Lesson Overview
Students created a story/picture book describing what Earth would be like today had a mass extinction not occurred.

HOTS - Higher Order Thinking - Students are demonstrating Higher Order Thinking skills by comparing organisms that are present today and the organisms present in the period before their chosen extinction and then inferring what may not have evolved or what event may not have happened to determine how the world would be different. Finally students are synthesizing by making a children’s story book.
