Watching in 2020. I am knee deep in nostalgia and loving every minute of this show. Such talent.......Some gone on to be with God. Every time one of the stars appear on stage my mind drifts back to a beautiful time.
Oh, I don't know about that... I've only ever walked out of two concerts, out of A LOT that I've been to; his was the first. He couldn't remember the words, and when he did he just slurred them. It was sad, because both I and my ex-husband were really excited about going. The second concert I left, was more than a decade later, with my then-8-year-old daughter who was so excited to see her favorite country music artist, Blake Shelton (whom she lost complete respect for that night). I had flashbacks to Hank Jr. I am so glad that the Possum sobered up all those years ago...
AHH, IT’S THEM AGAIN!!! I should been prepared for them. I can’t get enough of Randy Owen’s inner little kid CUTENESS!!!❤️❤️❤️ No one does cuteness better then Randy Owen. He’s the Country Care’s For St. Jude kids man.
Thank you SO much for getting this up here, my most favorite part is the 22:56 mark of the clip, I love my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys SO much!!! (forever wishing that I had discovered him sooner) God bless you and those who love him always!!! Holly in East Tennessee
I remember this very well, one reason it was the same year me and my wife got married. We were just starting and didn't have a lot of money so we watched TV a good bit.
These award shows were the BEST of television AND music. You won't get that UNBELIEVABLE amount of talent again at one time. How sad it is when you think back to when we were watching these, we had NO IDEA how good we REALLY had it. (In life, society, morals, our country, people, patriotism entertainment, etc) and we didn't even know it. Now, we're just an embarrassing, degenerate mess!! 😭
Would love to see Barbara Mandrel years. She won entertainer of the year two years in a row. So nice to see the Dolly/Linda/Emmylou trio together again.
I really meant it when I told You that I would love you forever, I was the happiest I had ever been and thought we were meant for each other I honestly don't know how or why I destroyed our marriage but I'll take the blame and carry the guilt. Just know I'm sorry. 1987 was so good I wish it would have not ended. Meet Me in Montana was my favorite song.
Where are the old commercials? I saw this one on my sisters computer the other night and there were old commercials. That’s why I asked her to send me the link. But in this one and the other 4 there are no commercials. Do they not show up when you watch on iOS?

@@stevendudley5687 Correct! In October he released his most recent comedy album. The main song from the album is a music video release called "Hoochie Coochie Dancer"...seen by hundreds of thousands of people on RU-vid since it's release in October. Some more songs from his current comedy album are "Gas", "Dis-Connected", "Old Dog", "Ain't Nothin' Funny Anymore", and "Soap Sally". His main base of operations, now, is his performance showroom west of Nashville called the CabaRay. He just wrapped up the 2021 concert season. He'll put on his New Year's Eve concert on the 31st.
McEntire was too affected...especially at the end of her song. Ironic how right afterward Kenny introduced Anne Murray as “no pretention” which is all McEntire is....pretention.
Country radio's downfall didn't arrive, in my opinion, until 1994. By that time any singer over 45 wasn't being played...not even given a chance to compete, actually. I listen to a local Classic Country radio station and I listen online to the songs and singers that I want to hear.
