ETS says no tune required on a stock car. However, I would suggest monitoring it closely. Everyone seems to have different feedback about it. I would always suggest a tune to be safe.

I was so confused when I got mine because of the shape of the coupler. Nice to have this updated installation video.

I just installed this and thought I was missing a 12mm bolt that videos state to screw in the black intake tube/pipe. It was frantic during install trying to find a spare one. Finally figured out that new version comes with a rubber insulator instead (black rubber piece with 2 studs coming out of it). You screw that in by hand and then put on the pipe, and then the nut on it from hardware bag. Hope this helps someone.

I also ran into the fitment issues with the catchcan and airbox. I dremeled out the corner weld and back piece of metal to clear the can, but I left the top piece of metal alone so it was still a perfect rectangle retain the "stock" look. After the cutting, the stock air dam fit perfectly in place as well. I'm running California 91 on a stock tune and 4k miles in, I've had no issues or codes thrown with the post-revision model.

Just did mine with your help, BUT... The clips hate me. I need to buy about five replacements. Also, the bolt they sent was too short and I had to use a step bit so it would reach. It works and sounds great! Thanks for your help.

Thorough install video 👍🏼 Also good know about the radium catch can slightly being in the way as mine came yesterday and I’ll be Installing the dual catch cans over the weekend. I’ll Refer to your video of course. 🙂 Your billetsworkz short shifter video helped me out a ton. I put that in couple days ago. With the same set up as yours, short plate, shift bushing etc…love it! Not coterversaul at all, IMO. Keep the great content coming! and an update on how the ETS air in take is doing on the stock tune as I’m looking at doing that as well. 💪

I had the same issue with the radium catch can. I just cut the back right corner of the box about halfway down so it doesn't interfere with the catch can then closed it at an angle. Box fits fine and there is no pressure on the radium bracket. Happy to share what I did if you want.

Thanks for the vid. I noticed that ETS pipe didn't align straight into the coupler where it connects to inlet, but rather had a slight slant. The coupler seems to connect it with the inlets using the clamps. But the slant is bugging even with the coupler tightened. Was wondering if you noticed the same?

Dude, you’re killing me, Smalls! At 11:42 minute, you start with your “hack” . Just like the short shift install for the shifter box plate. All that money spent to end up forcing, adding, jamming, hammering, etc etc your modifications. 😮😮😮😮
@StreetInspired1
@StreetInspired1 Год назад
That's because it won't fit with my catch cans. I'm not scared to modify or "hack" things when they dont work. Not sure if you saw my reply to your comment on the Shifter box cover but that was literally how Billetworkz told me to do it. I really don't care because no one is really looking at it. It still works the same way.

AEM and Perrin just both released intakes that are said to be safe to use with stock tune. I would trust them more over ETS since ETS made claims it was safe and really it was causing issues. Then to add a sleeve to try and correct their error... meh. At least Perrin and AEM took the time to design and test their intakes before releasing them.

@@brockjohnson1782 "Early on" doesn't mean anything as far as selling a product that is safe on a factory tune. Normally news outlets that try to report on things like to be the first but the facts don't always line up because their main objective is to be first without taking their time and confirming all of the facts. You want companies to take their time because in the end, you want your car to be safe.

Cobb has a stage 2 map would it be safe to run this intake with that map ?
@StreetInspired1
@StreetInspired1 4 месяца назад
The only thing the cobb stage maps are good for are the cobb parts. So the only safe way to run a cobb ots map is if you use the cobb branded parts that are supposed to be used with the cobb ots map. For example cobb stage 1 can be used on a stock car. However cobb stage 1+ tune uses their Big SF intake. The only "safe" thing to run on that tune is the cobb intake. And so on. However people have been running cobb ots maps for years with mixed matched parts some get lucky others experience problems.
