@@stephentoback Hi Stephen. I have been just chillin' and reading all the comments and your responses; too funny! Love your sense of humor; it's been entertaining! Cheers!
They should bring back the show and the former dates to see where they would up, what really happened in their lives and if they stay in contact. It would be a hit!
@@stephentoback Brother and the young lady looked ABSOLUTELY COOL TOGETHER. GOOD TO SEE YOU have a RU-vid channel. By the way did you two Keep in touch?
Was born in 75. My memories are in the 80s. I loved growing up then....compared to now. Men were kinder (I married a man 22 yrs older and that was the best thing I ever did.) Kids were well behaved and respectful. Schools were better....but the 90s as a teen was awesome too. Best music of my generation.
Definitely my type back then , I was and still am the rock chick girl.😎🤟..great time back then, and you had class... that's awesome..she was a pretty lady too.
My 25 year old daughter says the same thing. I can't argue with either of you lol - It was awesome not having internet, smart phones and especially Facebook. :)
@@stephentoback it was great times, meeting people in ‘real’ life, dressed how we wanted and the music was the best. Nobody was on a phone constantly or social media. The only thing that would have been better, was having more photos of the great times!
Best Ever Epic Millennial and since when has anyone been told to eat tide pods!??? Don’t blame an entire group of people compared to one person who wasn’t watching their child! Get off the internet and Fox News!
The 80’s were damn near perfect. We really did hit the jackpot of life growing up in the 70’s and 80’s. The internet and cellphones have sucked the soul out of humanity. NEVER to return….NEVER! sad, sad, sad.
I have to say I agree with you. Even my 25 year old daughter agrees. Not sure if you have any young people in your life, but I just wrote a children's book trying to help kids (and parents) use their imagination - to hopefully put down the devices for a moment. Check it out if you're interested. amzn.to/3mhh7hn
I have no idea why this video was recommended to me but I’m glad it was. There is a maturity and lightheartedness about young people from this time that just isn’t a thing anymore.
Wow!! I love watching the LC episodes with the rock stars who walked out with there jeans stuffed in there boots,bk in the day a gf an md use to make bets before they walked out if the boots guna be stuffed lmao this was great THX FOR THE MEMORIES!!
Not sure if you can see this but I just went a little nuts on your episode. My latest thing is (poorly) photoshopping myself into funny scenarios... facebook.com/pouringoutmyheart/media_set?set=a.10155067900896995.1073741828.685981994&type=3
@@ricoroque281 Hey brother - so much! Been married for 27 years to an awesome rockere chick and have two grown kids. Still play music - will forever :)
This guy is a gem. He looked a bit free-wheeling but he made the effort, thoughtfully renting a car and getting a room for her convenience. He says he won't get married but he knows how to treat a lady well even at 25 :) And his hair is fantastic even for '91 :p
@@alissonjalil4729 I did. I met the love of my life a few years after the show. She had actually seen me on the show! We've been married 27 years and have two awesome grown kids
@stephentoback wow so I read you didn't go on another date? You were much more attractive than her, just sayin😂 and she looked better in the video before you met her. Those women all looked older then 24 or so😳
It really wasn’t great hair at the time, if you look at his bangs you can see up through them and can tell it’s already at this time it was receding, guarantee you he didn’t have that same hair even 10 years later.....uh and by the way....go look at him now!
I wish people would stop telling everybody how it was so better back in the day. The world is what you make it. Go out there and live your life the best you can. Then when you're older and some youngster says the same thing you'll understand the point I'm trying to get across. :)
@@mikegrizwold2522 it depends on the context. In someways the current day is better than 4 decades ago. But in terms of pop culture, music, dating, movies, etc things were better back then lol it’s all subjective tho.
