It's all the rage: taking a crossover SUV, add some ground clearance, better tires and a certain rugged styling image and Boom, you've got a Wilderness/TRD/Trail/ Outback/ etc. crossover. OK, there's a lot of real practical stuff here, like more durable upholstery, rubber floor mats and lots of touches (like full-size spares) all designed to make this roomy, 3-row family wagon a bit better suited for venturing off the beaten path. One of the latest, but solidly executed, members of this backpacking fraternity is the Honda Pilot TrailSport. Here we have a mess of great additions to one of the best 3-row Crossovers on the market, and naturally Honda has gone to great lengths to make the vehicle fit the task, and in this case deal with some muck & mayhem with a degree of technical sharpness. Oh, and it's efficient as well. The question is, are YOU trail worthy enough? Give a watch, and decide.
