may remember that last December Kubota had a big sale on their L series. The L2501 was in fact cheaper than a B2601. Not sure if you want to wait another month to see if they are going to run the same promotion this December. Cheers and all the best!
@@GPOutdoors thankyou for such a detailed answer. I have 4 acres as well. I live on the west coast of canada and I'm lucky to have a flat parcel of land that is easy to dig in. 2 acres of the land is forest with trunk sizes ranging from 24 to 42". 2 acres is cleared for my home to be built on/yard. My tasks are landscaping the entire yard, Making a driveway approx 300ft, making some trails in the forest so my young kids can ride bikes and dirtbikes. Cleanup of a lot of underbrush and dead fall. Eventually digging trenches for underground sprinklers and tree planting and possibly fence posts. I'd say I have a massive amount of loader work to do. Seeing what you do with your 2601 is impressive. I'm in a position now where I can afford any tractor I mentioned and the price difference between the 3 isn't much. I think for me it's coming down to physical size or the tractor and worried the L2501 may just be too big. What are your favorite implements? I see you have many.
That's great Amped! Here is where you got me - my average trunk size is around 14-16" ( we get the odd big ones but generally). Yours are a lot bigger. You need the L with a backhoe. For sure I think. It will also give you extra digging power and the BH should provide more power than a BH on the b2601 I think. IMO, the best implement of all time is the grapple. it is a must have for what you describe. I don't think you will find it too big but it will give you the extra weight, lifting and digging power for the tasks you plan on doing, I think. You will love it. Let me know how ti turns out! Sounds like you have a lot of exciting projects to begin soon. Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors after much thought I took delivery of the L2501 today. Thanks to your videos I am more familiar with the various aspects of owning a tractor. My 9 yr old son and I watch all your videos and he loves them. Now we get to learn how to use the tractor and he reminds me of all the things I'm missing. Cheers from Vancouver island. Thanks again!
Congratulations Amped! That's great news for you both. And thanks to you both for watching! Happy it worked out - I am sure you will be much happier with the L based on all the interesting projects you have ahead of you. All the best to you and your son! Slow and safe! Have fun and let me know from time to time how it is going. Great stuff!
Hello GP. Thought I would try the metric bolt, nut and even lock washer approach. The bolt size that did the trick was 10mm 1.25 30mm long. Thought this might save folks some guess work and trips to the hardware store. $1.50 USD. Chris in Maple Valley, WA.
Good morning and thanks Adam. The KTAC is great of you are only looking for insurance on the tractor itself but I needed to have 3rd party liability as well. ( ie I drive into the side of Guy's garage and damage it, or I injure someone with the tractor). So I needed to find insurance from an insurance company. KTAC does not provide 3rd party liability- it will only pay out to fix the tractor itself - not the garage or the person's hospital bills. Hope that helps. Cheers and all the best!
You keep calling yourself a "new tractor owner". With the hours you have logged on that B2601 you could probably start referring to yourself as "pro"! Cheers!
Excellent video Gord . It was like going back in time when you mentioned all of the things that you've had done to the tractor . I've watched every single video . Many great tips for new tractor owners and guys thinking about getting one . That diesel conditioner really works . Got mine at Canadian Tire on sale . I had a check engine light on my truck and the dealer said it would cost me $1300 to fix the problem . My buddies mechanic put some of that stuff in the fuel tank . Filled the tank and went for along drive . Check engine light gone . That stuff worked . Cost , maybe $10 . Always buy your fuel at places that sell a lot of diesel. This way you're sure to get winter diesel . Small mom & pop stations still might have tanks filled with summer fuel . Yes , big difference in summer and winter fuel .
FYI you can buy conditioner for low sulfer diesel engines, like the B series, made by the same manufacturer as shown in the video. Comes in an orange instead of green container. I bought mine at a local NAPA store in Canada.
We don't have a "B" series tractor, we have the "L" series, but some great tips anyway. I had already put the metal on the front guard, need to add extra lights. Thank for sharing.
