Column size 9/15 with 6 Rods(16mm 4bars and 12mm 2bars with 8mm rings @6inch) and distance between two columns is 15.8feet. two rooms, each 12feet/15.8feet. Footing 6.5feet depth width 4x4, with 1feet 40mm and 2.5feet 20mm. Is this good for g+2 residential building?
Thanks a lot o was looking for this for a long time but didn't find much info. The span I have is 22 ft. Columns 9*14inches, 4 bars16mm and 2 bars 12 mm door/lintel beam is 6inches and the roof beam is 12 inches deep 16mm bars. Will it be sufficient?
Sir, If we have four steel rods on the bottom of the beam and three steel rods in the column to tie off to how is it possible to tie the two middle rods in the beam to one middle rod in the column? I'm confused.
Sir My newly constructed house have one of the beam of length of 5.2 m (16.5 ft) and one secondary beam is tested on it. It is 230×300mm but we used 4 no of steel bars of 16 mm at bottom and 2 nos of 16 mm + 1 no of 12 mm at top. So ll it sustain to that amount of load for longer period or developed crack??? As I see many engineers recommend more than 450 mm deep beam.
Can we know from you, the load bearing of our existing Residential structure, to go for further floors, at professional consultation. Then how to communicate, please. Regards.
I have one doubt , In your previous video you say As per Indian standard min depth of beam is d/16 = 19/16= 1.2 ft but you say now 1 ft is enough . how !?
SIR I HAVE 16 feet span G+1.stroy, i have provide beam ( 9 inch *12 inch ) , with 16 mm 2 bar, and 12 mm 1 bar at bottom, and 2 bar of 12 mm at top with 8mm stirrups @150mm c/c spacing, is it safe?? Also column size -(9"*15")
Your beam steel is not correct for 19 ft span... Moreover depth of beam is also very less for 19 ft... It should be minimum 19 ft... Rest of the calculation and suggestions are well.
