Ignoring everything else because I’m not gonna start an argument, he carries on every single dribble. Altering the balls path and causing it to stop in your hand is a carry, which is what every player does when they dribble with their hand on the side of the ball. This is never called, but it’s still mentioned in Section II (c) (2) of the rulebook. More commonly, a carry is done when players hand is below the plane of the ball. As seen in the very first clip of the video, on Kobe’s first dribble he brings the ball to a stop with his and underneath the ball and keeps dribbling. This is also back in 1998, when this was still practically a rule, so it’s unarguably a violation. Whether you think Kobe is better than any current player or not, it is clear that rules are still being violated. Once again, I don’t want to argue, I only bring it up because you explicitly stated that he does not carry the ball, and he most definitely does.
@@GingeryGinger Or maybe, everything I said is objective and entirely backed by the video that is being commented on. I made sure to not put any of my opinion in it because people in comment sections are stupid and arguing is a waste of time :)
We all miss you Kobe may you rest in peace😢 I know the times when i was very little that watch with my dad the NBA and saw Kobe Bryant playing. The good old days😭
kobe, we need you right now, please tell rob pelinka to end his addiction to your meat, because i don't want dlo being traded for finney-smith and scrubs😭😭🙏🙏
Kobe was so skilled. This video shows the difficult shots he made and he made it looks easy. Definitely one of the most difficult shot makers, one of the most skilled baskektball players one of the most skilled athletes ever. Kobe forever!!
@@iveyDEOnah it’s a fact. Kobe isn’t the goat by any metric, so how can he be the goat. Hes definitely top 10, and he got the mamba mentality, but he’s not the goat
Rip Kobe! Born in 92 and raised in OC. Watching the Lakers was the highlight of my childhood and early adulthood. I’ll never forget my mom and I cheering the Lakers and Kobe on during all those playoff battles!

Got the blessing to watch this man in his prime dominate. From 8 to 24. Will never again see another player like this in my lifetime. I hope I’m right too.. Gone too soon. Rest in Power Bean 🙏
people forget how comfortable us kobe fans were when he had that ball in his hands and the clocks winding down with minimum 2 to 3 defenders smothering him. we always knew that shots goin in, some how. Just get the ball to kobe. rest easy you big hound.
Wow, one of the truest statements I've read in the sports community in a long time. I was one of those fans. It's the last time an athlete ever had that kind of self-possession. Curry was dazzling but it wasn't the prowess that Kobe had.
Nobody, not even Air Jordan, loved the sport of Basketball more than Black Mamba did. We got a Glimpse of Gigi young Basketball career. 😳 fadawayin' on them like Kobe, the killa attitude like Kobe, and loves the sport of Basketball like Kobe. Something special was about to happen.
the reverse layup on the suns and the turnaround 3 over b roy a Aldridge was when i saw Kobe as a basketball God. If i remember correctly both games were on the same week and he was on a tear of 50's and 60 point games.