Really enjoy your videos! I'm in the market for a tractor, my first, and have learned a lot from your videos. I plan on visiting dealers and putting boots on the ground, so to speak, before making the big purchase. Your videos have really helped think about what questions, applications I may have before making that visit. It's really refreshing watching you work through things, sometimes for your first time. it really relates to anyone who's going to be or is a first time tractor owner. It's much appreciated and I know is a lot of work! Thanks again and keep the videos coming! I think everyone would enjoy watching them, tractor owner or not. Doug D Murrayville, GA. USA
Good morning and thanks very kindly Doug! I really appreciate the feedback and I am very happy that it is helpful to folks, especially folks new to tractors such as myself. That's pretty exciting to be looking for your first tractor! Good luck and all the best. I would enjoy hearing when you finally get your first tractor. Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors Thanks for getting back with me. I will absolutely keep in touch and let you know which tractor I purchase. Yours seems to really serve you well! I especially like your videos on using the attachment. On a side note I'm looking at log splitters also. Yours seems to really be a time saver with the dual stroke splitting! Of course we dont need as much wood in Georgia as our northern friends but still supplement our furnace with a wood fire whenever were home. Just how much wood do you go through in a season? What other heating sources do you utilize if I may ask. Just curious as our winters are pretty mild and it seems yours are quite cold! Take care, Doug Davis Murrayville, Ga
How's it going GP that was some good advise especially the insurance... I updated my homeowner policy and it was cheaper to include the tractor rather then have a separate policy.. Also learned what my limitations were... God Bless...Chief..{NYS/ADK}
Going very well Chief! Family is good and that means I am good. LOL. So nice to hear from you. Great to hear you reviewed your policy and all is good. Have a wonderful week my friend! Cheers!
I need to do that expanded metal grill guard mod sometime. I spend quite a bit of time in the woods with my B2650 so it’s just a matter of time before I get a stick or branch up through there. Nice vid as always, GP. Have a good week!
Hi GP Great video as always A simple mod I have done to both my tractors is to glue a magnet to the top of the fuel caps so that when I fill up with fuel the cap stays on the hood of the tractor and doesn’t fall off if I forget to put the cap back on, I have lost two caps because I got distracted and drove off without putting the cap back on, the magnets work well. Michael 🇬🇧
Good morning Michael. That's a great idea! I have also almost forgot a couple of times to be honest. I usually lay it on the floor by the pedals and have hopped up the tractor to start it. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
I have a B3200 with 950 hrs. It is my fifth Kubota. 1600, 75??, B2400, B2710, and B3200. i've always used the glow plugs for starts even in moderate weather, it just starts easier. I remember someone explaining alot of gray smoke on startup and nothing after that. Whatya know about that boys and girls?
I send my customers to Duliban insurance all the time. They are very easy to deal with and can provide customer coverage for your application. Shoutout the them.
new owner of a B2601 and new to the quick attach bucket, pallet lift and snow blade. My first experience with the moving of these implements is when the driver dropped all off in my driveway!!! Took me 2 hours to attach, un-attach and move all around to where I wanted them stored and re-attach the bucket to the tractor - I know there must be a very easy method to attaching and un-attaching that I missed seeing as the dealer demoed it to me. Do you have a video of this that I could watch
IF you want to forever change your entire "tractoring life", get a hydraulic tilt cylinder. Then the quick hitch lives up to it's name. Once you have one you'll never believe you did without it.
Good day Sir, your video on the insurance for the tractors was an eye opener for myself, by getting the proper insurance coverage was very important, so I can go see Joe now !!! and save 1/4 of the cost of the insurance !!! Thanks again GP !!! Cheers !!!
LOL. Me too Dave. better coverage including off property and on road and only a little bit more than my current insurance which only offered on property. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! I still have to watch your latest video so will settle in with a warm drink and watch soon. Cheers!
