A drill I like to do, especially to warm up before playing: Moving your crosshair from one dummy to another (without shooting) with the goal of not overshooting your flick. If you overshoot -> slow down until you get it consitantly and then focus on speeding up again. you can switch up positions so it doesn't just become muscle memory on how to shoot these particular targets. This drill gives you a sense on how far to move your controller to reach your target. When flicking I think its generally more important to learn how to stop on your target than timing your shot while flying your crosshair over the target.
@@laii4kkkk Yes! I'm a veteran haha, I am teaching my friends how to snipe if they want to learn and call them my babino snipino's 😊 hey if you ever want to play splat together I'd love to!
honestly these are all actually really helpful, especially if you’ve just picked up the charger. i find helpful to also either practice in hero mode or just take it easy in turf, as turf really helps you train to keep an eye on a semi-unpredictable moving opponent, and it also helps with fighting different weapon classes.
Another one you can do is practicing angles greater than 90° to catch those pesky flankers off guard or to shoot at someone while swimming away. Praticing these actually saved me a few times in game. Also consider right-side peek practice, and storing a charge behind cover then swimming out of it to shoot something. Last one I like to do is closing my eyes, holding right on my stick and then spinning for a random amount of time. Then open my eyes and shoot the nearest dummy to my reticle. Helps with flick reactions.
Thank you so much for these practices! I'm a E-liter 4K main and have been improving my aim, but feel like I need to sharpen my charger skills more. There not alot of videos about chargers, so I am glad people are now creating more.
this video is so amazing! i was trying to learn chargers on my own, but had no frame of reference on what to do, so these practices really helped! thank you so much for these
Thankss so much for your appreciation!! I understand your situation as I have learned hardly by myself in the past, and that’s why I wanna help more players!!! Anyways, I’m rooting for you!!
Thank you for this video! It is a lot of help for practicing my shots. I hope you make more videos to help learn how to snipe. It’s really hard but I think I’ve gotten better at it. I try to practice in turf war a bit every day.
I actually wrote these down, because just doing the first five helped me improve a lot. I’m a newer charger main (previously and still a roller main) and these tips are great! Tysm :D
I’ve been trying to main eliter since splatoon 3 came out this is really helpful! Can you do one for scoped chargers? I feel like they require more skill and knowledge
Thank you so much for this video!! I used to main the charger but I quitted splatoon for a while… Since I’m back again I’m struggling with the charger and this helps me a lot!! 😄
Thank you Lai,I main the reef flux and I’m getting really bored of some of the gameplay,I did main some shooters and buckets but, never a charger,Or splatana. So this video was a lot of help, Thanks for everything!(I did forget some weapons like blasters etc :) )
This is definitely something I'll consider. But I'm probably going extreme difficulty because I like the scoped version a bit more (which can't store a charge and has limited sight range)
Switching over to chargers from being a dualies main. Definitely very different and it's so difficult to adapt to. I'm going to give these exercises a try. Thank you. :)
Nice! I’ll definitely be sure to use these to practice. Also, the one where we shouldn’t do that practice (very beginning) I do use, but not for sniping. Instead, I just do that as a warm up to prep my hands, wrists, and hand-eye coordination.
I've always been using more aggressive weapons like brushes and splatanas, and I've been wanting to play squiffer because it's a really fun weapon for me! Thank you for sharing these practices, they really worked and I've been able to splat more just from one practice!
oh my god i wish i could give you a high five these helped SO MUCH!!!!! ive always sucked with this weapon class and have apparently never used them correctly. thank you!!!
TySM! I thought I was gonna quit charger, so I thought of finding a video to help me, this video helped me get the hang of motion control too! I've gotten 8 splats with the goo tuber and you just earned a sub! ^^
I am a junior high school student living in Korea. I'm enjoying the Charger in Splatoon, but your video was a great inspiration! I'm not good enough, but I'll try my best until we fight together. Thank you for the great video.
