Oh I am so excited for your Jpipe video! Please have it detailed, since you’re the only one I know of that will do a decent job at posting the install video.
Can you put the links to all the parts you got for this setup please. I wanna get this but the piping and intercooler is all separate, don’t know what all to get and what not to get, so could you lay it all out for me?
Here is the Piping kit: www.importimageracing.com/products/ets-front-mount-intercooler-piping-kit-2022-subaru-wrx?variant=32647992508512 And here is the Intercooler Core. Youll have to choose thickeness and color. Mine was a raw 3.5" core: www.importimageracing.com/products/ets-front-mount-intercooler-core-2022-subaru-wrx?variant=39542293135456
Not sure yet. Leaving it open for now. On the VA when switching to front mount you had room to mount an oil cooler in the stock ic location. In the VB, the piping is in the way. I left it open for now, I'll eventually either block it off or try to find a scoopless hood but I'm sure if one does come out it will be a while.
@StreetInspired1 I just asked this question on reddit, and someone stated to plug it, since the air pressure from the hood scoop makes the air flow through the FMIC and radiator less effective. I wouldn't have thought of that.
@crimsonnimbus158 I actually made a video on that a while back after talking with my old tuner and didn't see those same results ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eCufORlSSWw.html
Love your install vids. Not sure if you've answered this before but, did you need any sort of flex fuel sensor or kit for E85? Does it show the percentage of E in the accessport like the previous gen WRX? Also would running ethanol like that throw a CEL? I know a Jpipe would as I saw your new video. Just curious as I may end up getting a new WRX. I had a '20 PP with ethanol and DP and it was a blast but it got flooded lol.
Hello! I just purchased a 22 WRX premium and it looks to have ETS piping and I think this intercooler. Is there a way to figure out what was added to the car?
I have a giant box full of strictly subaru hardware. It's been an accumulation of my 4 wrxs and a few of my friends cars anytime something gets removed and new hardware installed I keep the old hardware just incase.
@yevgeniylankin7032 I did a video doing on my VA WRX good amount of work but it definitely helped a lot of people. So when I do it on this one I'll be sure to record it!
This comment screams "I don't have the balls to modify my car" or "I cAnT vOiD mY wArReNtY." Lol Wrx trannys hold power fine. New 2.4 has stronger rods. CTT is a legit tuner. Love the content as always.
@stijanjija2225 He tried. We maxed out the boost on the stock Intercooler and at some point it wouldn't make any more power when adding more boost and was heat soaking, The Front Mount allowed us to add a pretty significant amount of power over the factory IC.
This fake Marketing/Advertising crap has to stop people need to realize that the gains presented on this video are not real. Virtual Dyno its a easily manipulated tool and sometimes its not consistent(since its a conditions dependent) And can throw random numbers out of nowere and show gains like this. Go get some respectable before and after real dyno numbers on same dyno and same conditions!!
So many people do E tuning. It's the most convenient for almost everyone. Virtual Dyno Jets are within 5% accuracy of a real dyno jet. If you want full transparency here it is: every pull was done on the exact same flat road and the pull was started at the same line in the road every time. The only manipulation done was when we chose to do the pull. It's been in the 90s here, so we weren't seeing the gains and numbers we wanted and chose to do the pulls at night time after it cooled down. So we're talking instead of running the pull during the day getting 95° manifold temp, we ran it at night getting about 80°. This is a lot more accurate in my opinion because It's never this hot. Here in PA for half the year it's in the 40s and the other half of the year it's usually averaging 75-80.
@StreetInspired1 That's what Clark told you loll. Take the car to a Dynojet for 2 pulls and report back with results!! the outside temp its just one factor. You can manipulate the VD in so many ways that it's ridiculous to claim numbers on the internet. So you are saying car will only make power if its cold outside if not you cant even do a pull lolll.
@josemartinez4572 Name one car that doesn't make more power more efficiently in colder weather... a Tesla. If he was manipulating anything, why would he waste his time having me re run the car and re log it to get better numbers when he could've just manipulated it. This game is all about trust. So you believe what you want. Real Dynos can also be manipulated. If I took my car to a real dyno and ran it and showed 10 whp less I'm not gonna be mad about it.
I've driven plenty of STIs and they're great, but I wanted the new car with the FA24. They don't make an sti anymore, so I got a wrx. I'd like to get an older STI project in the future though
