You gave an excellent review of the Enbba Naturals gel, and your set held up beautifully for the 11 days. Abena really formulated a great gel, and I love it. A few weeks ago I got 13 days using it over UFD and ICH. I didn't mean to go that long without washing lol, but life showed up. Thank you for showing us your method of application, and I know this set will hold up just as beautifully as the last
Thank you! I am glad to hear this as that was my goal... to provide a thorough review so people could make the best decision for their hair. This set lasted up to day 8 but I know could have gone longer.
Amazing review! I love the day by day run down of the set. Also, sometimes I cocktail my deep conditioner with the rinse out. I take a small amount of the dc apply it to my hair then apply a bit of rinse out conditioner to detangle. Great results
I literally see a difference with this gel with regard definition, elongation and shine. Your hair is also very flowy throughout the days with your previous wash and go. Wow, just wow! I will be purchasing this product! I expected no less from Abena! If I use a deep conditioner, I don't use a rinse out. It's one or the other on wash day.
I got an email when Abena dropped her gel. You're the first person I've seen review it. I've been following her for about eight years so I expected the gel to be great. Looks like you found an effective way to show your process and still give proper attention to your hair, WTG!! Girl, eleven days!?! I don't doubt that your scalp was on fire. Yikes! It was a fabulous set though!💜💜 I usually detangle with my deep conditioner when I deep condition, but I detangle just before rinsing it out after it has sat on my hair. I don't use a rinse-out conditioner when I deep condition. BTW: I think that I may have found a way to make ICH work for me. If I use just a dot on the tip of my finger and add water to emulsify it so that it spreads very thinly before I apply it to a section I can use it. I've done this with four to five sections so I'm not even using a full pump. Since I only wear a set for three to four days this seems to work. I still don't think I'll buy it again, but at least I can hopefully use up the bottle I have.
Yeah! I am glad you found a way to use the ICH you have left. Sounds like just a tad bit has been working for you. It is definitely highly concentrated. Yes, that gel from Abena is a keeper. 11 days was way more than I expected put of it, but my scalp was definitely yearning for a wash day. 😅
So unless you are mixing them, I would not use one then the other because once rinsed the cuticles are sealed, MoKnowns hair discussed this in one of her videos. She is a professional stylist!
Thank you! 11 glorious days. The owner recommends using it as a topper with a base. She uses UFD, but based on the slip and hold, I do wonder if other base gels would work too 🤔

I know! It is a nightly long time. I only did it to show others how long the set could last but definitely not making it a habit. I prefer staying in the 6-7 day range.
I have the briogeo treatment too and I find that it has the same slip and foams up as innersense CR so I don’t use a rinse out afterwards. It takes me 20 mins to detangle with my high density fine strands so I figured that it’s long enough time. I love Enbba naturals as well especially for the summer.
I love ENBBA gel - the elongation, the longevity, the shine, the no crunch is all amazing! When I use a deep conditioner under a heat cap (I do tis once a month now), I don't use a rinse out conditioner. When not using the heat cap, but still want to deep condition, I'll apply the deep conditioner topped with the rinse out conditioner, if that makes sense.
Yes, that makes sense. I think next time I use it... maybe in a month or so, I will try sandwiching the deep conditioner and rinse out conditioner just to see 🤔
It is a wonderful gel. You will enjoy it. I did a set yesterday where I worked on using a little less ennba per section, and the results are still great. I'm glad you got your hands on it.
@@JustTanoe I did a set paired with UFD and Mousse Def to try to incorporate Mousse Def because I love the scent. It came out great, but I think I used to much as well. I used too little with the ICH and too much with Mousse Def. They hth feel really good with low frizz.
@sphanksjohns I hear you. I did a set last week with just UFD and ENBBA where I used too much ENNBA. I am getting better at figuring out the ratio bit like any new thing, it takes a bit of practice.
Amazing results! Can’t wait for my Enbbanaturals to arrive in the mail. Do you find you have more volume early on in your set using Enbba vs Bamboo Ginseng?
Yes! I forgot to mention that 😅. My hair is definitely more voluminous on day 1 compared to when I use Trepadora without having to sacrifice definition.
Ah, good to know. I couldn't quite find any definite answer on if a rinse out conditioner was necessary first or after, but it's good to know some use the rinse out first.
So happy I found your channel!❤ do you mind making a video about what products you use or which one you plan on sticking with? Also can you talk about why you blow dry your hair instead of letting it air dry? Is best to blow dry? I noticed you also don’t talk about oiling your scalp or adding leaving in conditioner. My hair is similar to yours but it’s low porosity and thinner. I have achieved a similar look with Shea butter but I didn’t know we could use just gel. Do you mind making a video on hair and scalp care. If possible hair loss if you know about that.
I don't oil my scalp because I don't find it necessary in my routine. I do a hooded dryer over air drying because it helps my set last longer and reduces frizz. If I air dryed it would also take me over a day for my set to dry and by that time I would have a LOT of friz.
Personally, I know when I have enough ICH in a section based on how heavy the section gets amd I also notice more curl definition and clumping. Took me a while to figure out what it looked liked on my hair.
Hi, Very nice video 😊❤ Please could you explain what the advantage of covering the UFD with shower cap for 10 minutes is? BGC recommend it sometimes but I don’t know what the purpose is..❤
I am not on a set schedule per say. I had not deep conditioned for years then I added deep conditioning this year and was doing it once a month for about 3 months then didn't feel like my hair needed it monthly so I went down to using it when I felt like my hair needed it which for me is usually whe I clarify (my hair feels stripped after clarifying) about every 2 months or so. I honestly am not very knowledgeable about deep conditioners. I rarely deep conditioned prior to doing wash and gos, mainly because I dislike having to interrupt my wash day to deep condition for more than 5 minutes. I use the breogeo don't despair (which was gifted and thankfully is a great deep conditioner). You can check out lines from the doux or Uncle Funky's Curly Magic to see if there is one you like, but again, I have no experience with using a deep conditioner from their line.
Thank you! I want to work on less raking and more smoothing during styling. Ultimately, I would love to apply my stylers, smooth and entire section, and just let it be. My OCD is getting in the way, though 😆 🤣