Very informative. I have four Kubotas up to 85HP and am strongly considering a B2601 this winter or spring. Additions I always add are chain hooks for the loader bucket, usually weld on but Kens Bolt Hooks are an option if you don't weld; at least one rear remote for hydraulic top-link, I usually get two for TnT; step from Specialty Repair there in Canada. I live in the hills and add wheel weights. On some, I add hazard and tail light protectors and I just bought an adapter for the rear differential lock. Check Paul Short at Specialty repairs, he has some really nice additions for sever Kubota models including the B01.
Hey GP, another informative video. I'm going to look into quick hitch capability for my BX 23S, I just purchased the basic package that did not include quick attach for my FEL and since I have the back hoe that is part of the frame I have to remove it to use my brush hog. Since my memory fails me too often it's a new learning experience every time I do it. lol. once again great info. Thanks for sharing Cheers
Good morning Roy! LOL. Me too, honest. I have to write everything down or I forget. Great that you have the BH. I am sure it comes in pretty handy for you. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
Kubota offers the best insurance policy when you actually finance your tractor trough your dealership. Another tip, if you have a lot implements and you have animals like horses, etc., you be better with a farm type insurance then a residential one. My recommandations are based on Canada, Quebec and Onrario legislation. Great video, most of the mods you propose I did when I purchased my 2650 last year.
Thanks Eric - great point about the farm insurance , if you run a farm. However, respectfully, I have to disagree with you on the KTAC - I am not sure that the KTAC is the best, and it is too expensive for the limited coverage you receive, IMO. Duliban Insurance, here in Canada, is the only broker with standalone Compact tractor insurance (Called Tractor Protect- you can check it out on their website if interested), - the KTAC has no 3rd party liability , as I understand it - it only fixes the tractor. The Tractor Protect policy I sourced and now have in place from Duliban, gives me $2 million 3rd party liability and the insurance is in effect whether working on or off my property (my original rider on my homeowners policy only covered me while on my property and had no 3rd party liability). Hands down, I would offer that if I run my buddy over, cause personal injury to someone, or hit a car on the county road or cause damage to his property, the cost of fixing the tractor will be my least concerns. KTAC does not cover those things- it only covers the cost of fixing the tractor. I did a few videos on it - they are on the channel homepage listing, if you are interested - I spent a lot of time and research on the subject. Hope it helps a bit - wish you all the best! Thanks again!
I don't have a tractor GP but those are very good mods or attachments for sure.....tractor owners I'm sure will appreciate them......have a great week coming up and take care my friend...... :)
As Jeremy said, you are closer to a pro than a beginner. I must say that a nice thing about your channel is that you remember well what you had to learn. Then you also have a very good way of teaching it to "real" new tractor owners. Thanks GP!
Thanks Joe! So very kind and I appreciate all your support and help over the last 2 years. Have a wonderful week and hope to catch up with you again soon. Cheers!
I don’t have a tractor yet but I hope to purchase one in 2020. Between watching your videos and the research I have done it will definitely be a B series and most likely will be a B2601. These are great ideas that you have shared only a couple of which I have already planned on doing. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into providing us with your videos. Take care and keep on “tractoring”. God bless.
Good morning and thanks John! It's great to hear you have been researching for a while before you make your purchase. It's a big decision and so many brands and models to choose from. I am happy the videos have helped a little. All the best and good luck! Cheers!
Hi GP great video. I have added both implements and mods based on your videos. Keep them coming. We're practically neighbours - I live about an hour south of Ottawa. Think I have the same grapple as you! I found an attachment from Work Saver that goes on the loader and allows me to attach the carry-all on the front of the tractor. Biggest benefit is I now have a portable work bench that I can raise as high as I need. Great for working outside on things like push mowers and my portable generator.
Good day L4060. That's a great idea - portable work bench! Nice. Yes I think I would only be about 2 1/2 hours from you. I used to go up regularly when my daughter attended Carlton. Thanks for saying hello this morning and all the best!
