My heart breaks for the terrible events that you, your family & all of Ukraine are going through. I can't even begin to imagine the horrific details of what your Sister endured that night at your apartment. My sincerest condolences for the loss of your beautiful neighbor. I'm sure she passed knowing how much you loved & appreciated her. My heart really does break for all of you.

Thank you for sharing the good and the bad. 🤗 As an ICU nurse over 30 years I can say it is so important to speak and share these experiences and to continue to do the things that bring you contentment. Even if you feel you can’t do it then just encourage yourself to do a little everyday bc when you stitch it is really a moving meditation like yoga or painting. This enriches and heals your soul. It was your intuition and deep knowing to move your prized possessions , but your and your family’s safety is paramount. You just keep doing what you can do. I hope that your Stitching is helping you. All of your WIPS - Finishes is just beautiful. I have a few Buttons and Beads Kits that I bought last month from my LNS. You are so right about doing them on the perforated paper because everything is right there in the kit and they are easier to do. I love doing them myself. fabulous video. Love your finishes and your recent work in progress. Terrible what is happening in Ukraine just hope the war finishes soon. When you were at your friends home you showed a beautiful picture of Tulips S Luca and I thought wow as one does I must stitch that one. You get a really clear picture on a completed cross stitch than a photograph. I really enjoy seeing the detail on the finishes stunning work. I hope your sister is recovering from the bomb shock terrible situation.

Please do not apologize for sharing your stories. I was spellbound and horrified for you while listening. I cannot even imagine the trauma you and your countrymen have been through and still going through. It is important I believe, to share things like this for two reasons. One, it helps you I think to be able to speak about it and also people outside your country need to hear these stories. I am so sorry about the loss of your neighbor and friend after the missile strike. Your stitching is so beautiful and the Damask Roses project is so amazing and holds so much meaning for you.
