Hi I'm currently on carnivore been on for 3 months mostly beef ,salt, water I also distill my water been getting alot of cramps when moving, stretching. Thought I was supposed to be getting everything I need from meat and salt ( himalayan or celtic I'm using) What would you recommend for a proper protocol for me to sort this also getting alot of muscle twitching??? I know I'm nutrient deficienc cause my nail bed tells me this ( terrys nails) my longest ongoing problem is my ibs and gut issues so I don't think I'm absorbing the nutrients properly and can't seem to fix this well frustrating 😑
Personally I'm getting less cramps the longer I'm carnivore (2 months now). Perhaps your body needs more time to adjust and get used to the new way of eating. I'd incorporate beef liver, perhaps bone marrow, and if you can get spring water or mineral water (don't get it from plastic bottles) for extra minerals/electrolytes. Don't drink too much water too often, drink only when you are thirsty, a little dehydration is fine - perhaps even beneficial, and is a natural way for your body to signal you that it is thirsty. As for your digestion, do not drink water prior or after consuming a meal - ideally 2 hours before nor 2 hours after eating (or at least 1 hour) so you don't dilute your stomach acid and making things more difficult to absorb and digest properly. I'd also try OMAD - water fasting for most of the day and then eat one larger meal (until fully satisfied) on an empty stomach. Perhaps you could also experiment with water fasting for 1 day a week or something like that. If I were you I would just stick with it for longer, and see how your body adjusts in a long run.
Also get out on the sun every day as long as you can without burning yourself to get your vitamin D (don't wash your body at least 1 hour after sunbathing because you could remove a lot of vitamin D synthesis from your skin therefore getting less vitamin D in your blood). And if you can, try to incorporate grounding on a regular basis.