This pratice guide it's so usefull! I'm slowly praticing to use different weapons since I only used akimbos for a very long time (Since Splatoon 2 day one bruh) and I'm learning how to use snipers now and this guide it's a real life saver! With this pratice I'm getting better at snipers plays and I'm so happy about it
I tried out the charger weapons a couple of weeks before the Splatoon 3 release and we don't talk about that ever. It's wasa nightmare. But rollers were starting to get boring and I wanted a challenge. I think I've been doing pretty good so far but my aim game is still weak so thank you for this ❤️❤️❤️
@@laii4kkkk Felt that but with the roller There are times where I just wanna go back to my roller but I like standing at my little place with my charger and snipe people the second they stop paying attention XD I watched many Splatoon let's plays (mostly from one Channel) and they always made the chargers scary to use so I was the aggressive roller main throughout Splatoon 2 Dear people, don't do my mistake and try out all of the weapon classes XD
Thank for tips, you can see from one of my videos I'm complete garbage with chargers. I usually hate on snipers but this isn't mouse and keyboard so I give charger mains a lot of props even with motion controls
I like the fact that i see now there are better spots to snipe on now. It’s nice to see that other E-liter mains wanna show the tak ticks. Now to build a proper gear for it to. Ty so must 🙏
I’m surprised you’re not using the moving practice dummies! I’ve been practicing on the fastest one in the weapon training room (not the lobby) and it’s been so helpful
Oh right I always forget the existence of THAT training room loll. Plus I think it is more convenient to just practice in the lobby! Well I think both of the training locations work pretty same :)
@@laii4kkkk I just wanted to say that I’ve been using your tips for a couple months now and they really do help! And now the splat charger is one of my most used weapons! Thank you! 🙇 ps. Not scared of them anymore lol
Some of these exercises I do use but also some I didn’t think much of. Thank you for the advice. I definitely appreciate the effort you put in this video
@@laii4kkkk you have any advice against dualies? They just dodge roll spam and are so hard to hit that when I manage to kill one I squidbag on them since it’s a chore to kill a dualie main.
I just kinda… muscled it in turf until I got it, then it came naturally. Also, this is coming from a blaster main, someone that commonly plays frontline. This is everyone’s message that chargers can be played by anyone. Most weapons will want to start off on weapons that get shots out faster, and I personally recommend bamboo, squiffer, and charger depending on your play style. I started with squiffer and am now able to play most chargers.
That’s really cool to know!! Btw I indeed play every charger!! (Not gootuber lol) It’s always fun to start sniping and I hope you could keep going on!!
Thank you for these tips!! I've wanted to use the no scoped E-liter but I feel like I'm too used with the scope which makes no scoping a little harder lol. I barely see anyone doing Splatoon weapon tutorials as I thought Splatoon weapons are a self taught kind of thing, but these tutorials are deffo helpful! Thank you!
Update: Have yet to use a charger in turf or competitive. Left to right and vice versa are a lot harder than up to down vice versa. It’s a lot easier to over estimate distance when trying to do a shot sweep faster.
@@laii4kkkk Another update: Just went into turf war with the 4K for the first time, and I’ve been on the winning team three times in a row with 5-7 hits on people. This stuff really works!!
A drill i like to do ( havent watched the whole vid hope its not in there lol ) Stand still in front of the moving dummies and just snipe as they pass by
i recomend adjusting stick sensetivity aswell, seriously it helps a lot also people please super jump away when your in a bad situation its always an option and dont use ninja squid its a waste and go for respawn punisher or object shredder for the crabs and bubble and a few subs of ink recovery because yes
Ok so I started practicing and I thought I could do better to the first one with the quick shooting but I suck and I'm better at storing charges and jumping on platforms 🥲
It’s okay. Take it slow. It’s normal that you can’t handle all the practices, as you just start practicing for a short time!! Keep it up and you can do it!!
Tysm!!! I haven't watched the full vid yet, but I've been looking for improvement in both my scoped eliter and unscoped. I'm trying to get better with unscoped because it's apparently better than scoped (which I disagree with, I just think scoped needs an actual reason besides range for being picked over unscoped) and it's always good to know how to use such a high skilled weapon. These will help me get back to my original skill level since I've been slacking, and busy ofc, and will also show improvement!!!
