Granny Pat, you and your family have such an interesting history. All the wonderful stories of your lives, handed down to you, and now you're sharing them with us. I think that might have been one of your mother's greatest gifts to you--teaching you about your roots. These two videos devoted to your mother's memory have blessed me. Thank you so much!

Thank you Pat for your beautiful words! You sure can keep a person entertained! You remind me of my grandmother talking to me when I was a child and staying for an overnight visit and telling me a bedtime story before falling asleep! I’m 75 now and thanks to you relived so many memories. I never miss a video! You are wonderful. You are family!

I’m 76 years old, my mom was from a family of 9 and so many stories you spoke of sounded like stories I would hear as a little girl listening to my mother’s 7 sisters remembering their days as youngsters. I could listen to you for hours. You are wonderful. I have natural curly hair little longer than yours can you remember this my mother died in 98 at 75 and rolled her beautiful hair with Bobby pins until her death it was shoulder length well those curlers you use are the ones I tried but they pull my hair so I use Bobby pins. They are not as well made as they used to be. They are hard to open and to slide on your curl.a southner but 5 years in Phoenix.

These were really great stories! Back in 1942, November, my momma was born in Tennessee. My grandfather was in the Air Force then. Our families may have crossed paths ☺️ My grandfather was stationed at Area 51 the yr before the crash. I believe they were either in Nevada or California right after. You know how much they moved around from base to base. At one point he was stationed in England and the family was in Tennessee through that. They settled in Los Angeles. Moving around was ingrained into the DNA of my family, for better or worse. It's just fun to think how they were around the same area roughly the same time. They (all) were strong stock back then. They had to be. So many horrible times. If we are smart, we learn from them. Just as you are our storyteller now ☺️♥️

I enjoyed your stories of your Mama and Daddy. It reminds me of my Grandma and my parent's stories. My Grandma was born in 1918. She lost a 16 yr old daughter to cancer and her husband 2 yrs later also to cancer. She was one of 7 girls and had 1 brother. My Mom was one of 11 kids and her Mama raised a grand-daughter, so 12 total. My Mom's Dad died when my Mom was only 5 yrs old. Her Mom never remarried fearing someone may mistreat her kids. They lived in Georgia and Alabama. Very similar stories as you have shared. They spoke a lot about working a farm and picking cotton. My Mom was born in 1936. My Dad in 1934. Thank you for sharing your stories. I love the portrait of your Mom. She was beautiful! God Bless❤

Your mother was so stong, having to go thru her health issues, even today that is not any easy situation to handle. I know all of u are so glad that u could take care of her. She raised strong, caring children. Oh yes, the secret of Oak Ridge, a mute word in my house at that time.
