The metaphor about noticing and pointing out a house on fire was perfect. Russell never fails to impress me. I feel sorry for him sometimes as he is portrayed in the media as tilting at windmills when I feel he is doing an admirable job at what he is trying to accomplish. It is simple and straightforward to me. Just get involved in your own life and in the world around you in any way you can. It gives me inspiration and hope. And that is good. Thanks Russell. Peace.

Yep, can't hate the lib in that one. Loads of common sense, a very quick retort style to ridiculous attacks, explains accurately and with honesty, and doesn't claim at all to have all the answers nor even ability to do anything much himself, and instead encourages others a lot, noting small actions have proven to add up to real change. I don't like the extremely risque side, however all the rest makes it tolerable. Definitely a fan. Love it when he interrupts and hammers one of the mainstream interviewers to bits, and they wind up smiling and giving in to the truth, utterly defeated, with their ingrained and trained shell of lies completely destroyed.

I think Russell Brand is a caring, passionate and introspective soul who sees the problems in the world and is trying to do his part to help mankind and its problems. When God asks him at the end of his life , "what have you done with your life my son .....", Im certain that he will have lots to say about how he tried to help. It is better to be part of the solution, than part of the problem. Don't judge a man by the mistakes he might have made, but by how he tried to fix them and even those that even he himself might not even be responsible for.

I've been attempting to consume everything I can find on Russell Brand over the last few days, and I have to say that it's been so extremely relieving to finally hear someone speaking the truth about the trajectory of our society. He educates in a way that is not intimidating or exclusionary. I've ordered his book and am very much looking forward to reading it. This was a great interview, and the host was insightful and obviously does have great empathy for the the difficult war Russell is attempting to wage on our archaic political system and the transnational corporations which control it. It must be tiring, but I hope for nothing more than Russell to continue this quest. The only thing I found myself questioning when Russell spoke, is whether we really do need a a single heroic figure to rally behind, as well as a unified global movement. With the ecological destruction we're raining down, and the complete reliance of our minds on media for formulating opinions, I think a global movement initiated by someone with a feverish intellect and compassion for all people is exactly what we need. If it was dually grounded in the principals of separating money from politics and curbing the mass extinction engulfing the planet, our species just may find a path to an enjoyable sustainable existence.

Leaders are fine, in the sense of people who take the lead, show initiative, or break out of the mold. Russel is essentially a leader, we all can be in our own way, which is probably more of what he's actually advocating. Rulers on the other hand... they're a different thing. And I agree 100% with Russel, the last thing we need is for people (even like him) to step up into the existing model to try to control it. The problem is that humans can't rule humans, but we can co-operate.

He is spot everyone thinks they are "doing their bit" for the world but in effect they're doing nothing. The idea that chasing after the "better" life by following this Entrepreneurial nonsense in Capitalism is laughable. Everyone thinks "I don't want much, just that bigger house, bigger car, bigger job" all running after a goal that simply moves by the time you get to it, wake up people, how often do you experience the Carrot in a day? Or more factually it's simply the stick nowadays? Your boss got his or her job not on merit of ability but they pulled all the right strings at all the right times, ever wondered why so many men go on the golf course? Corporate deals take place on the course not in the board room, this country was bought paid and sold off decades ago, and only now are the general public coming round to this fact. Shame.

