#21 isn’t IDJ, it is Quick Double Jump. Instant Double Jump is buffering a jump within the jump squat while Quick Double Jump does the jump after leaving the ground. If you go into frame by frame you can see that an IDJ up air doesn’t reach top plat.
Is That 3d in the tumbnail? I cant imagine Shiek having that much detail on her ingame model. Plus you cant get that angle while she is doing her final smash right? It looks sick tho!

Since people think cloud is fine i made an essay on his issues and very bad weaknesses which is why he sucks. Enjoy Cloud is a character appearing from the iconic series of final fantasy from the iconic game FF7. In smash ultimate, he really sucks and needs buffs. The risk vs reward on this character is skewed to where there is no reward for risk. Lets say you up b out of shield to punish bad shield pressure, if the opponent SDI's you get punished because they can pop out and now you might be offstage where they can force you to airdodge and easily kill you. Limit only lasts 15 seconds but doesn't even kill well and can easily be camped out and finishing touch is so unsafe that it can lead to your death also because being offstage is usually a death sentence and because how much recovery it has when it whiffs or hits a shield so the risk for using limit is high but the reward is so lackluster that he basically gets nothing and you don't need to be scared of cloud in limit. another risk vs reward issue is crosslash. Lets say you crosslash someone, well they can randomly pop out and if you went offstage and did it well you are dead and they are probably alive because most recoveries in ultimate are good or decent. Nair is so small most characters can easily challenge it and win the tradeoff and makes it unreliable out of shield leaving cloud with upsmash which is frame ten. He has no grab combos and a frame nine grab with horrible range, no safe moves on shield except spaced bair and his combo game is super lack luster. With good DI, SDI and just being in clouds face, he has no way to answer back and when he gets limit he doesn't really get any benefits thanks to the nerfs it recieved in ultimate. You have a character with no killthrows, no reliable kill confirms,no great out of shield option, abysmal recovery, moves that people can get out of and an aerial that doesn't even function as it might have been intended and moves that might not kill even a sheik till very late percents when they di well and even if it isn't stale. Cloud in ultimate sucks.
Man cloud needs buffs. Cloud doesn't even feel like a character anymore. Knock him offstage and he is dead. Nair can be challenged by almost any move so nair does not work, limit is so bad now, his grab is abyssmal, and you can SDI climhazard and punish him afterwards so up b out of shield is not a real OOS option. The best you have is upsmash cause nair won't protect you at all. Cloud limit is so bad you won't die at 80 to limit crosslash midstage and it only last 15 seconds. Playing cloud is depression in ultimate. :(
I don't know if this is bait or something but I would really hope that limit cross slash didn't kill at 80 mid stage, that's be WAY too strong. Also Cloud doesn't really need buffs, he could use some here and there, but he's a high tier character already. I don't know why you bring up nair so much, his main tool nowadays is bair. Climbhazard works fine the majority of the time in my experience, most grabs in Ultimate suck so it's not just Cloud, and his recovery is bad yes, but I mean look at Chrom, dude has arguably the worst recovery in the game yet is nearly top tier. Cloud is fine as is but it wouldn't be ridiculous to give him a few more small things.
@@shadowstar2194 Killing at 80 wouldn't even be broken. Joker with arsene dair upsmash kills at 60, wii fit nair up smash with deepbreathing kills at 50 and shulk with smash arte can kill at as early as 45. This would just make cloud better but more importantly much more fun in terms of using limit crosslash. I would say chrom recovery is much better than non limit climhazard in ultimate. I don't give a shit about balance if they aren't gonna make the characters fun as well when buffing them. I want shoryu styled buffs where it improves the character and makes them more fun.
@@shadowstar2194 Also i think cloud is an overrated mid tier if imma be honest. He has so many flaws and on top of this he doesn't get any great results offline and any notable player that picks him up eventually drops him. My issue is that he isn't fun anymore. So many think when they hear complaints its cause the character is bad tierwise. I complain when something isn't fun and bad. To me cloud is just a boring midtier that's no fun and sux.
@@dave9515 Killing at 80 would absolutely be broken midstage like you said you would want it to be. Where are you pulling these numbers from? Cause Joker dair up smash does not kill at 60, Wii Fit in my quick testing does not kill at 50 with nair up smash unless its a platform of Battlefield, even then it doesn't come up as a true combo and is more of a tech scenario on a platform to set it up, and Shulk's fully charged f smash from mid stage barely kills at 45 with smash art on so DI would 100% prevent that. And for reference, I tested all of this on Chrom who is the middle of the pack in terms of weight. Chrom's recovery seems better especially because of his air speed, the difference being that he never snaps to ledge unless you know the exact sweet spot to do so, every time he up bs, he's easily punishable, he can be spiked or countered with almost no effort. Cloud's climbhazard doesn't immediately snap to ledge either (they did buff it so it snaps faster though) but at least it does snap at all. Spargo still plays the character and has been on the rise so I think we can expect to see some Cloud results and results isn't all that matters, Pikachu doesn't have a ton and the only notable Pikachu, that I know of, is ESAM, yet Pikachu is easily top 1-5 in the game. Overall, I think Cloud is fine as is, but could use some small buffs. Look at the most recent Fox buff on his dair and fair, very minimal changes yet they lead to more tech chase kill confirms and allow for more combos. I don't know exactly what they could change, but something similar to that. As for the fun part, that's subjective, I enjoy playing him and I enjoy watching him at high levels. Also one last thing, that philosophy that balance shouldn't matter as long as it means making the character fun is how you end up with horrible game design. It may be fun to play as, but what about playing against? Take a look back at Bayonetta from Smash 4, fun when you ladder combo someone to death at like 20, not fun (or fair) when it happens to you. I know said you want the character to be improved while also being made fun, I agree, that's why I liked the Ike changes so much, but making cross slash kill at 80 ain't the way to do that in my opinion.