Hello GP! Took delivery of my new L3301 with loader last Wednesday. My dealer filled the rear tires with fluid as standard prep (so no worries about extra ballast) and 3rd function valve for a grapple from Everything Attachments here in North Carolina. Your vids were instrumental in my buying decision. Always look forward to your practical tips. Cheers from Linden, NC USA!
That's great! Congratulations! You must be really happy. Enjoy your new tractor and all the best! Let me know how it is going from time to time. Cheers!
Excellent informative video. Thanks for all the tips. Hope all is well and hope Guy is doing better. Many blessings to you and yours. Be safe..wont be long till the white stuff is falling on the ground...lol
The leds are little pricey! I ordered a bunch of Chinese leds for my house, the 10 w versions, I'm running them for a year now, and only 1 failed until now, and it was my fault, the heatsink was wrongly mounted. They costed me 1.5 Usd each. The leds are easy installed in any of 12V vehicle systems too.
Busy Bee Tools has different knobs. Do a search on their website for knobs, it should show what they have. I bought a couple adjustable knobs for a chainsaw holder I made.
Another very informative video GP, you have come a long way in a short time. Are you a teacher by trade because you are great at explaining and teaching things. Very helpful tips for all tractor owners. Can't get enough of those overhead shots of your property. I think another project you may consider worth doing is to add mirrors to your tractor.
Good morning and thanks very much Mark! LOL. No , not at all but appreciate your kind comments. Mirrors are a great idea! Will help a lot and save me having to twist around in the seat - the old lower back doesn't like doing that anymore. LOL. Cheers and thanks for the idea!
My two or maybe call it three best mods to my 2601 are, Milsco V5400 air ride suspension seat, and added rear remotes with hydraulic top and side link. These mods are a real game changer for your overall comfort, and makes so many of the rear attachments so much better/easier to use.
Hey thanks! Some great adds there. Especially like the idea of an air ride seat. It gets pretty bumpy on the lower back in the forest. Thanks again for sharing and all the best!
I am a new Tractor owner and this is my first time to watch your show. I really enjoyed it and very informative. Have you heard of anyone putting cameras somewhere on or near the loader so you can see the front edge position of the bucket? Or how about on the back of the tractor so you don’t have to constantly twist around to see the back?
Hey good evening Nelson and thanks for tuning in. Congrats on the new tractor! Yes - Roger on the RU-vid channel 'Tractor Tech' did a video on putting a camera facing front and facing back. (not on the bucket, but on the front of the cab to see the front (you can find it on his channel). However, I am pretty sure you may find that you will still look backwards, but perhaps not as much. I don't know from experience but just my feeling is that the camera sees things closer or more distanced. Good luck and wish you all the best!
Great collection of mods. and accessories. You have mentioned some of these over time but it is good to get them in one video. You have shared maintenance tips from time to time. Maybe you could collect them together too. How is Guy doing? Take care all.
Thanks David. A good idea for a future video. Thanks so much for asking. He's getting better and getting out a little here and there now. Long recovery unfortunately. I'm sure he will see your comment and appreciates it very much. Cheers and have a great week!
Good video. Maybe a video in the future to list your subscribers mods taken out of comments. Also invite input on mods that have not been mentioned in the comments. Thanks and have a good one 👍
Great video. I added 3" wheel spacers and it increased the stability of the tractor dramatically. Another mod I did was a tool box carrier. I would send a photo if you provided an email as can't attach to this comment.
Good morning and thanks Scott! A couple of folks have suggested mirrors. I may look into them - my back does not like twisting around too much anymore either. LOL. All the best!
Now this go around You get to give us some great tips! You as well helped me out by making me think of a few things that hadn't crossed my mind. Great Video GP! 👍☺
Hey good afternoon BB! Well, I am happy there were a couple of things in there you might enjoy. You've helped me out a bunch! Have a great week out there!
