Oh! You can combine Rupturing True Aim with Uncanny Force Push to both push around enemies WHILE building up True Aim Stacks since the Force Push deals weakspot hits as well! (Guess this makes up for the fact I skipped #16 :p )
I've been running deflector force sword + kinetic deflection since before the skill tree update, but I guess I never got a confirmation: does block cost reduction effects (primarily the big buff to it you get from deflector itself) apply to the amount of peril you generate while blocking? I lean into it with a block cost reduction perk on my force sword just in case, but it would be good to know.
@@burnin8able Afaik both block cost reduction and max stamina reduce the amount of peril generated, yes. With full bcr and stam on trinkets you should be able to full block crusher overheads
@@edgarlizard4109 I'm gonna need a source on that. I know for a fact that with zero peril crusher and mauler overheads will just ignore your block entirely, break your stamina through your perils, and oneshot you if you're not at near max toughness from personal experience.
fun fact: almost all of the combat abilities have some sort of "hold the button to show effect" mode. ogryn taunt, vet shout, telekine dome, etc. basically, if it does something other than just buff you, you can check the effect of it before popping it. it's also a hidden mechanic thats been in 'tide games since launch of vermintide 2 if not longer iirc
Don't forget the Zealot flying dagger can cancel the lengthy Bolter swap-to animation, making the Bolter now a fast-react weapon for any range and any target.
This list could probably hit 100. I have most hours on zealot, and I had no idea the zealot charge was targetable. Showstopper on flamer applies to zealot fire grenades. Also any brittleness as well I assume. Very helpful video!
A fun fact of thy rath be swift which allows you to not be stunned by melee attacks. It allows you to do the interrogation part of missions without being stunned by melee enemies while you still have toughness. Though you will still drop canisters and batteries if you are hit by melee attacks.
Slight correction, Veteran's Grenade Tinker DOES NOT increase the bleed damage, as of when I last tested it, about a month ago. Grenade Tinker only increases the explosion damage.
Great vid, earned a subscriber with it :) About the Veteran bullet-proof rush: I recently started pairing Stripped Down with Hit & Run so you can pretty much just run through ranged enemy groups. SD gets you near them without a scratch and H&R keeps you unharmed while gunning down everything. Rinse and repeat. With maniacal laughter.
My favorite combination to go along with #9, 5:48, is Surgical on my Zarona revolver. ADS, build up enough Surgical to guarantee a crit, pop Stealth and shoot again for another crit, then a 3rd time for the final guaranteed crit. Hitting this combo on a Nurgle nets some *damage*. Also, I've almost exclusively ran Stealth zealot since your video on it Ryken and it's just so so so good.
I wish I could like this video TWICE for that ranged attack immunity synergy, because power swords with power cycler are insane in melee and a melee vet build that can always close the distance is nuts.
Nice Vid! Bullet Proof Rush (Stripped down & Sprint). I started messing around with this a few days ago, a couple of uses for it: Draw fire from rooms full of gunners to stop them shooting at your team shoot while sliding to take out a few shotgunners/gunners, I mainly find it good for closing the gap to melee though, especially paired with shout.
Also emphatic evasion + whatever that is that increases dodge duration + scrier + all crit makes a psyker in melee neigh invulnerable to ranged attacks. You can also trigger precognition or whatever else that gives you crit chance/finesse damage on buff too since ranged attack dodge counts as dodging For vet, ghost + suppression immunity + duck and dive + dead eye = being able to stand in shooter fire line while being invulnerable to their attacks while keeping stamina up.
Here another fun one for zealots using chain weapons! When you do a reaved special attack after the hit lands you can use your first of the faithful to do more dmg then just using fury and then reaved. + It make the reaved attack save to finish bescuse of the little stun you do with fury
I didn't know ogryns could brake from Bull Rushing! I tried by pressing the ability button again. Taunting Snipers with Attention Seeker doesn't get them to come over for melee, but I think it breaks their aiming AI and stops them from shooting. Laspistols used by Psykers have a Force Push special attack that has a surprising reach. I think it can be compared to the Force Push of Force Swords.
another thing about the purgatus having a super long charge is that if you're using battle meditation, which i personally like to make room for on some of my builds, you can pretty much keep it constantly at high peril while doing that indefinitely, so even if you're using something other than venting shriek you can still cover fire for a while
Recently battle meditation has backfired by triggering too much since i need high peril for crit chance to deal actual dmg to specialists/elites and when they are in a horde your peril just fucking tanks sometimes like 90% to 20% in one cast and you start crittig way less needing more casts to kill the stuff you actually want to kill
8:19 I saved myself like 3 times in one match. The peril warning gives you three seconds before you blow up. I just started spamming my psykenitics wrath.
So im not a bull rush prodigy that always places it perfectly to stop when i want And why is here the only place to day brittleness is a debuff and rending is a buff
This, tbh. Losing all that bonus damage and peril cost reduction is rarely worth the ult cooldown imo, especially if you're using a low CD ult like push :/
Nah assail and the entire right side psyker tree need a rework honestly. Expected a little more than brain-dead homing damage that has active anti-synergy with its own skill tree
13:47 Running *into* gunfire? If your plan is to run headlong into gunfire then you deserve to be gunned down. No, this is more useful for you to reposition yourself while under fire. How is that useful? Your teammates aren't always there to get you out of the fire (looking at you zealots) and retaining mobility and being conditionally bulletproof by negating the gunners and reapers ability to slow you down is always beneficial especially when there's a platoon of them aiming at you.
