Hello and congratulations!!! So exciting :) gosh, so many things. So I had a c-section, it went really fast. I overpacked for sure, the hospital provides almost everything you will need. I would be sure to bring some comfortable pajamas and whatever toiletries you need to feel “at home.” I brought my breast pump so the lactation consultants could teach me how to use it and I’m glad I did. Even if you’re not pumping, make sure to take advantage of the lactation consultants for help with latching or with your pump. I used both formula and breast milk in the beginning, the most important thing is that the babies are fed. Hmmm, as far as postpartum, I say get as much help as you possibly can. I had a night nurse the first 3 months so I could get some rest, and my husband took a lot of time off work too. Just take the help where you can get it! Also, I didn’t even think about trying the lose baby weight until 4 months after they were born. I was just too tired and with pumping I was still so hungry😂be sure to sleep when you can, and try to get the twins on the same feeding schedule. I fed my little guys every 3 hours. I would wake them up to feed them just to stay on that schedule. That really helps with getting some sleep for yourself. Finally, give yourself some grace!! You are a superhero for going through a twin pregnancy and you are going to be an amazing mama!!!
@@JennyMitich thank you SOOO MUCH!! for all of these amazing tips and I’ll be sure and take them all into consideration and use them while in labor tomorrow at my induction 🥰 thank you again, I appreciate all your help and your an amazing mama as well!! TO BEING TWIN MAMAS 🥂 (my cup w/ apple juice hypothetically😂)
How did you work your sleep schedule? I have 3 week old twins and my husband and I are finding it hard to sleep unless we have my mom to take a shift so one of us can get longer than a 1-2 hour stretch 😞
Hello and congrats! Yes, sleep was sporadic the first 3 months. I had to be up every few hours to pump and feed them, my husband helped as well. We also had a night nurse for the first 3 months, 3 days a week, so I could get more sleep.
