Fellow PNWester here! I have been loving your videos...found you through the coffee house decks tag. Claire Mack's decks are my "go-to" oracles. They are just soooo well rounded and fleshy! Was pleased to find she is a "local" artist, as well, and yesss Excited to see she has a tarot coming out! I am an aesthetic tarot/oracle pairer. For me, the imagery is what speaks most directly. If there is a visual contrast in artwork, I get distracted and am less able to connect...my personal limitation, as I appreciate how the keywords, energy, and/or contrasts synthesize well for others :) I would totally be into a video about how you choose your deck pairings. I really enjoy how folk's deck work differs and am fascinated by the "why's" of what works for others. As you said about tags, they can help you discover what is meaningful at particular times and give context to where one is in their practice. Thanks again, for all your awesome content ✨
Lol I am 5 min in and I just gotta say that I love your videos! I get excited when you post something new, any how ramble on! Lol PS I too am from the PNW!
Ugh, thanks so much for joining in on this tag K, I really enjoyed seeing/listening to your choices/reasons. No wonder you’re feeling some type of way atm, that’s a whole lot of change going on! I hope it goes really smoothly for the whole family. 💗 I love that you love pip decks, as well. They’re so special and the lack of scenic, human shit really just opens it up, as you say. Or as I heard lol. That elemental one has SUCH gorgeous majors, holy shit. The minors do feel a bit haphazardly arranged, but the majors 👀✨ thank you again for joining in, it’s always a good time listening to your thoughts and seeing your selections 💗
@@LarkandLegend The Marseille Tarot Revealed is great, as is The Way of the Tarot (also Marseille). I think Tom Benjamin's book might touch on this as well. Honestly, I studied numerology separately, years before I got into cards. I've mostly taken what I learned from that study and applied it in combination with the suits. The above books have been supplemental.
I loved your response to this tag! I love the Golden Tarot too (as you know!) and I also really enjoy the Ancient Italian Tarot, so much so that it's the only Marseilles style deck in my collection at the moment. The pips are so richly done! Thanks for sharing! :)
The more you show the elemental tarot, the more I am interested in 😂 Honestly, I have to check it out. Loved your picks for this tag. We do have some in common. Looking forward to the knights video 😍
I was just thinking about this. I was thinking how awesome it would be not to see .#2022 or #2023 but life long decks. Brilliant video love the answer is simple also. I don’t see this much and brilliant you’ve showcased it here ❤
I always look forward to your videos and I think the life updates are always such a fun way to understand the person behind the deck selections. That's the fun part about this community. Can't separate tarot from life. 😊
OMG, my heart just stopped when i realized that you actually have a copy of the Cosmic Tarot (i barely know anybody that does :/)! The Cosmic Tarot was my first ever Tarot Deck i bought for myself way back when i was a teenager (spoiler alert, i´m turning 43 this April^^). I still have my first copy and only decided recently on trimming and edging it in the same drak blue color you did!!! That was some brain-hick-up here ... 🤭🤗🥰😍❤
@@amidst_the_grey Yes i do, my original copy of the Deck came with the big guidebook in the (original) german language (i´m from Austria). So it was basically a set and way back then it was pretty expensive too. But it was my very first Deck and the Deck i learned reading Tarot with, so it will always have a special place in my heart! 🥰❤ Yes i think the guidebook it pretty neat, it was very helpful when learning to read Tarot for the first time. Luckily i found it easy to understand too.
I love your channel! As a mama I could go on and on about the process of letting go with my kids, it is such a gift to watch them grow and evolve but hard to let go at times. I have purchased a number of the decks that you gave shown, The Answer is Simple oracle, The Way Home tarot, Wisdom of Hafiz oracle. I love them! So thank you! 😊
We lost two years. I lost my ability to keep track of time like I used to. 🤷♀️. I pair oracle + tarot based on energy. I like them to sing to each other. You just know it when it happens.
Ooohh -I just got a copy of "The Answer is Simple" and you are so right!! It's such a great deck:) I love your choices of decks here (I have most of these myself😊) and I LOVE your videos!! I can't wait til your next video on how to read the court cards! Thank you K:) 😉👌💕
I love Italian tarot decks! I have the Ancient Italian on my list for next month. I also love the Illuminated Earth…one of these days! So enjoyed your video. Hope you feel well again soon. Stay safe.
Loved seeing your choices, and grateful for your life update! Hope you feel better soon, and can relate with the school-life energy. I also work in Education, and it's been a wild ride lately. Also, those Claire Mack decks are super tempting 👀I'll have to look into them!
Yeah, its kinda established that your life update introductions are part of the joy of your videos.... I knew I wasn't the only one who appreciates a non human, but symbolism for energies of archetypes.... As Tom Benjamin would say, it allows stretch within a reading. I do like that elemental deck, which is handy as it is mass market.
You said that you tend to read Tarot based more on the meanings of numerology. I want to learn that too. I have a few books on numerology. I wanted to ask you what was the most helpful source that helped it click for you. Is there a tarot deck that really helps? Would that be a Marseille? Or pip. I do have a few pip decks but I read them like a traditional tarot
I definitely get a lot from Jodorowsky's The Way of the Tarot. I don't resonate with everything he had to say, but his approach to numbers is one I can get behind. Also, Vincent Pitisci is another great resource. He has several books, and a great channel, Tarot Maps.