Thanks for your comment and thanks for your service! My Dad was Army and I studied bass at West Point when I was in high school! I got to meet the Priest at a Sirius Town Hall when Redeemer Of Souls came out. Glenn was awesome. I showed him a picture of the SG I built to look like the one he used to use and he said, "Fooking Brilliant Mate"
This guy is absolutely adorable. Would have been my dream in 92! 😜 He’s sweet, funny, confident, handsome, and beautifully well-spoken! Just as cute as can be! I hope he kept up with his music
First of all, I'm blushing. Thank you. I did keep up with my music. There are some guitar snippets here and there on my channel (this is my channel) so please check them out. :)
Holy sh*t it is you!!! 🤣😂🤣 That is amazing!!! That will teach me to pay attention. Awww…. You’re wonderful! I hope you found the person of your dreams ❤️
@@stephentoback you were so sweet to your date!! going to go look at your guitar 🎸 clips now! I still have my studded bracelet from the 80’s! I kept my poofy big hair until 1996!! I didn’t want to let the 80’s go!
@Donnell Okafor I liked using the hairspray to make my hair super high, it was so popular in Jersey, plus it was easy! I just had my hair cut into a sort of a long “Karen” bob and I hate it so I’m letting to grow out again but not 80’s style this time 😂
Brings back memories. Stephen seems like a catch. She was really into him. Lol. Looks like it was a fun date. I love these old clips. Chuck was the best.
Thank you so much! I''m right here lol - Been married 27 years despite what I said on the show. Not sure if there are any young people in your life, but if there are, please check out the children's book I wrote, "My City View" - it's all about using your imagination to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary!! amzn.to/3mhh7hn
Michael Polese, considering I've never met him, I am taking your opinion into consideration. "You can't judge a book by its cover.." And so forth . Thanks for your response, though.
I was 22 when this episode aired. Wow I loved those days, those styles!! My kids think that the 80’s stuff if crazy, but I loved it!! Oh BTW I dated a few guys like you, love that hair, but my parents didn’t like it!! BTW I loved that show, always watched it with my mom, she loved that type of stuff.
@@stephentobackThat hair made me think that you would be very wild. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that you rented a hotel room for convenience and that you rented a car. Also that you were such a young gentleman. Definitely NOT an 8-handed idiot. Just goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover.
Stephen Toback Wow. I have to admit that I got sucker punched on this episode real bad. I think it takes a certain type of person to do a show like this. For me personally I could never do it, simply because I'm a coward :).
+117364677063280034781 Speaking of reality, they really should resurrect this show for the 21st century (although I highly doubt they will), because the majority of these shows branded as "reality" don't really qualify as such. At least Love Connection was good entertainment, but all of this fake "reality" tv is just trash IMPO.
thanks for uploading your video brother!!!! they need to show this in high school classes these days!!! teach the boys how to be a gentleman!!!! have a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol Damn bro. I had no idea you were ever on Love Connection. Damn, 1992. Them's were the days. Had some hella good times back then lol. Looks like you had a hella good time too \m/
I'd forgotten about this show. Growing up in the valley was such a blast. Things were light fun with very little seriousness - nothing like today's world.
I grew up watching this show as a kid in the valley reseda / northridge it was a different world back then. I remember the early 90s had this special vibe to it
Ha!ha!ha! ah man, this is pretty cool! I haven;t seen this show in YEARS now .I remember when the whole "grunge" thing took over . Drove me nuts! All my favorite bands over shadowed . I HATED that "scene" for a long long time but now i'm cool . Still into all my favorite hard rock and metal from way back . I don't mind Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and a few others but i've also mellowed! ha!ha! Anyhow, Sounds like you've had a good life man . Cheers! Keep on rocking!
He’s absolutely adorable! I loved the boys that had that look back then, and I guess still give me a giggle now. Still love that hair band music! His hair is beautiful and those eyes! She is a lucky girl, for sure!
I joked with my kids that I owned the same outfit that she was wearing. As I went to click like on the video I read the description and realized it was you on the show - lol! That's fabulous - we need a "Where are they now" series about people that were on the show! Have a great time in life!!
Thanks so much! Always nice to meet another 80s survivor lol - I've had an amazing life, thank you!! Married 27 years to a beautiful rocker chick (not that one) and two grown kids - Keep Rockin!!