Russell Brand yep someone who gets it.lol being addicted is a time consuming hobby lol yes lots of time to yourself you will do pretty much anything hahaha eckhart tolle is great for stress. The key is not to let life circumstances dictate your inner world and find peace in the midst of chaos, everything is an opportunity to increase compassion, mental dexterity and knowledge as well as inner knowing which is differen . Nothing prompts anger management and compassion more than persecution. I thought I was a self aware person until I was confronted with massive attacks from a person within my own family who I will see no harm come to, not having my own personality moved to lash out vengeance is true self awareness and understanding that anger comes from fear, knowledge is power. Rather than fight anger with anger which solves nothing, simply making two people hurt is it progress. Personal happiness never comes from destruction of others, destruction is sad to those with a conscience and those with no remorse and who enjoy cruelty are insane, simply unable to understand right and wrong like a wild animal. They deny their own conscience and heap spiritual karma on themselves, very sad some people deny their ability to be fair and starve themselves of the ability to give and recieve love in even their lifelong families they invested in,chosing an enemy rather than a friend is to lose and fail simultaneously. When dealing with inhumane people it is better to meet the personal attack coming from a grounded sense of self? emotional abuse challenges who and what we are so its important to remember their thoughts are their thoughts and cannot change the reality of who we are in nature, understand this and adult bullies can be dealt with more effectivel . grounding in knowing who you are makes personal attacks on character or behaviour look like the insanity they are when dealing with any bully ,it is a revelation to understand all truebullies who seek our harm do not come from a place of truth and it's our reaction that is their enjoyment never the truth,so its emotional intelligence not to engage in defending a reality that is obvious and you know they know also, it is a fact there are truly evil people that enjoy nothing more than destroying kind people, know this, it is because something you are that is a threat so they will do all they can to destroy and belittle that which is authentically good, bullies are jealous so it has nothing to do with actual reality or anything you said or did, thats why i love the philosophy of connecting with self and present moment awareness as it makes us aware of present moment instead of frightening ourselves with future or attacking ourselves for past where we are powerless to act. Being centred in the moment grounds us in sanity and connects us with the eternal witnessing self behind the never ending problem solver that is our brain. Our brain doesnt care about contentment so we have to go behind the thought where we exist as pure conscious presence, stop the endless neurosis of worrying about possible future and deal with each potential issue fully inthe moment, a problem faced immediately takes away its potential to torment . No reaction to false allegations by evil people who seek our harm until in a place where justice and facts can't be manipulated and powerful people are present to solve the abuse this is when the bully can attempt to attack if they are that arrogant in the lies and contortions, the meaning behind every communication is what is more important when deciding how to respond. If an emotional abuse is the intent then the object of the game was never actually about resolving anything and nowhere is this shown to be true more than when a person refuses mediation via third parties, its good to have this history to confirm the fact it is a bully as they of course have nothing to gain when they cant bully anymore. It's great that evil people who seek harm to the harmless leave huge indication of their own agenda with every communication they make so the more prolonged and intense their vicious abuses the more evidence of the crimes they leave. Words and calls must be ignored from people seeking deliberate harm remembering that their communications alone with them are only to harm and sadly for them the abuse is a giveaway to their own depravity . The spiritual principles promoted by russel brand and others have helped me look at my serious issue dealing with low vibrational dark people who are deliberately hurting others in a new compassionate and empowered way.

It seems like Russell is going through Character Assassination. People are really hating on Brand, noticeably in the last two weeks for me. Though, to discredit truth seekers and truth warriors, this is what goes on.

Well its good to put some context to the quote I read in the Metro: Brand:'I wish I was Bisexual'....Metro Journalists, If you read this...that is shameless pathetic journalism. Why are all the major media outlets so intent on slandering this decent human being...it just incriminates them and looks suspicious as hell! Every normal person I speak to about brand thinks his message is spot on! Because it is!

While he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer Russel has a point. Hence, it is not a impossible task to make a utopian society with a vast majority of people happy and everyone with food, drink and a roof over their head with access to utilities (water, electricity, sewage, internet). It is just that a vast majority of people don't want to or can't be bothered to actually do anything that does more than just benefit themselves or those in direct contact with them. There is a way to go about this, it is called the People's Senate. While I can't say if such an idea would work or not, it would give everyone equal ground and respect everyone each onto their own. You need this world to think in a similar fashion, even if they are running their own local neighbourhoods or towns/cities differently from another to have the common ground and move from there, cooperation in engineering, science, education, culture, society and all those little every day things. Rather than doing it for that silly little I OWE YOU paper that the government prints do it to benefit man kind. Even if it is cleaning the toilets or designing a space craft, you can be assured that you are doing your part to make the world a better place, no clean toilet, increased risk of cholera, meaning such people with advanced skills would die off. "Working class" skills are underrated and often looked on as "loser"/"failure" jobs. Those folk fill the positions that would otherwise mean public society crumbles, no people to serve you food in restaurants or pour you drinks behind a bar, or clean those super market urinals, you'd be left to do it yourself. Requires a lot of thought, and a lot of logic & reason. It is, however, far form impossible to create a society that is ideal for almost everyone where even a minority has a say (what happened to the word Compromise?).

The monopolisation of power and prestige by the bureaucratic band and the top echelon in large institutions totally oppresses the workers at the bottom of the pyramid unless they band together in supportive community and work on their own self respect and self confidence. Then things can and do change .....drip by drop.
