Thanks for the video bro. I never knew about that pellet probe fix either! My .22 probe always had a slight catch issue so now I know how to remedy it! My .30 probe is spot on and feels so much nicer to cycle 👌. Thanks man.
.22 cal maybe the most versatile caliber on the pellet/slug market. The Hades are awesome... but need speed to work properly, as are the H&N Barracuda Hunter pellets also and Maybe the most underrated pellet made if you like a hell of a loud POP! Crazy expansion @ 900 FPS and one of my personal favorite 40 or less pellets...Daisy HP 15.27 grain made in Barcelona Spain...they look nothing like the picture on the label. Imagine a Gamo Red Fire without the tip...there you go....that is if your lucky enough to find/get them. Money well spent and so very LOUD ON IMPACT ALSO! They make a heck of a mess on critters at these closer ranges.No high BCs here bud...maybe .013 at best but just devastating. 500 pellets for 10-12$ USD is hard to beat. God bless my friend. I run those cometa in my dreamline and if I want to buck the wind a little more I use H&N barracudas, I do a lot of pigeon shooting for a pest controller and it's handy to have a few options, if we're shooting inside of stables and such I use the Jan 13 grain and run the gun on min hammer and low power wheel setting, still heaps of punch for rats and minor bird's.
Hey mate . When i got my .22 impact x a couple years back i found that the cometa 18.13 grain pellets would group the best. I have tried just about every other brand and size since and even started looking at slugs of late and still have not managed to better the cometa. I am still running a pellet liner in my impact i use it for Air rifle field target comps and target shooting / plinking. Could not be happier. 👍. I also use the cometa heavy pellets in my .177 hw77 springer with same results . Not surprised you had good results look forward to see how you feel the more you use them. 😃
theyre a good option hey! Its nice to know they are readily available too, my local shop doesnt sell much in the way of quality pellets but they do sell these so if i need them in a hurry i can get them.
Good day bud . I love my impact with the 600 mm .22 cal barrel . The fx 18.13 and jsb 18.13 pellets work great . I will buy and try the lighter ones but am in love with the heaver ones . Also love the fx and Nielson slugs . Can't wait to get ahold of the .35 cal barrel . But I have a feeling the .22 barrel will be the most used . Keep the videos coming and enjoy shooting . Beats the hell out of being shot at ...
I used to use .25 but I’m back on to .22 again now. Wait to you try slugs in .22! H&N are great but I love using Jsb 216 knockouts In my 700mm superior liner.
The reason your ES is so large is because of your high reg pressure and backed off hammer spring. Because you are only barely cracking the valve and releasing little sips of air the valve becomes very sensitive to small changes in hammer strike. The upside of that tune is high efficiency and low noise.
I think its a good trade off for my usage. Im thinking of polishing the internals to see how that goes in getting a more consistent hammer strike but im happy with the performance of it all for now
Yea I was thinking on getting the .22 cal barrel. m thinking on getting the .22 cal barrel those are not silencers on my airgun... there's not baffles in that pipe on the end of my FX Impact. but it does quiet is down a little bit just as long as you keep it under 850fps it should be ok. I have an Airforce Condor and a Airforce Texan moderated and the coffee mate container's make more noise when the pill's hit it. Then the air rifle itself. But it's because I was using 250 grain hollow point slugs. I I'm running only the .457 slugs. Plus I am also moving out of the Sonoma County California area.
You might be the only guy moving TO California! Seems like everyone else is fleeing to other states haha. I've only ever heard good thing about those airforce guns
i shoot jsb exact jumbo heavys 18.13 (they look the same and probably are) @ 1000 fps and they are still very accurate. You shoud give it a try m8. I shoot a impact mk2 power plenum 600mm superior liner. reg 110bar hammerspring maxed out for 110 bar. Love your content, keep the good work up. Thanks for your effort. :-)
If you can get some H&N sniper Lt or the sniper magnum I've had very good results in my Hammerli 850 .22 *(air at 1100 psi heavy hammer spring.) ~850 fps. Sniper Magnum. They're almost like a hybrid pellet/slug, One hole groups at 50M. Oh a nice thing for crown owners we can finally get a tactical type adjustable stock. Yahoo! And yea I to say the Cometa pellets are good, if you can find them in stock.