This was really cute. I’ve been binge watching love connection episodes, and they had some real weirdos, but these two seemed perfectly nice and normal. I wonder if they continued to date.
Hey Jessica - thanks so much for the nice comment. I think I was nice, but not so sure about normal lol . We never did see each other after the show. It was a nice date but much of what I said was written for entertainment - sounds mean but I was young and trying to become a rock star or actor or whatever. I have been married for 27 years and have two amazing grown kids. I'm also most recently a children's book author so if you have any kids, grandkids nieces or nephew's please check out my book, "My City View" amzn.to/3mhh7hn
@@stephentoback Aw, how nice! I will check out your book for sure. So the shows were somewhat scripted? That’s interesting. I always wondered if that was the case.
@@rachelcombs9858 I can’t get enough! I never watch tv anymore because I just feel like tv isn’t as good as it was in the 80’s and 90’s. I really miss those times.
@@jessicapace4235 at least my segment was highly scripted so I have to think others were as well. The producers need to "edit" the conversations to make sure it's interesting and makes for good TV. I'm pretty sure it's the same with all "reality" TV these days.
Back when real love could just happen. He like to be him and she liked to be her. They liked being together. It was simple, it was sweet and it was sensible to say the least!😌
Thank you! My wife has been married to her bass player for 27 years! :) Not sure if there are any young people in your life, but if there are, please check out the children's book I wrote, "My City View" - it's all about using your imagination to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary!! amzn.to/3mhh7hn
I used to love this show back in the day! When I was giving birth to my son, it was on the T.V. in my hospital room. Even though I was in excruciating pain, I asked my husband to please turn up the volume! Couldn't miss a second of it! Lol 😉😊😁
Me too! I remember being 16 and having pizza and cokes with my grandma, when I’d get off work. That was a night routine, whenever we could get the chance lol
The 90's had so much hair. The perms. The koosh ball bangs. It's like you just walked off the set of Singles. This was a fun trip in the way-back machine.
🙂 Only maybe the 1st 2 years of the decade. This is overflow hair from the 80’s. Everything changed when Nirvana and grunge hit the music scene circa 92/3. They were the death of the metal-hair bands. 😂
@@stephentoback only a true 80s person would get that reference LOL I’m convinced to this day that most of the smog over LA and New York is leftover aqua net from the 80s lol
The "Love Connection ", The Hair, Acid Wash Blue Jeans and Rock Bands was the best of times ..Our 80's! Glad to see them back to the Future all in one shot again, here on.. RU-vid 🎬. "Rock On" 🎵 🎶🎸👖 ☺️💖💕
Me Totally!! Hahaha I just realized something, (man I can be such an airhead at times 😆) THIS was you! Lol I missed that connection. But, I just re-watched it and also missed the "Cats and Dogs" comment too..have to say I think there's truth to that! 😅Brilliant! And Kudo's to you Mom you have for recording this memory indeed! Thanks for sharing with us 80's children.
Yes, Stephen Toback, back in year 1991, Mr. Charles "Chuck" H. Woolery used to host this "Love Connection" dating game show just as maybe his former announcer there was Mr. John K. Cervenka!
Only dating show I ever liked. Chuck is great also! Love when date works like for this couple. The audience did not pick Sherri because she sounded judgmental in the clip. You cannot always tell a book by its cover. Sherri seems for real! Roses for Chuck. So thoughtful!

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was the (now 😞) late great CJ Snare. WOW, u look exactly like him. Looks like u 2 definitely hit it off 🙂. Hope u guys went on more dates! I am still in shock on CJ's passing..I loved Firehouse from the first time I heard "Don't Treat Me Bad", I was 12 yrs. old in 1991. Huge loss.
How do you past contestants end up with your/these clips? Do you guys seek them out or does the network/Love Connection find you? PS You were a total babe!
I enjoyed this and reading the comments. I was 30 then. Boy, life goes fast. Long hair is back. Chuck was so fun and happy. My other comment disappeared.
