One of my goals this year is to do a 24hour read-a-thon but I think I would have to stay in a hotel to do it because my kids would have none of me sitting and reading lol.
a dash of ash Do you ever read a book and when you read a certain sentence it just doesn’t make sense or you don’t get it? Or am I reading books that’s not in my level?
I definitely reccomend reading in a public setting. Usually when I do one, I go to my local YMCA or the library. I also reccomend just constantly having coffee. I probably had like 8 cups of coffee last time I did one
I survive 24 hrs readathons by drinking lots of coffee. I also read a book and a graphic novel starting with the graphic novel to start feeling accomplished.
This was such a lovely cosy vlog! ahhh I love that it's so nice and warm where you live! Whooo you did so great! Also, I'm digging your sweater and your octopus tshirt hahah. Now I really want to get myself some reading clothes, because I literally don't own any clothes with cool book prints on it!
Aww haha thanks Britt! I tried my best😂 my family actually got me all of it for Christmas! The shirt is an epic reads shirt from Barnes and Noble I think, and then hoodie is from Etsy! 🥰
24-hour readathon tip: start after you sleep, so you're actually well-rested and motivated. usually, all my motivation is gone when I sleep in the middle of the readathon and I just quit halfway through, teehee. so yeah, that helps.
Ash (and yes im saying ash because idk how she spells her full name): I'm the type of person who doesn't really go anywhere, and stays in one place the whole time when I'm reading next clip: *ash going outside* *ash going on a walk*
I always start my 24 hour readathons when I wake up and do them for about 19 hours before falling asleep. I think it's better for my sanity to start then instead of at midnight.
More reading vlogs, please. I love them so much! Edit: I have done readathons before but never really thought of them like that when I did lol. I did a readathon of harry potter and the Philosophers Stone and finished it and then I read the Son of Neptune right after cause I was in that midgrade mood and got over 100 pages through it.
I’m definitely planning on more! 🤗 also, I feel that! I’ve read multiple books very quickly before but never thought of them as readathons, so this was cool to do😌
When a readathon lasts a week, people aren't expected to stay awake for the entire week. I don't know why people always act like "it doesn't count" for 24 hour ones if they aren't reading every single moment of it. It should just be "read as much as you can during this 24 hour period"
Hehe I get that 70f is chilly to you, But I'm still giggling 😂 We keep our house at 69f and today it was rainy and warm outside at 50f 😂. And you're not boring at all. This vlog was sooooo enjoyable! ☺️
a dash of ash haha no need to feel bad at all! It'll start warming up by April 😂 but In the summer I'll be complaining it's too hot as soon as it's 80f 😂🙈.
i did my own 24 hour readathon this year and managed to finish 415 pages only bc i started on a day when i’m so tired lol but at least i managed to finish 1 book in a day.