i rekon make the most of it and go 30 instead, the crossover between 22 and 25 is pretty close, a high power 22 is like a medium 25 so 30 might be more noticable jump\fun
@@meatheadmarksman2013 your right the way my .22 is set up it is shooting 25 grain pellets at 930 so basically a standard .25 set up. But I was thinking of using the .25 with mk2 34 grains. .30 is cool but not sure it would suit the shooting I do. .25 with option for .30 barrel possibly 🤔
@@samsawyer2145 you should try those +30gr 22 slugs and see how they go, probably save yourself the extra dosh of the barrel kit and buy youself something else you might want like a rangerfinder or a kestrel or some sweet targets

I do want an 800mm barrell but I dont really have a reason to own a 357, and would rather spend the $$$ on other stuff. id be much more keen on a 800mm 22 or 25 barrel just for the noise reduction
@@meatheadmarksman2013 I've ordered the. 35 for wind bucking long distance shooting, especially with a view to casting my own slugs. I considered the smaller calibres more tricky to cast for perhaps. It's a long wait for the. 35 to arrive in Oz
My Impact shoots air arms field diablo better than anything else I have tried. They are made for AA by jsb but I find they group better than standard jsb pellets.
Air arms have their own dies that jsb use so yes there is a reason why they are slightly different my friends impact shoots the AA slightly better than the jsb also
My friend when you clean your airgun barrel do you use a cleaning solvent used for cleaning powder burners, for example, like Hops cleaning solvent. They say that airguns shouldn't use the same harsh solvents as powder burners. And airguns should use Ballistol and non harsh stuff on them. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW.
sounds like good advice, its probably just to protect the o-rings that may come into contact with the solvent. if your barrel has a removable liner I would say its fine to use a solvent to dissolve whatever goo is in there just clean it out well before you put the barrel back together. if in doubt don't use it.
I bought the new FX Impact a few months ago and it seems to be shooting all over the place. No matter what I do it is not at all accurate. I also have an older FX Streamline and it shoots perfectly. I'm thinking either something is wrong with the gun or the Helix Element scope. It was all setup at the shop I bought it from and in factory settings. So I haven't touched any of the settings at all. Other than constantly dialing back in the scope every time I use it. Only to use it the next and it is off again. Getting very frustrated with this expensive gun but don't know how to fix it. Taking it back to where I bought it is a days journey as it is far away. Any suggestions would help. Thinking of trading it in at this point. Love the look and the feel of the gun but right now it sucks.
thats a tough one to diagnose without having the gun to look at, I know its a pain to take it back but thats the best option, otherwise I suggest diving into youtube and forums and learning about a few things that can come out of whack with an impact. @@meatheadmarksman2013 Thanks.. Yeah I am stumped on this one too. I see people on RU-vid shooting tight groups at a 100 yards or more and I cant get a good group at 25 yards. At 75 yards I cant even hit the target. Very disappointed in this gun. Both the gun and the scope are brand new. Afraid I may have to take a day to make the long trip but also afraid he wont find anything wrong with it. Maybe its a warped liner or something.
Its a 700mm barrel, haven't tried the monsters yet. Haven't actually seen them in any shops here yet. I suspect if they're are heavy and long they will like speed

If you think .22 are small compared to .25 and .30 drop down to .177 and you seem to have the fattest fingers you've ever had, not to mention you'll need some glasses to seethem 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍
You frustrate the crap out of me most times, always pushing stuff beyond the limits, you didn’t need to spend $8000.00 on an FX and S&B scope. You could have the same results using a half decent PCP and say a Hawke scope, even a Delta Stryker, blowing the Element out of the water. I push those Cometas @ 930 FPS, insanely accurate out of my $1500.00 BSA R10. 100 yards is just too far, the pellet after 60 yards has a mind of its own, hence why the groups are tight at 60 and then open up at 80-90. I’m sure you would enjoy your shooting more if you limit the ranges and shoot at distances that the pellets are designed for. 1 ragged hole groups at 75 yards are very satisfying, but the conditions have to be perfect, out past that in even the slightest breeze, forget about it, buy a .30 cal or even .35.
Im aware that cheaper guns work great too, they just don't light my fire like something as highly customisable as an impact. As far as the glass goes I got that because I wanted it, not because I need it, my $40 gamo 4x is fine for 100m airgunning but that doesn't interest me. I tinker with my guns, I like to change things, try thing just for the sake of it. Im happy with the results I get at 100m too, I dont have unrealistic expectations of 1 hole groups. Im not doing any of this to "find the best" of anything im just making videos about stuff that I think is fun. For me the fun is in the journey not the destination
