Great presentations Goldfinger!! The more I see of all you provide the more I want more candy around my neck and wrist. Kudos from Ohio. Nice t-shirt you're sporting. :). That barrel link is keeping me up at night. Soo hypnotic! I'm saving my box-tops leaning towards 20 & 10 baht neck & wrist. With 20 baht infinity links...no clasp. Belated happy anniversary to you and Pat.
Hi Tom ! Happy Anniversary to you both .I don't know if you remember me (Dave Jones , from the UK ) I bought a Franco chain from you back in November last year . I am very pleased with the chain and the quality of the workmanship involved . I did ask you at the time if you could give me any details of the craftsman involved ( name , age, where abouts he is situated ect. ) but you were unable to because of the holidays that were going on at the time . If it's not to late , could you give me any information now ? I did email you a couple of times but you must have been to busy at the time . Thanks in advance
Happy 22nd anniversary and congratulations! I always look forward to seeing your videos. The rope style is beautifully crafted, even though it’s not solid core. Short barrel chain, is it just this specific chain that’s not solid core?
Thank you! many chain links are hollow or semi hollow. Some of the link walls are very thin thus quite fragile. This is called "Puff" gold here in Bangkok. We do not sell this type of chain. It is not durable. On the other end of the spectrum, the bar, and barrel links have a very thick wall. Each link weighting about 4.8 grams on a 6.5 Baht bracelet. But if the link was completely solid the weight would be so much, that the price would be very expensive and the link quite small. The semi hollow, thick walled links are the way to go. Thanks for your question.
Hello... I have been watching your channel for a while now. I had a question. I have some .999 gold coins and .999 silver coins. Are .999 silver coins easy to liqidate in Thailand?
This chain link style is semi hollow but the connections are made of solid gold so it's very strong. The link can be made solid as well but it would take a lot of gold to achieve the same link size.
Hello Tom This is Lon Johnson A customer of yours I asked you last year if you could get me a man's wedding band At the time you said everything was closed down from covid I'd like to know if you can correspond with me now and let me know If you can get me one
The manufacturing of rings is the last area of jewelry that has been restocked by most shops. That is why when rings are depleted it take several months to get them in stock again. Also I deal with wholesale shops and often I have to buy a minimum number of rings in order to get one for a customer. If I purchased a ring from a retail shop the labor cost would be triple the price and could then be rejected by the customer.
Why buy from you as middleman, when you Can go in a goldsouk in Bangkok and self se feel and pay less baht for baht chains. A mans chain shouldnt weigh less than 8baht like 120grams, the 96,5% is more heavy so if youre use to 14-18k you have to get use to its gonna weigh maybe 30% more than 14k or more..
