The two controller relay cabinets in front must be the main ones which control start/stop/ door open/close/interlock/ braking/ MG start and running. Unless they are a parallel feed off the controller cabinets for the floor relays only in back. They got it right on the installation 400VAC less current pull on the DC traction motor.
@@WaygoodOtis yes there is a rod that goes down the shaft that is pulled up and down by the gearbox in the machine room, each rod has a rope or string loop that goes around the shaft of the indicator, very simple yet accurate as would reset at the top and bottom if slipped or the indicator was moved
