Every time you play Hawai'i '78, it becomes more beautiful. It doesn't hurt that you're playing on stunning instruments, but really, I believe it's in the soul of the song, and musicians and listeners respond to it with heart. Wonderful show, folks. Mahalo.
How about a masterclass member lesson on Hawai'i 78? Would love to hear Corey and Kalei's ideas on the arpeggios/changes and then improvising over the top. Please?
Mahalo for another great video, guys.. Some awesome instruments on parade! Pono has always produced excellent stuff, but it looks like they have taken it to another level. And the Anuenue stuff is always awesome. Even the lower-tier instruments. I told Kalei about an Anuenue T3 that is ALWAYS in tune - I just got it out of the back of the closet after about 2 months of not playing it and it is IN TUNE..... Aloha guys!
The first tune is mesmerizing, absolute beauty, phenomenal. The rest is only absolutely fantastic like usual:) ...and those Cornerstone Ukuleles, oh my....
Ngl, I was selfishly hoping some of these gorgeous ukes wouldn't sell before getting 'em in a full podcast episode. 😏 Now, feel free to buy 'em all, ukeaholics! 🤙🏽
Thank you Guys for a lovely set , demo and recording,👌. Hawai’i 78 is such a poignant moving song, beautifully composed, thanks for playing. Played on two interstellar instruments. The Ko’olau and KoAloha, man, just so so perfect, those luthier’s must surely take a bow. Would love to hear their inspiration and motivations to keep at the top of their craft. “KSS bracing”😂😂, think it should be the new name they adopt. The Kamaka’s and Kanile’a make me wonder, Satin, Silk or Gloss? What styles best suit them. All stunning. Bye for now.👋
Did Cornerstone change the sound hole design? I like it! Nice pointers from the masters of noodling. I like my noodles thin, like ramen. Amazing instruments Andrew
