What a great idea! It would even be helpful for people with a long commute to/from work. When the car breaks down or an accident brings traffic to a halt for hours (I’ve experienced both in the past) this little stash could save the day. I just did some figuring and realized I don’t go anywhere! In a typical work week I don’t even go 10 miles from home. Less than 5 most days and less than 8 to go to church on Sunday! I obviously need to expand my horizons!
Love this! I live in Buffalo, NY and we just had a blizzard in December and 20-30 people died. I try and keep some stuff in my van. I love the idea of the empty water bottle.
As you were pulling everything out it reminded me of a clown car, or the Tardis. Bigger inside than outside! I live in Australia, so summers can be HOT. I haven't come up with a good selection of foods to keep in the car, but I do have a cask of water. I know it's probably a plastic coated bag, but I figure if we're stuck somewhere on a 100+ degree day, microplastics are the least of our concerns. We just need hydration! Good idea to put the electrolytes/salt in though, I'll make sure I at least do that.
That’s my biggest issue… the water! Here it would freeze in the winter! We don’t get nearly as hot as you do in summer, but I really should find a good way to keep water in the car too!!
