24 Feet Span of Beam Reinforcement | Beam Structural Design | 

When do you calculate your beam to be L3 or L4? To know the distance of the bent up bar or stirrups. My project is a garage car port that is cantilevered over a slope. It’s 24 ft by 36 ft. My columns will be 12 ft on center. 12 columns total. What and how should my columns and beams be calculated. Thx for your response.