I usually prefer my main of Splatlings / Blasters, but I do want to get better with every class instead of just playing those two like I did in Splatoon 2.
Thank you so much for this video ;_; I'm a heavy splatling main wanting to learn sniping because I've done being terrified when I see an Eliter on the opposing team lol🙄when you're done with them you gotta join them 🤩🤩 I've spent a whole day practicing your tips and finally I feel I can snipe a little bit now 🥲 Do you have any tips on tracking the players movement? Especially when they're in swimming form, I don't know how to track them properly, I tried predicting the place they'll be but still so hard 🥲
Hey there!! Thanks for your appreciation :) In fact, I posted another practicing video that is specifically for scope chargers. You can check out my videos if you are interested!!
I'm actually getting better! I've made the switch to the un scoped elitres as I didn't know about charge storage, and I'm almost at c+! Thank you so much!
@@laii4kkkk OK RIGHT AFTER THIS I STARTED GETTING WAY BETTER ALONG WITH MY FRIEND WHO IS PRACTICING E-LITER I'M GETTING OVER 7 KILLS AND MORE YAYAYAYAYA
Omg thank you for making this video!!!! I’ve always been inconsistent when it comes to sniping. Also what abilities do you recommend for chargers other than Respawn Punisher and Ink Saver?
Thanks for your appreciation!! For me, object shredder is super useful!!! With this ability, you can be able to knock out a crab tank with two shots and destroy a wave breaker in just one shot!! And swim speed up plays a vital role too. I always feel that I swim slowly without it!!
Do you know how often should do these practices, like once every few hours? This has been a great help though I have been getting great snipes after doing all the practices. Excellent video!
I don’t think a long period would help. I guess training 2 or 3 sets of them a day is enough already. Btw thanks for your feedback and I’m rooting for you!!
@@laii4kkkk Quick question! How do you apply what you practiced in actual batttle? I find battle to be really hectic so I feel like I forget everything I practiced...🤣
I reckon that experiences are playing a vital role. For instance, let’s say I am on a high tower and I see someone climbing up and trying to kill me. The way I handled this in the past is to wait until he’s up but this is actually very dangerous. For now, I would choose to run away directly or store a charge, get down the tower and try to get him first. In my opinion, I think you should improve your aims maybe. After that, you can try to add up some advanced skills one by one and get familiar with them. I hope these help you!!
Yea you can totally do those practices!! But just stand closer to the dummies as squiffer can’t reach a long distance as chargers and e-liter. And I wanna tell that I love Lobby 9 so much too. It’s just so unique in numerous songs.
Lately I’ve been trying to get into chargers (v splat specifically) does anyone have any recommendations for what type of gear to wear and also motion what sensitivity to have my controller at?
Perhaps you can check out another video I have made. Although It’s an Eliter guide, I think some concepts are not limited for just eliter, but also the whole charger class. I have mentioned about the gears and some other tips in that video. I hope it helps you. And for your reference, my sensitivity settings are 0 / +3!!
hello very nice video this helps me a lot thank you I’d like to know if you use the R stick to aim or the gyroscope? It seems difficult to target a moving enemy with the R button alone
Sad to hear this. Maybe you need to a more comprehensive thought in battles. Try to predict where your enemies at and don’t just chase them with your charger laser.
You can find the most suitable motion setting simply by flicking some shots in the lobby. I have never used joycons to play splatoon so I can’t give you an exact answer. I tend to use pro controller btw.
Hi there!! For the main slots, I highly recommend swim speed up, respawn punisher and object shredder. Swim speed up is absolutely useful when you get into a risky situation, you can try to swim away and jump out ;) If you wanna know my full gears’ abilities. Please check one of my previous video called ‘eliter guide’!! I have shown my gears ability in it!! Lastly, thanks a lottt for commenting and simply liking my content!! ✨
Negative sens are recommended, as it’s more stabler for beginners to control!! Also, you should test your own sens in the lobby, by trying flicking shots and see which number is the most satisfying for you!
