Such an amazing channel, hope you guys continue to grow. Love all the work you do. Currently rebuilding a 1993 integra I pulled out of a field and your videos help keep me motivated to keep working on it!
@@ValveHouseAU I am, I'm taking pictures every step of the way and writing down everything I touch on it. The car isn't missing a single bolt or trim piece and still had its original floor mats, got it for 300$ with clean title, engine and trans. Ill have to throw some pictures up somewhere and get you a link!
Did you guys connect the reverse switch directly into the ek4 harness and ditched the wiring that connected to the body harness originally done with the d series manual swap?
Sounds awesome ! Planning to do the same with my EJ8. Are those OEM weathersheilds? And do you know if you can use a del sol ECU with an EK4 engine or vice versa?
Oem weathershields. EK4 and Del Sol use pretty much the same ecu, as long as you get one that matches the motor you’re all good to go! Some ecu will require an immobiliser delete
Hit up Type R Spares (Sam Daftar) on Facebook, prices have come down quite a lot so I’d be getting one now if you can. Rego is simple as we got the engine registered to the chassis.
hi mate such a good video and i am planning to do the same as well, running a D15 non-vtec(With air box on top one), may i ask what i need to complete with a B16 swap? Civic ek3 sedan with shxt D15B. all i know from my understanding will be Engine/ gearbox/ engine mount/ ECU/ Engine loom/ Shift linkage/ driveshaft/ exhaust header to muffler, but the thing is, do i need to look for the wiring loom that sit under the dashboard and will they needed to be swap as well? also what if i wanna keep the A/C system on my car, anything special or extra i need to look for? thanks again and wish u all the best with Vtec kick in all day long!! cheers
Sounds like you’ve got most sorted! You should be able to keep everything under your dash, as long as you get an ek b16 harness it should all plug and play! In this swap we used a CRV (B20B) AC bracket which allowed us to retain the stock ac system without losing the gas! That way all you need to do it bolt it up to the new engine and BOOM AC!
thanks mate for the reply and really helpful for me, as i got different information regarding wiring loom must be in OBD2 A version or somthing similiar, it makes me confuse and stop in here@@ValveHouseAU
