Attack Cancel (Smash Ultimate)

NOTE: Attack cancel works with with SMASH STICK too, but you can't F-tilt turnaround aerial, and instant reverse aerial can't be executed as quickly. This technique also works with PRO CONTROLLER and DUAL JOYCONS.

The simplest way to think about it is : 1.Tilt controller stick in desired direction for a split second 2. Use c - stick for tilt move 3. Jump cancel with either L or R (ZL or ZR) All comes down to timing really

Dash Attack Cancelled Up ...Air

For those of you who have been having issues attack cancel bair with the gc controller, I think I realized something. I could not do it consistently because I was pressing the L button too deep! (I use L to jump). Try doing it by lightly tapping L or R (whatever you have set to jump) when you need to jump and it should come out much easier. Hope this helps someone. 5 months later and I finally got it!

DEAREST ROSALINA MAINS FOR THE MEAN TIME PLEASE SETTLE FOR MY TEXT TUTORIAL. First I’ll lay down some acronyms DAC= dash attack cancelled NACWL= Nair cancelled wave land FS= forward smash J1= first jab. So the way the combo works is actually because luma desyncs from Rosalina. What you want to do is DAC>NACWL This will cause luma to dash attack the opponent. Depending on percent you either want to WL directly down or at a °45 angle towards your opponent. And follow up with a J and then repeat the process. I recommend the 45° for higher percents. The kill combo I’ve only been able to do at higher percents as the opponent doesn’t hit the ground as fast after Lumas dash attack. At 100% you can go directly into FS, instead of J and you should be able to kill everyone. The timing for all the cancelling is as follows. First learn how to dash attack from a standing position. Then learn how to wave land. Then mix the two. There is a small beat between the wave land and the dash attack. But besides that the button inputs are practically instantaneously. Please remember that all characters are different and this will work at different percentages. Once they reach their kill percent for FS. Just go for that instead. This does work on the whole roster. Hopefully a video will be out soon where he explains it in detail.

While it is an extremely convenient maneuver, just a quick reminder that the DACUS (dash-attack cancelled up-smash, which was an advanced tech in Brawl) was present briefly in the early stages of Sm4sh 3DS’s release, with it only being removed one month later via the 1.0.4. patch and disabling what were some crazy character setups, similar to how Rosalina was shown to have crazy setups here. (Prime example being how Wario could hit with Dash and instantly hit with his Up Smash for a two hit combo) I personally don’t want it to be patched out, but this situation is looking way too similar...

After countless attempts and comparisons to learning a forgotten ancient fucking language I'm convinced that attack cancels dont even exist and that you're a secret government experimental super soldier designed to be really good at smash bros

It doesn't feel consistent honestly, I'm doing test on my own and it seems like the window on the dash attack is 2 frames, which is insane. I'll keep this updated EDIT: It is indeed a 2 frame window (33 ms) not bufferable, and for jabs it actually is a 1 frame window, so frame perfect. Just in case people were wondering.
