"It Evaporates" by Tv Girl has made me realize something that's been keeping me up at night, halting my mission of preserving video game media on this channel. I've come to understand that death is inevitable; the very things I want to keep sacred and exist past my own existence will one day fade away, just like everything else. This archive channel, my baby, might outlast me, but who knows for how long? A decade? A few decades? Maybe a couple of hundred years, maybe a thousand more? It's uncertain, especially with the world's current conflicts. The thought that my efforts might not have a lasting impact has always been daunting, making it hard to stay motivated or find meaning in what I do. But after some reflection, I think I get it now. I should be living my life to the fullest, making others happy, and preserving what I can so that someone else might find their own light. So, to all of you who make my life better, I hope I do the same for you. Go make friends, be weird, be yourself, talk to that person, take your medicine, go to bed, work out, eat, brush your teeth, get dressed-because you never know when you'll have another chance to question yourself about making that choice. Let's cherish the moments we have and live our lives fully, even in the face of impermanence.
Thank you for posting this, sometimes the fear of mortality and hopelesness keeps me paralized and I hate that. I love life and want to live it to its fullest and work on the things that matters to me. Also I think that like matter, nothing is created or destroyed, just changes forms. Your efforts in preserving the thinks you love will be meaningfull to someone and affect them, I think in that way everything keeps existing, just in other ways
